Angels in the Court 2 Review

Initial Expectations: I really enjoyed Angels in the Court 1, so I’m looking forward to this episode as well.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a fun and light adult cartoon

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants cartoons held to the same limitations as regular porn

Audio /Video Quality: The audio and video both appear very good for what the source is like. The animation isn’t that developed, think Pokemon, but there isn’t any noticeable pixelation or remnants to hold it back further.

Music: There’s a little Japanese style music in the background, and it fits cartoons more than it fits porn.

Menus: The main menu is extremely long, but not bad. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a title for the scene.

The Feature: Akira Motoura used to be one of the top volleyball players in Japan. Now he coaches the AOTA Academy girl’s team, and appears to be into it as much for watching the girls as he is for the game instead. He has frequent fantasies about the girls while they’re on the court, and even beds them at night. The coach becomes distracted after he’s attacked by a gang of thieves, and the team is left to take on O-Ring Academy in the championship without their coach and with a series of injuries threatening them.

Coach Motoura starts things out taking on a gang of girls at the local massage parlor. The fuck him every way possible through the night and into the day. Later the Coach takes on Nanase in the locker room, starting soft and moving on to fuck her in a few positions. Finally, the team thanks the coach after the game in a method they’re sure he’ll appreciate.

Although the sex borders on pedophilia, as the girls are implied to be under eighteen but never specifically stated that way, it’s still done with a good and fun spirit. Nobody is ever taken against their will or when they’re not a hundred and ten percent wanting it. There’s also a fair amount of humor put into the sex that makes it a joke as much as anything. It really works well for the spirit of this feature, and was a large part of why Angels in the Court 2 was as enjoyable as it was.

Angels in the Court 2 isn’t going to be for everybody, but for people looking for animated sex that seems cartoonish, it should fit the bill very well. The plot is light and fun, and is helped out by throwing in some of the wild expressions and happenings that can only happen with animation. It continues right into the sex with the wild and outlandish groups and helps the sex to feel just as cartoonish as the plot. The only real complaint I can have about the entire feature is that there aren’t any pop shots for the sex and the sex borders on pedophilia. Other than that, Angels in the Court 2 is a great feature and a lot of fun. It’s just too bad that NuTech doesn’t care enough about their products to give it the treatment their competition would have.

Extras: The extras are exactly the same as on Angels in the Court 1. A photo gallery is included for Shayla, Haven, and the feature itself. Each gallery for the girls lasts about two minutes and a quarter with six seconds per nice looking full screen photo, while the feature gallery lasts about a minute and a half. There’s also weblinks and trailers for most of NuTech’s animated releases.

Overall: Currently, the Angels in the Court DVDs can be found online for between $11 and $22 with most stores offering them for around $15. Although I liked this movie and it has a nice transfer, I’d strongly suggest renting it rather than buying it. At under a half hour, I just can’t justify the cost for what you get here, especially since there aren’t any extras worth mentioning.

Note to NuTech: There’s no reason why this shouldn’t be on the same disc as the first part.
