review from 9/18/2018:
This one is pretty much a mess. It doesn't seem to line up with the description of the movie on the cover, and also seems like it's three completely unrelated stories merged together. The technical aspects are decent, but again, are inconsistent because two thirds of the movie is subtitled with the remaining third (which is in the middle of the movie) is dubbed. If you're a major anime fan this one might be worth a rental (and it's a really big might), but there's got to be better releases out there than this! [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 29 min. Production Date: None listed Director: None credited Cast: Animated The Short Story Initial Expectations: Angel Core 1 didn't do a lot for me, but it was just interesting enough that I decided to check out the second installment. I can't say that I'm going in with too high of expectations. Initial Reaction: It isn't much of an improvement over the first part. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting darker porn Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting comfortable animated sex, humor, or action The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is only presented in Japanese with the option of several different subtitles. The video varies. Some of it is pretty good, but others are quite blurry. Music: The music is nicely done, and very well balanced with the rest of the audio. Menus: The main menu works together some decent animation with a good still. [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 27 min. Production Date: None given Director: None credited Cast: Animated The Short Story Initial Expectations: I know nothing about this one, but for some reason felt drawn to check it out. I'm guessing it's a little fallout from my enjoyment of Ghost in the Shell and animated girls with guns here. Initial Reaction: It's dark and didn't do a lot for me. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting darker porn that looks for a way to excuse pedophilia Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting comfortable animated sex, humor, or action The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty well done. The only audio is in Japanese, which is translated with some okay subtitles. The video is smooth and nicely done. Music: The music is very well blended with the rest of the audio. Menus: The main menu is nicely done, and has an animation style that gave a great first impression. [read the full review]

review from 4/27/2005:
The second release from japan X and Hustler is long on adventure and storytelling and somewhat short on sexual action. The little that does go on is pretty good, and you will get your usual multi-armed monsters and female super heroines to spend both volumes saving the day, but it will not be one that you will remember for its sexual content. There are three females that spend their time keeping a super villain at bay, and thats all find, well and dandy but if you can follow the plot, better for you. I watched it for what a lot of other people watched it-for the sex. But like I said, it doesnt get nearly as raw as Hustlers previous release, and I have seen a lot better from other animated DVDs. Get it for no other reason than to say that you have both of Hustlers animated DVDs, and remember, its not bad at all really. [read the full review]

J.R.'s
review from 4/13/2005:
Hustler continues to make their mark in the adult industry by releasing a very good animated adult feature. It is actually two episodes, Parts one and two, but is so well done that you will forget that it is a adult series and focus on the all-out fucking. And there is plenty. These characters do it in every which way there is to do it, and it packs more sex in the slightly less than an hour production than most animated fare to come from Japan in awhile. The sex includes a multiple-dicked monster, a shemale fucking the shit out of our heroine, lesbian fare, and more double penetrations than I have seen in a compilation disc. Nothing is blacked out or digitized, as they like to do it in Japan, so you will see all holes penetrated and cum flying everywhere. There are no extras at all, and the only other thing that I say would take a half-point off is that the second episode looks like it was not animated as well as the first episode. Also, the animation could have been better, because I know most of you have seen adult animated porn with top-notch animation. [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 59 min. Production Date: 3 / 18 / 2003 Director: None credited (at least, not in English) Cast: Animated The Short Story Initial Expectations: My luck with anime has been very hit or miss. Hustler has shown a lot of class with their DVDs, so I have a fair amount of hope here. Initial Reaction: Its one of the most enjoyable anime features Ive seen. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting anime that feels like its made for normal people rather than rapists and pedophiles Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting the dark and sadistic side of anime The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is presented entirely in Japanese without any English dubbing. Its pretty clear, and you have the option of whether or not you want English subtitles. The subtitles are pretty good, but often have odd breaks that sometimes break up words. The video is a bit weak. Think Pokemon with a bit of softness and blurriness to the animation. Aaryanna's
review from 1/14/2011:
The title, Body Transfer, describes the plot fairly succinctly. A young man, Kenichi, and all of his female classmates end up inhabiting each others bodies and experiencing each others physical sexual responses. How cool is that? As porn, Body Transfer is only moderately entertaining. As adult anime, it does have some nice girl-girl scenes, even if its just mainly kissing. The movie also teaches us indirectly how women can learn to enjoy porn much, much more. And who wouldn't want to know that? Enjoy. [read the full review]

