My first exposure to anime, La Blue Girl volumes 3 & 4, definitely caught my attention – thus begins the quest for more anime. Thankfully, this DVD begins with an intro to anime for newbies like me. The “About Anime” explains that evolution of the big eyes, blue hair, high-pitched voices and other anime characteristics with an enticing graphical backdrop. Visually the entire disc is a pleasure to view: menus, movies, and trailers. With two stories (volumes) sandwiched between the intro and trailers, you definitely get enough bang for your buck.
The bad guys early victory/ good guys save the day plot, made me think I was watching Saturday morning cartoons. The nudity, excessive fluids, masturbation, bondage and sex, however, took me out of that mind frame. What’s really intriguing about the female characters is the contrast of their big eyes, schoolgirl lifestyles and lack of pubic hair with their very, very womanly bodies. Voluptuous innocence is a treasure in x-rated films and overflowing in La Blue Girl.
Even though these ninja girls use sex as their weapon, the movies aren’t dominated by sex. Due to the intermingling of sex and battle, the sex is often a mix of “ecstasy and agony.” The tentacled monsters binding and ‘raping’ the girls occurs in both volumes 3 and 4. And the punishment for traitor ninjas is a barbed club thrust into the vagina. Moreover, the ninja girls need to orgasm like they need to breathe – so sex is treated like any other everyday activity. Yaku, one of the ninjas, turns into a gnarly monster if she doesn’t orgasm during a full moon, which makes for one incredible scene between Miko and her.
What makes the animated sex exciting is the mix of passion and power struggle. One of the most intense scenes in volume 3 is the union between Kugutsumon, the bad guy, and Kamiri, the traitor ninja woman. Their muscles flex with every move, they writhe on the ground and pull each other into the air. You even get a view as if the camera were in her womb so you can watch his manhood thrust in and out of her. Only in animation can you see from the inside out.
If you’re caught in the monotony of the same old pornos, add some anime to your diet. It’s not a bang’em, slap ‘em, cum on the face porn flick. Rather it’s an escape into fantasy - the kind of story you watch from beginning to end. My anime adventure has just begun…
