Running time: 1 hr.50 min. D.O.P. 09/2000 Writer/Director: Antonio Passolini Female cast:. Bridget Powerz, Bridgette Kerkove, Keri Windsor, Teri Weigel, Ava Vincent, Bailey, Kiki Daire, Alexandra Nice. Male cast:. Randy Spears, Evan Stone, Marc Davis, Lee Stone, Joel Lawrence, Bobby Vitale, Cheyne Collins, Pat Myne, and Simon Delo as Capt. Mongo General comments: This movie rocks! Although some parts were kind of corny, overall it's very entertaining, with enough hot sex to keep all but the most hardened pornhounds happy. Though there was really nothing new or surprising as far as the sex went (although I don't believe I've ever seen a clown in a 3-way), the high energy and enthusiasm alone was enough to make it enjoyable. Everyone seemed to be having a good time here. The audio was perfect, with good background music, and clear vocals. [read the full review]

Running Time: 111 min. (studio cut), 117 min (phat cut) Production Date: Sept. 2000 Director: Antonio Passolini Cast: Teri Weigel, Simon Delo, Evan Stone, Bridget Powerz, Bailey, Alexandra Nice, Bridgette Kerkove, Ava Vincent, Kiki Daire, Keri Windsor, Lee Stone, Pat Myne, Bobby Vitale, Randy Spears, Joel Lawrence, Cheyne Collins, and Mark Davis Initial Expectations: I think Antonio Passolini is one of the most talented directors making movies right now in both the adult and mainstream fields. Its impossible for me to not have extremely high hopes. Initial Reaction: Its Passolinis most friendly feature for most viewers, but that doesnt take any of the quality away from it. Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for something slightly different but extremely well done, hot, and fun Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants lame sex or unenjoyable fast forward fodder Audio /Video Quality: The audio and video are both excellent. The audio is very clear and well balanced. [read the full review]

M, played by Serenity, becomes the number one in Nasty Pictures porn studio and demands much higher than the appropriate level of attention. The entire movie is shot as a documentary of several days of her life from the peak of her career to her fall into the hands of mental hospital personnel. [read the full review]

Although it is unfortunate that both films have been cut and the picture quality in the first one is questionable, these are still two very well done films. If you are a fan of the classics, of either of these films, of school girl or summer camp themed movies you probably want to pick this disc up since this is probably the best treatment these films are going to get on DVD and since the packaging states that they are limited editions. Otherwise, I would avoid this title. [read the full review]

This is the best interactive dvd I have seen so far. I put it on par with Chasing Stacy and My Plaything Tera Patrick and Jewel De'Nyle. It really helps if you like the star of the dvd who in this case is Juli Ashton and let me say that I DO. The dvd starts out with an awesome lesbian scene with Juli and Charlie Angel. These two ladies are a treat to look at and obviously were into each other from the start kissing and touching each other and the sex was top notch with a lot of oral play for each girl. Juli takes a toy up her ass with much joy and Charlie took a toy in the pussy for what seemed like a hour. This first scene went on for a long time and I didn't reach for the remote once. The only drawback for me in the entire dvd was the second scene which featured Shawna Sexton who is quite good but she was paired with Ron Jeremy. Bless his heart he gets to make love with some really pretty ladies but do we have to look at him naked. [read the full review]