review from 2/14/2005:
Cage Review: This disc proclaims to be "The Greatest XXX Anime Ever Made". That always aggrevates me to begin with, especially in a genre such as adult erotica. Different people are gonna have a wide variety of how they think something is, and it is just ridiculous to claim such things. If this disc was good or excellent in all the non viewpoint catagories, I could atleast see why the hype, but frankly, this disc is plastered full of errors and issues. It has no place to claim it is the Greatest of anything in my view. I always try to find some positives in anything, and there are a few periods where the sex is decent, but there is just flaw after flaw here, that really atleast in my view keep it from ever being anywhere near acceptable. The basic structure here, is that the disc is about 56 minutes long, and a 2 part movie with 28 minutes an episode. The story is often what really is aspiring in these Anime discs to me, many times other areas fall short, but usually the story atleast is somewhat interesting. [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 28 min. Production Date: 2003 Director: None listed Cast: Animated The Short Story Initial Expectations: Ive had mixed luck out of NuTechs anime releases, and Im not expecting this to be one of the enjoyable ones. Initial Reaction: Ironically, its surprisingly tender and worth talking about. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a bit of romance and a few monsters Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting the usual rape, drugs, and other icky things that normally seem to accompany these movies. The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The audio is normally clear and well balanced. The video is also clear, but seems a little more primitive than a lot of the other anime features Ive seen. Music: The music is soft and tender, and goes a long way in helping set the mood for the scenes. Menus: The main menu is long, and almost acts as a trailer for the feature before the selections come up. [read the full review]

The video is clear, as it should be with animation, and the animation style varies throughout the feature. Some of it is about the level of Pokemon, but theres also quite a bit thats at the level of a third grade flip-book. Music: The music is typical for Oriental movies and cartoons. Some of the translation is extremely cheesy, but it all comes across clearly. The video is also very clear. There are no remnants, and the animation, although fairly simple, is pretty good. Music: The music is fun and rests nicely in the background of the scene. Menus: The main menu has some decent cheesy animation that gives the DVD a good first impression. [read the full review]

review from 6/24/2003:
I've been a fan of adult anime for a long time now with a fairly decent collection of VHS titles. This is my first DVD of such kind, and also the first title I've seen from Nu-Tech. If all of their titles are like Custom slave, I will have little interest in anything else from the company. The plot of the title is rather simple and typical of adult anime; a young girl named Sayako attends a private school that transforms her into a sex slave. The story of Sayako's transformation is highlighted, however, not with views of the girl herself, but from short scenes with her aged parents, which is not the desire I have when viewing an adult title. As most adult anime goes, Sayako is unwilling at first, but over time submits willingly. Unfortunately, the time is short. The animation is a bit bland at times; very simple structures without any details, and while Sayako is pretty, with enormous (for her figure at least) breasts, most of the movie's characters are not well done. Girl/Girl Anime thats better than the Real Thing! Some of the video games that my boyfriend and I play can sometimes get pretty sexy! But none of them hold a candle in terms of eroticism to the babes in Stainless Night. Maybe its their pre-pubescent faces with their big eyes and delicate chins; or maybe its the voluptuousness of their figures. Or maybe its just the naturalness in which they make love to each other as though every girl in cartoonland is bisexual! Cool! Whatever it is, I found this movie so exciting that I couldnt keep my finger off of my own love button and not the fast-forward button throughout this films fantastically romantic love scenes. I dont mean to be gross, and I normally dont talk about the tactile enjoyment I perpetrate on myself in my reviews. But this video left me as physically and emotionally spent as each of the animated babes in this movie! Heres the plot. Millennia is a beautiful android who has been asleep in a time capsule for almost ten years. Its 2010, and she is discovered by three girls away on holiday in a secluded resort. Production Date: 1996 Director: Sabage Sukizo Cast: Animated and featuring the voices of Alexa Rae and Trisha Uptown Initial Expectations: NuTechs job on their anime DVDs have normally been lacking, but every now and then Ive found one that was a nice surprise. Im hoping this is one of those, but Im not holding my breath. Initial Reaction: Its pretty fun while retaining much of the darkness normally associated with anime. Who Should Watch It : Anybody whos looking for their first anime feature. Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants an anime feature that feels completely uncensored Audio /Video Quality: The English dubbing is very clear and well balanced. The video is also nicely clear. The animation isnt very developed, and is very similar to most of the Japanese cartoons, like Pokemon that you can find on television currently. The only real problem is that theres a red tint that appears through some of the scenes that doesnt seem natural. [read the full review]

