"Goin' Down Slow", John Leslie's second directorial effort after "Nightshift Nurses" is a very different kind of adult film. It has a huge emphasis on storyline and style, rather than sex, which at times makes some of the sexual scenarios seem pointless or uninteresting. The plot itself is amazing: Ironic, full of twists and turns, and unpredictable. It is the porn equivalent of a Hitchcock movie. Ona Z plays a lonely woman who likes to watch her neighbor Ellen's (Shanna McCullough) daily trysts with lover George Anton (John Leslie). Ona's in love with George and thinks that he should be hers. Ellen is married to Martin (Robert Bullock), an advice columnist who goes under the name "Madame Rona". George is Martin's boss. Kathleen Gentry plays Martin's secretary and Joey Silvera plays a photography. Later, when a murder is committed, all of these characters come into play. Capsule Review This is an excellent movie. It is beautifully filmed, it stars gorgeous women, the sets and wardrobes are lavish, and the plot barely gets in the way! What else could you ask for? Loosely, the plot revolves around a rich guy who loves to sniff girl's soiled panties. Each scene has a little of this voyeur guy snatching up panties and sniffing them. The plot and acting from the scenes included in this compilation makes me wish that the whole Johnny Wadd series would be rescued from the vaults and re-issued on DVD. I imagine that most of these movies simply no longer exist, which is too bad. A couple of years ago, Bob Chinn tried to re-start the Johnny Wadd series with a different actor. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a market for expensive, plot-driven features with high production values. Running Time : approx. 79 minutes (6 scenes) Review : I'm sorry I have to give a bad review to a Wicked DVD again but this movie was lacklustre in every aspect : The audio is so bad that I mostly wasn't able to hear a single word that was being spoken, the video looks cheap and was on par with the picture on my camcorder, the acting was terrible, extras were barely registered and the sex scenes were mostly boring. Phew.. need I go on ? OK, I picked this one up for Chasey Lain's performance (again, see my raving 'Covergirl' review :) ) knowing that it would probably suck though. Chasey herself is quite the fox in this movie (right, as always) and she seems surprisingly into her scenes this time. Her terrible bolt-ons begin to grate, however.. [read the full review]