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the production of "The Opening of Misty Beethoven", the 1970's adult film classic from director Radley Metzger and VCA. Starring Constance Money as a young prostitute whom the late Jamie Gillis chances upon while plying her trade in a Parisian theater, this flick traces her journey from an erotically uninspired bore to a talk-of-the-town, world-class sexpot. Indeed, under Gillis' tutelage and with his wealthy friend's (Jacqueline Beudant's) fortune, Money transforms from a hapless, young harlot unwilling to suck a dick to a seasoned pro, capable of pleasuring a group of men, turning homosexuals with her charms, and ultimately seducing the most powerful name in men's publishing and his mistress (Gloria Leonard). What do you get when you mix Metzer, a classic play, two very hot actors, and a relatively big budget? You get the best porno movie ever made. Unfortunately, that's not saying very much since most porn movies are extremely bad and being the best of the worst isn't exactly a very good accomplishment. The largest problem with this movie is that the plot was razor thin and extremely fragmented. The flow of the story was continuously interrupted by needless scenes of blowjobs. (Way too many blowjobs in my opinion. Metzer is way too obsessed with blowjobs. The ratio of blowjobs to vaginal sex was something like 10 to 1.) He also liked to add in ridiculous dialogue to the ends of good scenes. I suppose his intention was to break the tension of sexual arousal with some comedy. (Mainstream movies do this all the time like when they add a comedy bit to an action sequence.) This device did not work for this movie because it ended up coming across as being stupid rather than funny which is funny since the play that this movie is based on is actually funny all the way through. NOTE: This is not your typical review. Others have done an excellent job reviewing the content, scenes, performances, etc. of this porn classic. This "review" concerns itself with how the DVD's contents compare with the complete, uncut original release version of the film or an early (before prior self-censorship) VHS version. The Ratings given refer either to the "original" version of the film (Performers, Plot, Sex, etc.) or to the DVD version (Extras, Value, etc.) and are relatively arbitrary. The important info is that which follows. MISTY (ALMOST) INTACT! To paraphrase one of Jamie Gillis lines in the movie, Theyve left alone Misty Beethoven! Theyve left alone Misty Beethoven! After side-by-side, shot-by-shot comparison of the new DVD version of the Henry Paris (Radley Metzger) classic with an old video that appears to have been made from an original release print of the film, only two short shots and the end title appear to be missing from the new DVD. Running Time: 83 min. Production Date: 06 Feb. 2000 Director: Jonathan Morgan Cast: Alexa (Rae), Temptress, Bridgette Kerkove, Kaylynn, Olivia, Tasha Hunter, Jonathan Morgan, Brad Armstrong, Byron Long, Guy DiSilva, Dick Tracy, and Anthony Crane Initial Expectations: With movies like Double Feature! and Sex, Lies, and the President its almost impossible to not like Jonathan Morgan. He always seems to put a smile on my face lately, or at least his movies do. I have no reason but to expect another extremely funny movie with great sex. Wicked normally does a great job on their transfers and extras, so Porn-o-matic 2000 should get a very good treatment. Initial Reaction: Pretty typical Jonathan Morgan stuff, so its a lot of really funny stuff thats done well in addition to the great sex. Audio /Video Quality: Excellent. This is nothing new for Wicked, who puts out some of the best transfers out there on their new titles. Music: Theres a wide range of music and it fits the scenes well. [read the full review]

Running Time: 75 min. Production Date: 6 / 21 / 1994 Director: Fred Lincoln Cast: Kylie Ireland, Jenna Jameson, Eva Tiffany, Kim Chambers, Nick East, Jonathan Morgan, and Gerry Pike Initial Expectations: The only other Sin City DVD Ive seen is Babewatch, which left much to be desired. Although I have hopes for the movie, I dont expect much of a DVD. Initial Reaction: Its kind of fun but nothing special. Audio /Video Quality: I dont think anything has been done since the original VHS release as the video quality is VHS quality at best. The audio synchs pretty well but a lot of the dialogue is kind of hard to understand. Music: The music is your typical porno music. Its way too loud for many of the scenes. Disc Problems: Once again, Sin City has no time code on the movie. Sin City also seems to think that its a good idea to have mandatory phone sex ads and a mandatory commercial for their web site before the main menu. Review: Wow. My 100th review. I have to admit that I never really thought Id get this far. [read the full review]

"A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" I really did love the first "Double Feature". I thought it was hilarious, creative, and actually pretty hot. I didn't like "Bride of Double Feature" as much. Since this is a porno, I'll start with an overview of the sex scenes. There actually is a good amount of sex in this film, with a little variety here and there. The sex actually was lacking a lot of heat at times. The stand out scenes had to be the threesome with Mickey G., Tabitha Stevens, and the Pizza Girl. There was a good amount of heat, and both women look very good, with a nice touch of diversity since the Pizza Girl had a more natural body, and darker hair, and Tabitha was more your typical blonde porn star. Also, you can tell that Tabitha is enjoying herself. Also, the orgy scene at the end of the movie had some pretty decent heat, and had a little more than the vanilla sex in "Double Feature". Now, I was a little shocked to see Anthony Crane participate in this scene, but I noticed something. [read the full review]

Due to the video problems if you are a fan of the film or it sounds like a good movie to you, you probably want to wait and hope that a better version of it gets released in the future. As this is a limited edition release it will eventually leave the market and anther company may re-release a better print of it. If you are still considering purchasing it, I suggest that you rent it first so you can see how bad the video problems are before you purchase so you don't end up disappointed. [read the full review]

