Initial Expectations: Anime Fiction 1 didn’t overly impress me. I’m not expecting much different here.

Initial Reaction: The X-Men scene is good, but the rest of the feature is easily skipped.

Who Should Watch It : Extreme anime fans who want to see characters they know getting it on

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting the typical darker anime or who isn’t familiar with anime

Audio /Video Quality: The audio and video are both extremely clear. The animation is decent, but often feels like it’s just the same loop of animation run over again.

Music: The music is a little on the loud side. It ranges from being not much more than the beat of a drum machine and a nice orchestration.

Disc Problems: When you go to the extras menu and try to play all of the sequences, the DVD automatically stops at the end of the menu.

Menus: The menus aren’t too bad. The main menu has some decent animation and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature: The Anime Fiction series collects scenes that take well known anime characters and put them together to have sex. There’s no lead-in to any of the scenes, and none of the scenes let you know where the characters come from.

This episode starts out with a guy in armor banging a purple haired chick. He works her through several positions before his blonde haired friend joins in. Later a green haired guy takes his turn as the girl is tied up and suspended from chains. They keep working her over, including making her airtight, before decorating her face.

This scene didn’t do much for me, mostly because of the “camera angles” in the animation. It focuses way too much on close-ups for my tastes and frequently cut the heads off the characters. I couldn’t help but reach for the fast forward button with this scene.

Things switch to the key of X where someone who looks a lot like Rogue interrupts somebody looking a lot like Storm and somebody looking a lot like Wolverine. Storm quickly helps Rogue strip down and goes to work tonguing her from behind while Wolverine watches. Rogue becomes the meat in their sandwich before Storm comes around to help her suck his cock. The girls ride Wolvie’s tongue and cock. He fucks each of the girls on their own before finally popping on Storm’s stomach and letting her suck him clean.

This is a pretty fun scene, but I think copyright issues held it back from being even more fun. There’s no use of any powers here, but the likenesses are very well done. The worst thing about this scene is that the animation loops feel very repetitive, but there’s great interaction between the three characters.

A wish brings two schoolgirls reading a magical book in a library into another realm. One of the girls is abducted again through a painting where a guy rips her clothes off and plays with all her goodies. She sucks him until he pops on her face and then lets him fuck her from behind. They go through a couple more positions before the girl gets her chest decorated.

This is a pretty average scene. It has some of the roughness and a hint of the non-consensual sex that Japanese hentai is often known for, but never gets too uncomfortable. Once again things concentrate a little much on close-ups and panning across the bodies of the characters rather than just showing them, but it still mixes in a few of those clips as well.

An Oriental looking woman gets it on with what looks like a monster or perhaps a vampire in the fourth scene. They fuck in a few common positions without ever showing a pop at the end. Instead of a pop, the colors flash.

This scene did absolutely nothing for me. It was highly repetitive, never showed a full shot of the two beings fucking, and just seemed downright lame. This is a scene for the fast forward button.

Finally, there’s twelve short sex sequences and a moving photo gallery. The short sequences contain fairly familiar characters, although some have been “modified” a bit, and each scene lasts about a minute and a half. The moving photo gallery which lasts about fifteen minutes. It’s a nice photo gallery that’s done very well.

Much like Anime Fiction 1, Anime Fiction 2 is a feature that would be much more enjoyable if you knew what the very similar source-like material was. The X-Men scene is easily the best in the bunch, and not just because I’m familiar with the source characters. It has a sense of fun that the other scenes are missing, and in all honesty is the only scene I really enjoyed. If you’re not a major anime fan you’re probably going to want to skip this one.

Extras: Once again, there are no real extras. It appears that you have two choices, but they just lead you to the short clips and moving photo gallery at the end of the feature. This really ticks me off, and appears deceptive as heck. I’m knocking a full point off the overall rating because of it!

Overall: Currently, most MMG DVDs can be found online for between $13 and $28 with many stores offering them for under $15. Rent this one unless you’re an extreme anime fan, and even then you might want to rent it before shelling out the big bucks. The scenes are okay but very repetitive. The technical aspects are good, but there’s nothing for extras.

Note to MMG: If you’re going to claim to have extras, put them on the DVD. Don’t like to part of the movie! All this does is tick off the consumer and make them pass you by in the future!
