The Short Story

Initial Expectations: NuTech’s hentai DVDs have almost always left plenty to be desired. I’m not expecting too much here.

Initial Reaction: It’s not horrible, but it’s far from great as well. It’s also a horrible DVD release, with everything associated with the movie on the DVD not even lasting a half hour.

Who Should Watch It : Extreme Hentai fans

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who’d have to pay for it.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: You have the choice between English and Japanese audio, along with optional English subtitles. The audio is fairly clear, but the balance is a little off. The music is loud enough to make much of the audio a little difficult to hear. The video is okay. There’s a touch of grain and the animation is pretty basic even for Japanese standards.

Music: The music nicely changes moods to fit the feelings in the scenes, but it’s a little on the loud side.

Menus: The main menu is nicely done, and does a good job blending a little animation with some of the movie. The chapter menu is also pretty well done, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a title for the scene.

The Feature

Mija, the horned transexual demon of debauchery is back from the gates of Hell, back to conquer the Earth and bring the dark paradise some desire. Sarah Tadeshina is sent to be a substitute teacher at St. Moses Academy, where a pentagram has appeared on the school grounds, and told to keep her eyes open and a pure soul. Soon after she arrives, young virgin student Mayu is taken by Mija and bewitched.

Scene 1 - Mayu and Mija

After Mija frees Mayu’s lustful side, they kiss passionately. Mayu drops down and sucks Mija while playing with herself until Mija cums all over her. Mayu’s breasts immediately grow and she begs Mija for more. Mija grants her request and fucks her from behind before transporting her home. When she gets home, Mayu can’t do anything but head to her room and masturbate. Even in her classes the next day Mayu can’t resist touching herself.

This is an okay sequence. The sex ties into the story nicely, and although it starts out non-consensual it quickly switches to consensual sex without having to resort to drugs or just forced sex like seems to happen so much with hentai. The segments are short, but they’re all that’s needed.

Scene 2 - Mayu, Mija, Kotaro, and a teacher

When Mayu comes to Mija again, she quickly has her tied up and lifted off the floor as if she’s on a love swing. Mija plays with her ass before breaking her cock out to fuck it, but they’re interrupted by Kotaro. She casts a spell on Kotaro before releasing her spell on Mayu, and then has Kotaro take her on. Before Kotaro can fuck her, a male teacher arrives and knocks him out of the way. The teacher turns into a monster and fucks her until Sara stops them.

This scene didn’t work quite as well for me. It still fits in with the story quite well, but it had to go the completely non-consensual sex way with Mayu crying out to not get fucked through most of the scene. Thankfully this scene didn’t take too long.

Mija: Beautiful Demon is an okay features and a horrible DVD release. Everything about it seems kind of half assed. While other hentai releases I’ve watched took a little time to let things develop and to work in a fair amount of teasing, this one felt rushed and underdeveloped even by porno and cartoon standards. The sex mixes things up okay, but even that seemed to be a little cut short. As for a DVD release, the feature doesn’t even last a half hour and there are more parts to the story. Even though the feature lasts under a half hour, NuTech still demands full price for the DVD. Skip Mija: Beautiful Demon. There’s a lot better anime out there, and the stuff Kitty, Central Park, and other companies put out make NuTech’s release look about as attractive as used toilet paper.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of NuTech’s anime releases can be found online for between about $10 and $22, with most stores offering them near the high end. This might be okay for a full length feature, but everything associated with Mija: Beauitiful Demon on the DVD doesn’t even last a half hour. The movie and technical aspects are below average and the extras suck. If you even consider paying that much for this piece of crap, you shouldn’t be allowed near sharp objects.

Note to NuTech: I haven’t heard much about your anime releases lately. I sure hope you’ve quit putting them out.
