Initial Expectations: The Brookland Brothers haven’t done much to impress me so far. I’m hoping that since this is one of their later releases that they’ll have improved some.

Initial Reaction: It’s another swing and a miss from the Brookland Brothers.

Who Should Watch It : Amateur porn fans without much money

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants full sex scenes or decent technical aspects

Audio /Video Quality: The audio basically sucks. No, it’s often clear, but it’s rare for the audio to be from the actual scenes in the movie. You rarely hear the girl in the solo scenes, and even the vibrator noises are obviously dubbed there. Unfortunately, when there’s real audio there’s nothing edited out so you hear things like the cameraman asking the performers to look at them before you see a flash of the still camera and the crew talking between each other. . The video, however, is surprisingly good even when one doesn’t consider how horribly done the audio is. It’s normally well lit and shows hardly any grain, but there are a few soft focus problems.

Music: The music is pretty much the only audio in the feature, and ranges from a decent rock beat to the stuff they use in doctors offices as an anaesthetic.

Disc Problems / Complaints: There’s no time stamp! I frequently like to jump around in movies or go to specific places in the feature, but without a time stamp, which as I understand it takes next to no effort to include on a DVD, I can’t. The lack of a time stamp always makes a DVD feel a little half-assed to me.

Menus: The main menu is a kind of glorified chapter menu. It lets you choose whether to watch a specific girl or all of them. If you select a girl, you have the choice on what you want to see of them, such as panty peeks, stripping, masturbations, or actual sex.

The Feature: The Brookland Brothers’ Casting Couch mixes together several types of scenes for amateur action. There’s masturbation, voyeurism, strip teases, and even a little sex. The scenes don’t have any lead-in to them, and nicely move along.

Akane, a cute girl with a realistic body and her brunette hair dyed partially red, starts things off. After her three panty peeks from Pacific Northwest Amateurs: Panty Peeks 1, she moves onto stripping. I can’t help but notice how well she shows the difference between ‘stripping’ and a ‘strip tease’ in her first try. Akane looks like she’s having fun, but she just flails her arms around a bit like a white guy trying to dance while occasionally removing her clothes. She’s much better the second time, or maybe what I was drinking started to kick in right. I never thought mint green tea could do that, but I hear brownies can do things you don’t expect too. After stripping down, showering, and changing, Akane lays back on the bed to play with herself a little. Finally, she gets around to taking on a couple guys who are starting to think of Turtle Wax as a hair care product. They move around to nicely warm each other up orally before going through most of the positions. She finally sucks one guy off onto her face. The other had wood problems to the point that he finally just kneeled on the edge of the bed and watched, not even letting Akane touch him. It’s not much of a scene, mostly due to the guys not being able to maintain wood. Akane really gets into the scene, so I can only blame the guys and kinda chuckle about all the guys out there who think any guy can be a porn star.

Delias, a cute brunette, is next. She starts off reading a book, playing with the top of her stocking, and finally opening up her dress to reveal a perky pair of pierced nipples. She softly plays with herself and licks her nipples with her pierced tongue, gradually getting herself worked up. It’s a bit long and drawn out, but she looks to have so much fun and is so cute that it’s hard not to like it.

Next, Delias takes on the same two guys as were with Akane, who I’m guessing are some of the Brookland Brothers. She looks thrilled to have two guys to herself, and quickly moves her hands and mouth around to warm them up. Unfortunately, that’s as much as ever happens. There’s no fucking and not even a pop shot at the end! Delias is more than hot, and although she looked to be having a great time here, the scene itself is a complete disappointment.

Finally, Oriental Debra gets busy with a guy. They exchange oral favors before Debra rides him cowgirl style. She finally hops off to let him pop near her pussy. It’s an average at best scene that had next to nothing for chemistry. It’s also hurt by the camera work, which never lets you see Debra’s reaction while she’s getting fucked. You either see the penetration or you see her. Debra doesn’t come close to ending the movie on a high note.

The Brookland Brother’s Casting Couch 5 flops about as bad as the rest of what I’ve seen from them. The editing on the scenes suck, and normally gives you either no real audio or listening to the crew. The scenes seem poorly put together, aren’t always that sexy, and you’ve probably already seen them if you’ve watched any of the other Brookland Brothers movies with these girls in it. It’s really too bad, since both Akane and Delias do a great job in their scenes. Granted, the guys they’re paired with don’t do much, but the girls themselves are cute and look to really enjoy themselves. Delias’ opening scene is easily the highlight of the feature, which might be due partially to not having to watch her work with any of the guys. Casting Couch 5 has its moments, but they’re few, far between, and not too close to perfect.

Overall: Currently, most of the DVDs from the Brookland Brothers can be found online for $10. This seems like the upper end of what I’d pay for this one. The sex is completely hit or miss, the transfer has some major problems, and there aren’t any extras.

Note to Brookland Brothers: You’ve got a lot of work to do here, despite having girls who look to enjoy themselves. Start with a time stamp. Add a few extras (it shouldn’t be too hard since most of this feature looks to be recycled from your other features). Learn to edit out background noises. You had potential here, you just need to learn how to use it.