Running Time: 114 min. Director: Akebi Haruno Cast: Anime featuring the voices of Inari Vachs and Tabitha Stevens Initial Expectations: I wasnt quite sure what to expect going into this one, but had some hopes. Initial Reaction: Its a decent series, but the set leaves me feeling ripped off. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who likes anime or is curious about it Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting to watch consensual sex or wants to feel a little value for their buck Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty impressive. The audio is clear and well balanced, as is the video. There arent any great feats of animation here, but for Japanese anime, it looks about as good as Ive seen it. Music: The music is about the same as what you hear on Japanese cartoons today, or at least it sounded about like what I heard in the thirty seconds of Pokemon I once endured. Its nicely balanced with the rest of the audio, and fits the cartoon feel very well. Menus: The menus are animated with the same feel as the movie. [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 25 min. Initial Reaction: Its okay. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting sex on the dark side of things, but that doesnt push things too far Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting all consensual sex The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear, well balanced, and synchs pretty well with the animated video. The video is pretty good. Its crisp and clear, and easily matches up with some of the better anime Ive seen. Music: The music varies in style nicely throughout the feature, which nicely enhances the scenes. Menus: The main menu is long, and almost acts as a trailer for the feature before the selections come up. The chapter menu is pretty standard and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a title for the scene. [read the full review]

review from 7/25/2003:
OK, so in my last review of a Nu-Tech DVD (Custom Slave) I was pretty down on the company based on the shortness of the title (30 minutes). What convinced me of trying another Nu-Tech title, I don't know. Wait a minute, yes I do. A young Cheerleader Captain having to take on her entire squard to keep them happy. Hey, even if that's only 30 minutes, that's good entertainment to me. Unfortunately, i forgot that this was a Japanese title in which most Japanese cheering squads are composed of men. No!!! Now Karen is based on a female character, a nicely drawn volumptuous beauty, but the only girl on a men's cheering squad and it's the men who take advantage of her. That without sex, they quit, and Karen wants to me a good captain, but she's hesitant about the sex. She does it, though, and by the end of the DVD, she enjoys sharing herself with the team. Now, the DVD does redemm itself by having Karen join up with the girl dance team, dressed in far more traditional cheerleading costumes, which Karen and the other girls don't wear for long. Running Time: 57 min. (cover states 45 min.) Production Date: None given Director: None given Cast: Animated Initial Expectations: Anime Fiction 1 didnt overly impress me. Im not expecting much different here. Initial Reaction: The X-Men scene is good, but the rest of the feature is easily skipped. Who Should Watch It : Extreme anime fans who want to see characters they know getting it on Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting the typical darker anime or who isnt familiar with anime Audio /Video Quality: The audio and video are both extremely clear. The animation is decent, but often feels like its just the same loop of animation run over again. Music: The music is a little on the loud side. It ranges from being not much more than the beat of a drum machine and a nice orchestration. Disc Problems: When you go to the extras menu and try to play all of the sequences, the DVD automatically stops at the end of the menu. Menus: The menus arent too bad. [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 28 min. Production Date: 2001 Director: Uncredited Cast: Animated The Short Story Initial Expectations: NuTechs hentai DVDs have almost always left plenty to be desired. Im not expecting too much here. Initial Reaction: Its not horrible, but its far from great as well. Its also a horrible DVD release, with everything associated with the movie on the DVD not even lasting a half hour. Who Should Watch It : Extreme Hentai fans Who Should Avoid It: Anybody whod have to pay for it. The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: You have the choice between English and Japanese audio, along with optional English subtitles. The audio is fairly clear, but the balance is a little off. The music is loud enough to make much of the audio a little difficult to hear. The video is okay. Theres a touch of grain and the animation is pretty basic even for Japanese standards. Music: The music nicely changes moods to fit the feelings in the scenes, but its a little on the loud side. [read the full review]

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting to ease their way into the darker side of anime Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting softer, cartoonish porn The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The audio is nicely dubbed and balanced. The video isnt quite as good. Its a few steps below Pokemon, with frequent black patches covering the screen and, some blurry scenes, and some parts where the animation just seems to stop. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting something different and doesnt mind dark and twisted sex Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants warm and cuddly sex Audio /Video Quality: In an excellent move for anime features, you have several choices on how you want to view the movie. You can watch it in dubbed English, Japanese, or Japanese with English subtitles. This is great since many people first exploring foreign films like to watch them in English, while those who have enjoyed them for longer often prefer the original audio with subtitles.