"A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" I have to say, I think "Double Feature" is one of the few pornos that could actually have a chance in the mainstream. This movie works very well as a comedy, and yet still has some very well done, although not always all that daring, sex. Movie Content: Other reviews have gone through this movie scene by scene, so I'll just do a general overview. The first feature that we see is a Sci-Fi spoof, with three female aliens coming down, and turning the men of earth in to sex slaves. This is the better of the two featured stories when it comes to comedy, but the weaker of the two when it comes to sex. There are really no stand out sex scenes in this section, although the scene with Jewel D'nyle and Herschal Savage is fairly hot, and you can tell that both of them are in to it. The rest of the scenes are fairly vanilla. Although there are two group scenes in this part, both of them fall a little flat. The first group scene has two of the aliens take on two hicks (aliens always go for hicks). [read the full review]

Let My Puppets Come (Caballero) review summaries:
Flash's
Let My Puppets Come is a real oddity in the world of adult film being the first, and only, adult puppet musical movie. The film is an adult puppet show that lampoons the adult film industry, with well-made puppets, extensive musical numbers, and a good heaping of low-brow humor. Let My Puppets Come isn't going to be for everyone in fact, the viewers that will genuinely enjoy the film will be in the minority. For the right viewer, though, Let My Puppets Come is a fun film. Caballero has done a poor job with their DVD release of the film with a low-quality picture and even lower quality sound and a version that is missing 35 minutes of the film. [read the full review]

Running length: 60 min. D.O.P. I couldn't find one, but Al Goldstein is sportin' an afro, if that helps. Writer/Director: Gerard Damiano Female cast: Lynette Sheldon Penny Nichols Male cast Al Goldstein Audio/Video: For as old as it is, which I'm not sure of, it's not bad. There were parts with some piano music, which fit pretty well. Extras: Just a few photos. General comments: I was curious about this one because it featured puppets, and was the only one of its kind. I had heard some disturbing comments about it, but I can't imagine what it was that bothered people about this movie. I thought it was kinda cute. But then, I'm not 100 certain that I'm not some kinda pervert, because this is listed in the 'Fetish' category, too, so there could be something here that I'm missing. Sure, there was the part about about the dog fucking his mistress, but they're dang puppets, for christssakes! It was one of the funniest parts, too, with the dog as a real smooth talker who gets into her shorts. [read the full review]

Synopsis This 1983 Henri Pachard classic is a wholesome romp. Raincoaters can pass it by unless they are just in the mood for a little fun. The quirky humor, goofy music, and nostalgic feel of Sexcapades may please people who enjoy the feel of Pink Panther movies. The plot involves a director attempting to make a porn film. Scene 1 Joanna Storm and Alan Adrian perform a fumbling audition for two bored porn producers. Her earnest but misdirected enthusiasm is a real hoot. At one point she stops the sex to put socks under her knees to prevent rug-burn. Peter Meter = zero Scene 2 Sharon Mitchell plays a sexually clueless wife in a fluffy, unsexy nightie. Her alternately prudish and giggling responses to husband Eric Edwards will leave you feeling smug. She throws in a few moans for his inexpert cunnilingus. Peter Meter = zero Scene 3 Cartoonish music accompanies this goofy sex scene between Ashley Wells and Michael Bruce. [read the full review]

Normally comedy in porn means acting so bad it's laughable. Not so in this wonderful film. Blue Movie is not only a parody on porn itself, but also makes amusing references to mainstream movies. Remember the briefcase in Pulp Fiction, which if I remember correctly was also in Kiss of the Spider Woman? Well, Blue Movie has a clamshell that emits that same dangerous light. Men melt into nothingness if they look into the clamshell that deviously whispers "Pussy Power. Pussy Power." I'm slapping my knee just writing about it.Stephen St. Croix's quarky role as cross-dressing director makes the movie. He stays in character even during sex scenes. And best of all he wears a chiquita banana fruit hat around the set one day.I know you're waiting for me to start talking about Jenna. But the Jenna look just isn't my style. And the blue ball - what's with the blue ball? I must be shallow 'cause I have no idea.Michael Zen made one heck of a masterpiece here. I'd give it a five if the sex were as extraordinary as the movie. The sex is good just not as phenomenal as the movie.Blue Movie is porn with wit. [read the full review]

