Wide Open Spaces (1995), directed by Wesley Emerson, is first-rate first-generation porn. I say first-generation because it looks like the kind of movie youd make if Hollywood were your inspiration rather than other porn films. The story isnt very good, but its serviceable and pleasant and it keeps the movie on track. It is, in other words, an excellent first attempt. I say first-rate because the sex is performed by a cast of cuties who know exactly what theyre doing and how to get their enthusiasm over on screen. Some of the scenes have a couple shadows that seem a little off, but other than that, the lighting is good but slightly dark. She is articulate and concise in her introduction, thus quickly runs out of things to say. The rest of the dvd is devoted to two sex scenes. The main usefulness of the dvd is to soften the idea of domination and submission, and to show it in an unthreatening light. She succeeds in this - the scenes look normal and healthy and should be a friendly introduction for a partner who might be uncertain about the idea. The emphasis here is on mutual pleasure, with no inclusion of discipline or punishment. Very Elegant Girl/Girl Sex and Lots of It! Im always on the lookout for a good girl/girl title. But I approached this video with some trepidation. I had seen its predecessor, the Hottest Pink, and was generally unimpressed. In it, Adam & Even had taken over a dozen scenes and chopped them up horrendously in order to fit within a two-hour format. The result was both storyless and passionless. It was very much like what Vivid (the studio) does with their own girl/girl compilations where they edit the scenes down and usually end up cutting out some of the very best portions.
