Review brief: I Want Your Love has been released by NakedSword through their NakedSword Film Works (NSFW) division that was launched in 2016 to exhibit gay independent movies that aren't exactly pornographic yet aren't exactly mainstream. I Want Your Love is a feature hardcore gay movie based on the 2010 short movie of the same name. I Want Your Love is slow and drawn out and never really goes anywhere. It is hard to recommend I Want Your Love to any viewer. NakedSword Film Works has done a great job with their streaming only release of I Want Your Love with great audio and beautiful video quality.

Review brief: This one boasts a top notch cast with Alanah Rae, Julia Ann, Kirsten Price, Krissy Lynn, McKenzie Lee, Mia Lelani, Summer Brielle, and Tasha Reign. Unfortunately the action is very hit or miss, the overall release is short, the technical aspects are pretty average, and there's no real effort put into the extras. Go extra cheap on this one or just pass it by.

Review brief: MXXX: The Hardest Ride is a gay feature movie from mr. Pam. The concept behind the movie is good, however, the plot as it is presented is a complete mess and the movie doesn't even feel like it ended when all is said and done. The sex scenes are hard to rate since this reviewer is straight but for fans of feature movies, MXXX: The Hardest Ride is bound to be a letdown. NakedSword has done a great job with their streaming only release of MXXX: The Hardest Ride on NakedSword with beautiful audio and video quality.

Reviewed on: 6/18/2017 by Flash

Starring: Jim Cassidy, Agenor Aguiar, Glauco Amorin, Jame Leoni, Rafael Tavioli
Studio: ARI
Directed by: Sebastian Figg

Review brief: Desires of the Devil is an early gay hardcore (kind of) feature (kind of) film. The film tries for a horror type of plot but manages to fail at that and really fail as far as the plot goes in general. The sex scenes are also partially softcore as well making the intended audience for the film a question. Desires of the Devil isn't really worth watching at all. ARI Productions has done an acceptable job with their DVD release of Desires of the Devil with decent video quality but poor audio quality.

Reviewed on: 5/27/2017 by Flash

Starring: Jim Frost, Sandi Carey, Ric Lutze, Norman Fields
Studio: Vinegar Syndrome

Review brief: The Midnight Hustler is an overall ugly film from an anonymous director. Sadly, The Midnight Hustler just serves as an example of how cheap and slimy adult films could be in the 1970s. The plot is essentially non-existent and many of the sets are plain lacking. The sex scenes aren't overly well-done. The Midnight Hustler is an easy film to skip. The quality of the film itself aside, Vinegar Syndrome has done a good job with their streaming only version of The Midnight Hustler on Exploitation.TV. Their print is beaten up and there are some issues that go back to the production but Vinegar Syndrome has made what they had to work with look good.

Review brief: Hot Summer in the City is a blacksploitation roughie from Harry Mohney that despite a few clever portions isn't really worth watching. The film suffers from aborted subplots, poor character development, and poor filming and editing. The negative aspects within Hot Summer in the City, unfortunately, outweigh the positive aspects. Alpha Blue Archives has done a poor job with their DVD release of Hot Summer in the City with poor video and audio quality.

Starring: Leo, Tina Davis, Shay Fox, Elaina Raye, Chris Cock, Serena Ali, Mona Wales
Studio: TarantinoXXX
Directed by: Adam Christopher

Review brief: Porn Fiction, formerly titled Pulp Fiction XXX, is a jumble of sex scenes based on the Quentin Tarantino universe, not just Pulp Fiction, and non-sexual scenes that are ripped straight out of Tarantino's films usually line-for-line. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and given Tarantino XXX's current adult nom de plum, this reviewer does believe that Porn Fiction was made out of flattery and not just to rip-off the work of Quentin Tarantino. However, in the end, Porn Fiction ends up looking and feeling like a cheaply done pilfer of Tarantino's volume of work that never has a sense of cohesion. Tarantino XXX has provided good quality video for their release of Porn Fiction but the audio has some issues.

Review brief: Zachary Strong attempted to do something new and original with Visions of Clair. However, the end result is sadly an incoherent mess. The story goes all over the place and doesn't ever make sense of itself and the majority of the sex scenes are shot and edited in a way that makes them completely inaccessible. Visions of Clair is an easy film to skip. Cal Vista has done an acceptable job with their release with a watchable picture and listenable audio but not much more.

Review brief: Scorpion is a disappointing bondage feature movie from California Star. Despite what sounds like an intriguing plot, the plot is quickly dismissed for the bondage scenes which will frustrate fans of feature adult movies. The bondage scenes present here are standard fare for the period. Add into the mix the low production values and cheap nature of the movie and you have Scorpion. Both High School Fantasies and Beach Blanket Bango are enjoyable films that complement each other well on this release. Review brief: Bi Cycling is a shot on video movie from the late 80s and masquerades as a feature movie for viewers that like bisexual adult movies. There is no real plot to speak of within the movie or at least none worth speaking of. The sex scenes are quickly done with no standout performances and some awkward positioning. Neither the sex scenes nor the plot makes this movie worth picking up. There are some issues with Bacchus' release of this title as well.

Review brief: Debbie Does Dallas 4 has no connection with any of the previous entries within the Debbie Does Dallas series nor is there any real reason for it to carry the name of the series. Debbie Does Dallas 4 is your standard poorly and quickly made shot on video adult movie that was churned out heavily in the mid-to-late 80s. The plot is barely worth mentioning. The sex scenes are all cookie cutter and one could stand in for the next. The budget is almost non-existent. Review brief: The Newcomers is a bad adult movie from the mid-1980s. The plot is a complete loss. While the movie pretends to have a plot there was no real effort to have the plot mean anything. The sex scenes are poor. Some of the sex scenes could have been decent, however, video wipes and other video effects are used liberally throughout the movie ruining any heat that the sex scenes might have contained. VCX hasn't done a horrible job with this release but they didn't do an amazing job either.

Review brief: The 70s brought us some great new takes on classic fairy tales turning them into erotic romps but Serena: An Erotic Fairy Tale was not one of these. Instead, this film went the route of being a quickly churned out film to capitalize on the name of the main star Serena. This release from Mr. FAT-W Video contains only the softcore version of the film and the disc itself is poor as well with a subpar video presentation and poor audio. Review brief: Camp Beaverlake: The Movie is a great example of everything that went wrong in the video tape era. Camp Beaverlake: The Movie is an early shot on video movie that has already tossed away everything from when adult films were shot on film. There is no real plot and much of what of present appears to be improvised.