For when this DVD was released, this was a good edition, the extras are lacking but the transfer looks nice. Arrow has now released a more complete version without the cuts and with some extras which is a much better buy but is harder to find. Viewers who are just interested in seeing what all the talk was about are better off renting the title first as if they are used to the films of today, they are bound to be disappointed. Deep Throat is perhaps the most famous porn film of all time. It is certainly a good movie, but certainly not one of the best. It isn't in the same class as films such as The Opening of Misty Beethoven or The Devil In Miss Jones. I found the soundtrack to the movie, which was original music, to be quite fitting and to give the movie a nice feeling. The title track especially is a catchy tune, "don't row a boat, don't get your goat, that's all she wrote, deep throat" it does stick in your head. The plot to the movie what there is of one is that Linda Lovelace isn't enjoying sex as much as she'd like, so she and her friend throw an orgy, this doesn't get Linda's bell's ringing though so Linda's friend talks Linda into seeing a Doctor played by Harry Reems. He discovers that her clitoris is in her throat, and encourages her to learn the art of deep throat starting right there with him. This really gets her bells ringing. [read the full review]

I loved the plot and the acting in the mob-themed Paul Thomas picture. Vince Vouyer and Alexandra Silk were especially convincing with their New Jersey accents, but everyone seemed to be trying to stay in character. Unfortunately, the forces of evil at Vivid cut this film to ribbons before releasing it on DVD. The film was originally 131 minutes on VHS, and the DVD runs 84 minutes. You don't need to be a math major to see that more than 45 minutes have been cut from the movie, including two entire scenes. It really should be callled outtakes from "Mobster's Wife." On the flipside, there are two versions of a behind the scenes featurette, together totalling almost an hour, but in no way does the behind the scenes featurette compensate for not having the entire film on DVD. For some unknown reason, the people at Vivid cut up all of th 1990s Paul Thomas features before releasing them on DVD. I don't know which is worse, not getting the whole movie or knowing what enormous contempt the people at Vivid have for me (and you), their customer. But they are the contemptible ones. Mobsters' Wife is an average couples film with a gangster theme, it's nothing spectacular but fans of couples style films probably won't be disappointed. It's too bad that it appears that Vivid cut this film to be able to fit on all the special features, the only one of which that is worth the space is the Behind the Scenes feature. This film is not for people who don't like plot based or couples friendly adult entertainment. [read the full review]

"Nightshift Nurses", the directorial debut of perhaps the best actor to ever work in adult, John Leslie, not only is a scorcher when it comes to the sex, but also makes great use of comedy, blues music, and filmmaking styles that Leslie would later use in the "Chameleon" and "Catwoman" movies. The film takes place during one night in a hospital. Lois Ayres plays the senior nurse who heads the other nurses, played by Bionca, Keisha, Sheena Horne, and Lynn Francis. John Leslie plays Dr. Grow, an insomniac who hates his job and would really like to be a professional harmonica player. Joey Silvera is an everyman who goes by the name of Idaho Moe and in his spare time pretends that he's a doctor. Peter North, Josey Duval, and D.J. Cone play various patients and Siobhan Hunter is a "sister" who is waiting for her brother to come out of surgery. One more character worth mentioning would be the black janitor, played by Steve Hennessy. While mopping a hallway, he overhears moans and goes into the room to investigate. [read the full review]

Here is another porn film that follows the time-honored convention of parodying a mainstream movie or television show. Shot on a soundstage in San Francisco in 1982, the movie has the look and feel of the hit seventies and early 80s TV show, M*A*S*H. In fact, the overhead footage at the beginning of the film is the same outdoor set built for the mainstream show. Paul Thomas plays the Hawkeye character, called Jaybird, and Joey Silvera plays the Radar character. The female lead, hot hips Henderson, is played by Jessie St. James, who looks remarkably like hot lips Hoolihan. St. James does a remarkable acting job, and even seems to have some of Loretta Swits style and mannerisms. Unfortunately, this films close similarity to the show it is parodying is about the only thing it has going for it. The sex scenes are brief, a couple of them lack money shots, the women are average in the looks department, and the script is lame. [read the full review]

