review from 8/27/2004:
The Little Details Running Time: 24 min. Production Date: 1998 Director: Kanazawa Katuma Cast: Animated with voices by Dayton Raines and Miko Lee The Short Story Initial Expectations: I found absolutely nothing redeeming about Desert Island Story X Part 1, so Im not expecting anything here either. Initial Reaction: Its an improvement, but not much of one. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting to be depressed sexually Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting something with an emotion other than hate and fear The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The audio is okay. Its nicely balanced, but some of the dubbed lines feel like theyre just being read off a sheet of paper rather than feeling like theyre the actual voices of the characters. The video leaves a bit to be desired. The animation isnt that developed, think Pokemon, but much of it looks a little fuzzy, almost as if its a soft focus problem. Theres also some that has off-color bars through it. [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 57 min. over 2 DVDs Production Date: 2000 Director: None credited (at least none credited in English) Cast: Animated and featuring the voices of Houston and Kobe Tai The Short Story Initial Expectations: I havent had the best of luck with NuTechs anime releases. Im not really sure what to expect here. Initial Reaction: Its by far the best anime release Ive seen so far. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants an adult story without needing a lot of sex Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants dark and forced sex The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. Most of the audio is nicely clear and well balanced, but theres a few crackles in it that interfered with it for me. The video is much the same way. It has a primitive Pokemon feel, but gets a little shaky at times. Music: The music is nicely balanced with the rest of the audio and keeps the Japanese style working very well. Running Time: 84 min. spread over 3 DVDs Production Date: 2000 Director: Kanazawa Katuma Cast: Animated and featuring the voices of Misty Rain and Tabitha Stevens Initial Expectations: Ive had mixed experiences with NuTechs anime DVDs, so I didnt know what to expect going into this one. Initial Reaction: Its the worst series Ive watched so far. Who Should Watch It : Pedophiles and rapists Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting to watch sex that appears enjoyable Audio /Video Quality: The audio and video both appear very good for what the source is like. The animation isnt that developed, think Pokemon, but there isnt any noticeable pixelation or remnants to hold it back further. Music: The music is soft and has a bit of a sad feeling that fits the feature only too well. Menus: The main menu is nicely animated and gives a good first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a title for the scene. [read the full review]

Sweet Dave's
review from 7/25/2003:
OK, this might be the strangest anime title I've ever seen. The idea of hentai Sailor Moon stories is hardly unusual to anime fans. Heck, I've even written a few lemons myself! And the idea of a "anime world' that includes characters from other anime projects is also a common idea. Thus, as a Sailor Moon fan who still has a Sailor Venus wall scroll hanging on my wall, when I heard of this title, I had to see it. The concept behind Sailor and the 7 Ballz is a common one; Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask are getting married and everyone is coming to the wedding. That means Sailor Mercury comes, and happens to service Tux's organ. Sailor Jupiter and Mars cuddle and couple in their bedroom. Sailor Venus and Goku of DBZ have a rendezvous in an elevator. And the wedding itself turns into a full-on orgy. However, Sailor and the Seven Ballz is animated so poorly that this idea is ruined. In many ways it's more of a pop=up book with movable pages than a real animated movie. [read the full review]

Running Time: 55 min. (cover states 70 min., which is fairly close to a total running time) Production Date: 2000 Director: None given (probably for legal reasons) Cast: Animated Initial Expectations: I really enjoyed Star Ballz, so Im really looking forward to this one. Initial Reaction: Its something thats going to be best enjoyed by people who are familiar with the characters. Its an okay feature, but I was hoping for more humor than straight out sex. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting to see some of their favorite anime characters getting nasty Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for a really funny adult cartoon Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear and as well balanced as almost any other cartoon Ive seen. Most of the audio is in Japanese and subtitled, but there is a little bit of English. The animation, however, is extremely simple, and makes Pokemon look like Toy Story. Music: The music varies a little from scene to scene, but is normally light and cartooney. [read the full review]

review from 1/19/2002:
First, let me start off by saying that this is my first anime title that I have ever seen. Secondly, this is not that great in the action department. Finally, this is a very short DVD in terms of run time. OVERALL : This is basically a cartoon that lasts for under 30 minutes. There are no penetration shots drawn in, throughout the entire run time. There are themes like forced sex, underage girls, and bondage. Voices are in English, done by Asia Carrera and Rayveness. EXTRAS (side A) : Three autoplay photo galleries; one from this film (lasts for about 1 minute), one of Asia Carrera (about 2 minutes), and one of Rayveness (about 1 minute). There is also an interview/ solo action, which lasts for about 11 minutes, of Asia Carrera. (side B) : 13 trailers of other anime titles which lasts from 1 minute to about 2 minutes a piece and website info. FINAL THOUGHTS : I did not care for this title at all, this is my first and only (probably), anime review I do. I didnt find much here that I liked, in fact, I liked almost nothing that was here. review from 3/25/2001:
I must admit that the LA BLUE GIRL series (vols. 1-6) from NuTech Digital is my favorite entry in the genre of "teenage girl ninja sexcraft warriors being raped by penis-tentacled demons" films (a category sadly overlooked at Oscar time each year). LA BLUE GIRL (don't ask me to explain the title because I don't what it has to do with anything - just another one of those stilted Japanese translations I guess) follows the sexual misadventures of Miko Mido (who we are repeatedly told is 18 (wink, wink) (just in case any of you perverts thought that she was an underage ninja "sexcraft" warrior which, of course, would be unacceptable)), a demon/human half-breed ninja of the Miroku clan whose task it is to protect the world from the perverted demons of the Shikima realm and the ninjas of the Suzuka clan who strive to control the Shikima. (And you thought this was gonna be just another goofy anime plot). [read the full review]

