Initial Expectations: The first two episodes in the series were pretty good and quite different. I’m hoping for more of the same here, although I’d like a little more consensual sex.

Initial Reaction: It’s pretty good and a lot more watcher friendly than its predecessor.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of science fiction, mythology, and porno.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants to see consensual sex all the time.

Audio /Video Quality: Both the audio and video are very good. It looks and sounds as good as I’ve ever heard anime.

Music: The music has the feel of a lot of anime. It fits the feature very well and adds a lot of emotion to it.

Menus: The menus are the best here out of the first three. There’s a nice bit of animation there that isn’t as tiring as in the first two.

The Feature: This time around, Imma Youja: The Erotic Temptress 3 takes a more feudal feel. It’s takes place in a kind of feudal Japan with samurai swords and monsters. Once again Maya is a servant, this time working for Princess Akina. She starts watching the Princess, who she works for, take on one of her men. The Princess catches her watching and pleasures her as well. Once again, the world appears to be at war and this time revolves around warriors Jyurota and Shinbei, the latter of whom looks a little like a Japanese Ed Powers. They used to be on opposite sides but now find themselves as companions as they look for work. When they go to cross a mountain they are warned by an old woman to take another route as a fierce demon lives on the mountain and none have made it across alive. In crossing the mountain Jyurota hears Maya scream as she’s about to be gang raped by bandits. Of course, he doesn’t arrive completely in time, but he does take care of the men with the help of Shinbei.

In return, Maya insists that they stay with her and the Princess for dinner and so she can tend to his wound. Shinbei immediately eyes Princess Akina and points out how Jyurota obviously finds Maya attractive. They each take their respective woman and Maya warns Jyurota that they should both leave the mountain as soon as possible. For Shinbei, it’s too late, as he learns the Princess’s dark secret, but Jyurota might be able to escape. Much of it rests with Maya, but she harbors a dark secret as well that combined with her feeling for Jyurota might be the death of both of them.

Imma Youja: The Immortal Temptress 3 has a surprisingly good story. Yes, the rape scenes are still there, but they seem handled a little better than in the previous episodes. It does blend into the story, as does the sex. If you’re looking for something different, this just might be it if you’re a fan of mythology and porn. Extras: The photo gallery lasts about a minute, but seemed cut off. (In his review, reviewersaid it lasted about two minutes). On the plus side, I thought it looked very good. There’s also company info, a new release website link, and subtitle control.

The second side of the DVD contains trailers for the Cool Devices series, the La Blue Girl series, Twin Angels , and Venus 5 . It’s a nice format. The first screen tells you about the feature and you can choose whether you want to view the trailer or not.

Themes: Straight, voyeurism, lesbian, group, rape, tit-fuck, and demon / human sex

Raincoat Factor: Medium

Overall: Currently, Imma Youjo: The Erotic Temptress 3 can be found online for between $13 and $25 with a few stores offering it for under $15. The story here is very well told and the sex blends with it very well, so I’d recommend it for the price. The transfer appears to be very good but there isn’t much for extras.

Note to NuTech: It’s a decent feature, but it seems short for the price since there’s virtually no extras. It would be a lot better if there was more than one episode per DVD, such as with the La Blue Girl and Cool Devices series.