The Plot: Okay, I have to hand it to Vivid. Rarely, if ever, do they produce a movie that doesn't have a plot. Or at least a semblance of a plot. Okay, maybe a hint of a plot. True, the plot's don't always make sense, but you at least get some motivation behind why Actress A is working her way through Actors B, C, D and the sheep in the corner. Our plot today revolves around a fictitious show similar to Late Night with Old Comedian that you may watch yourself. We start with Steven St. Croix, playing himself, having a lot of fun with Alexa, a waitress he picked up in a bar. After having very intimate relations, Stevie discovers that the new-age bit of fluff that he brought home last night has been talking to her crystals too long. See, she and Steven have only just met last night... in this life. Ah, their souls are immortal and they have been meant for each other since time began. And if Steven doesn't like that arrangement, she'll just have to kill him and wait until the next time they meet up again. Okay. [read the full review]

Running Time: 88 min. Production Date: March 19 - 20, 1988 Director: Francois Clousot Cast: Felicia, Taylor Moore, Sana Fey, Tina Tyler, LeeAnna Heart, Tye, Amber, Marc Davis, Vince Voyeur, Tom Byron, Ian Daniels, and Jonathan Morgan Extras: Behind the Scenes (32 min.), slide show, bios, outtakes, trailers, and web access. The bios are pretty standard, but the behind the scenes are a lot of fun. There are two scenes that we get to see the inner workings of: the final scene between Jonathan, Tina, and LeeAnna and the threesome between Vince, Ian, and Taylor. The behind the scenes of Vince, Ian, and Taylor's scene didn't really add too much for me, but the Jonathan, Tina, and LeeAnna's behind the scenes was great. It does a great job of showing the cast as real people and how much fun everybody was having on the set. Audio Quality: Good. Most of the movie is excellent, but the scenes where the spies check in with the 'Evil One' are bad. Video Quality: Very good. Music: Acoustic and, dare I say, tender. [read the full review]

Okay, picture this in your mind: You are a porn director. You have until noon tomorrow to come up with the script you will be using to shoot your next film. It is now 10 PM. You haven't started writing yet, but you have finished your third can of Jolt cola. As a last-ditch effort to inspire the creative juices, you bring out the big guns: You make a pot of coffee strong enough to bench press a Doberman and use it to wash down a couple Vivarin. Your fingers vibrating at roughly two times the speed of sound, you manage to watch Ace Ventura: Pet Detective with your finger firmly on the fast forward button. And you are so wired that you understand every word in the zip-squeal of sound coming from your protesting speakers. Having done your research, you begin to write... This humble scenario must have been the inspiration behind the plot for Thai Me Up. [read the full review]

This is a nice journey down porno memory lane. The story is light and fun and there's solid production values for the movie, but the sex is pretty average. The technical aspects are average at best, and there's no real effort put into the extras. This is a fun little fuck flick that's worth a rental if it piques your interest. [read the full review]

With one of their bosses as a predatory a-hole (Herschel Savage) and the other a heartless, selfish bitch (Juliet Anderson), Annette Haven and the girls of the Osborne Insurance Office take matters into their own hands. Such is the case in "8 to 4", a very good adult takeoff on the 1980 mainstream flick featuring Dolly Parton and company, "9 to 5". [read the full review]

Films like this built the reputation of the "golden age" of adult, i.e., the years 1975 through 1982. This 1981 film is, of course, a spoof on the 1980 mainstream film "9 to 5" that starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman. In the adult version their parts are play by Loni Sanders, Annette Haven, Lisa DeLeew, and Herschel Savage. There's even a very nice theme song take-off on the famous Dolly Parton song that went with the mainstream movie. Plot and acting are superior to most seen today, and the sex scenes not only fit the plot, they advance the plot. Although the sex is by today's standards strictly couples fare, this is still a very hot movie and well worthwhile. Technically the disc is quite good, although the reverse angle gimmick was simply annoying. The video quality and audio are very good, given the age of the source material. [read the full review]

Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for a really fun adult feature Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who just wants down and dirty nasty fucking Audio /Video Quality: The audio is a little off balance and hard to hear at times, but isnt any worse than the average porno. Flash's
Flesh Gordon is a softcore parody of Flash Gordon, which combines the right level of camp, cheesy special effects, and ambition behind it to be a fun film, even though the originally conceived hardcore version was never to be. Fans of hardcore films from the 70s should find a lot of fun here, while also trying to find the blue screen actors and actresses from the era in the film hiding in the remaining close to hardcore footage. The DVD release from Hen's Tooth Video is better than previous home video releases but falls short of being a definitive release of the film. [read the full review]