Running Time: 44 min. Production Date: 1994 Director: Kanenari Tokiwa Cast: Anime Initial Expectations: After reading reviewers review Im not expecting too much. Initial Reaction: There are some good ideas here, but I think it could have been done differently a lot better (say without the gang rapes). Who Should Watch It : Sci-fi porno fans. Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who enjoys watching completely consensual sex. Audio /Video Quality: It looks and sounds very good. Music: The music has a definite eastern feel to it and matches a lot of the feature. Disc Problems: BEWARE of this DVD! Many of them are missing the English language subtitle. This is okay if you speak Japanese, but I cant say that I know anybody who does. To my knowledge, all of the Imma Youj0 Box Sets contain the defective DVD. Im going to break from my normal rule of not mentioning a specific e-tailer here. I received the Imma Youja Box Set for review and had the bad DVD. [read the full review]

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants to see consensual sex all the time. Audio /Video Quality: Both the audio and video are very good. It looks and sounds as good as Ive ever heard anime. Music: The music has the feel of a lot of anime. It fits the feature very well and adds a lot of emotion to it. Menus: The menus are about the same quality as in Imma Youjo: The Erotic Temptress 1 . Category: cartoon/anime Director: n/a Running time: 85min Date of Production: best guess: sometime between 1960 - 1985 Cast: voices of Keisha, Nikki Charm, Erica Boyer, Paul Thomas Review: Why can't America produce any cartoon porn? Are decent cartoonists that well paid here, as opposed to Denmark, Germany, Spain, and the Lesser Antilles (whatever THAT is), where these were originally done? When exactly they were dubbed in English, I'm not sure, I assume sometime in the 1900's. This is volume 4 of several, but the only one I've seen. It consists of 10 cartoons of varying quality, but all had a washed-out, old look to them. The sound is terrible and you'll need to keep your remote handy to keep adjusting it. There was no main menu, no chapters, and no extras. I suppose if you're into cartoons more than I am, you might enjoy these. I'm not a big fan of Japanese anime - but after seeing this, I might learn to appreciate it more. [read the full review]

Production dates: 1992, 1993 (original Japanese versions); 1995, 1996 (English subtitles, dubbing); 1999 (NuTech release date) Length: 85 min. Extras: English/Japanese language selection, English subtitles, 3-min. educational segment ("About Anime"), 3-min. trailer (clips from the Urotsukidoji I-IV and La Blue Girl series, Twin Angels, Demon Beast Invasion and Adventure Kid). Audio/visual quality: Characters and scenery are generally well-drawn, with visually appealing colors. Animation is somewhat spare; repeat frames occur in a number of places. Movements are alternately choppy (ninja swordplay) and fluid (bouncing breasts). Facial expressions occasionally startle (when the good girls get angry, they show fanged canine teeth). At one point, a creative "camera angle" takes the viewer inside a vagina. The music has an appropriately "cartoonish" sound that fits the plot. [read the full review]

review from 2/15/2000:
My first exposure to anime, La Blue Girl volumes 3 & 4, definitely caught my attention thus begins the quest for more anime. Thankfully, this DVD begins with an intro to anime for newbies like me. The About Anime explains that evolution of the big eyes, blue hair, high-pitched voices and other anime characteristics with an enticing graphical backdrop. Visually the entire disc is a pleasure to view: menus, movies, and trailers. With two stories (volumes) sandwiched between the intro and trailers, you definitely get enough bang for your buck. The bad guys early victory/ good guys save the day plot, made me think I was watching Saturday morning cartoons. The nudity, excessive fluids, masturbation, bondage and sex, however, took me out of that mind frame. Whats really intriguing about the female characters is the contrast of their big eyes, schoolgirl lifestyles and lack of pubic hair with their very, very womanly bodies. [read the full review]

review from 2/17/2000:
Let it be said that I am a huge anime fan. Adult anime, known to genre fans as "hentai" anime have sort of been a genre I never was interested in. I've seen only one hentai title previous to this. The experience proved to be a trying one. There was rarely any "straight sex" as it were. There were demons, nazis, zombies, all raping young(high school aged) women. I was just turned off to the idea. Then I had read glowing reviews of a title called Urotsukidoji: The Legend of the Overfiend. I heard it was considered the best of the hentai genre. So I became a little interested and a two disc set would be soon available. Then I heard it was created by the man who made the first hentai I had seen. Oh boy, was I in for a surprise. And I was, Urotsukidoji is now one of my favorite anime's.As it turns out Urotsukidoji is the name of a series of four films. The first two of which have been broken down to five episodes and spread onto the two discs. [read the full review]
