Review brief: The Little Details Running Time: 24 min. Production Date: 1998 Director: Kanazawa Katuma Cast: Animated with voices by Dayton Raines and Miko Lee The Short Story Initial Expectations: I found absolutely nothing redeeming about Desert Island Story X Part 1, so Im not expecting anything here either. Initial Reaction: Its an improvement, but not much of one. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting to be depressed sexually Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting something with an emotion other than hate and fear The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The audio is okay. Its nicely balanced, but some of the dubbed lines feel like theyre just being read off a sheet of paper rather than feeling like theyre the actual voices of the characters. The video leaves a bit to be desired. The animation isnt that developed, think Pokemon, but much of it looks a little fuzzy, almost as if its a soft focus problem. Theres also some that has off-color bars through it.

Im really not sure what to expect here. Initial Reaction: Its easily skipped Who Should Watch It : Pedophiles Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting to watch sex that appears enjoyable Audio /Video Quality: The audio and video both appear very good for what the source is like. The animation isnt that developed, think Pokemon, but there isnt any noticeable pixelation or remnants to hold it back further. Music: The music is soft and has a bit of a sad feeling that fits the feature only too well. Menus: The main menu is nicely animated and gives a good first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a title for the scene. The Feature: Mr. Miyaki is the track coach at the school where Ayas sister teaches.

Im not quite sure what to expect. Initial Reaction: The sex is okay, but the technical aspects hold it back tremendously. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who looks for big boobs first and everything else second and who likes to be teased Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a lot of lesbian action or naturally big boobs The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The only audio is the music. The video has a soft and slightly grainy look, but helps a lot with the artistic feel of the movie. Its well lit, and sometimes even over lit depending on the effect wanted. Theres some bad pixelation during some parts of the feature, as well as a flickering effect which was bad enough to start giving me a headache during the movie.

The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The audio leaves a bit to be desired. Its pretty clear, but the TV thats playing in the room is as loud as the performers some of the time. Thankfully there arent many background noises. The video is also a bit weak. The lighting is slightly uneven and theres some very noticeable grain. Theres also some funky color tones which show up in the movie and plenty of camera shake. Music: None Borderline False Advertising: Theres a grand total of four people in this entire movie. To me thats a long, long way from being a gangbang, and I felt a bit ripped off because of it.

You can hear the performers pretty good, but you can hear the TV which appears to be in the room in the first scene every bit as well. Theres also plenty of background noises and comments between the performers and cameraman. The video is okay. Its lit pretty well, but also fairly grainy. Music: None False Advertising: The cover states theres trailers, but I couldnt find any on the DVD. The title is also misleading. I expected this to be one big scene with two girls taking on seven guys, or two scenes with each girl taking on seven guys.

The audio is nicely balanced, but theres a lot of background noises. Not only do you get to hear the camera, but you get to hear the crew almost as if theyre a part of the scene. The video is okay. It has a little grain, and although there are a few shadows, its pretty well lit. Theres a bit of camera shake, and the cameramen show up in the background throughout the action.

Its clear and well balanced, but there are a couple background noises that intrude on the scenes. The video is also well done, although there are quite a few shadows throughout the feature. Theres also some very slight grain, but the picture normally looks very good. The setup for The Gathering on the DVD, however, uses some filters with the video, which seems completely out of place and makes it look very blurry.

I think it might be due to the ego of a guy who puts the word Super in front of his name. Initial Reaction: I guess its not too bad other than Mario makes Ed Powers look humble and charming. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting porn that focuses on egotistical guys Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants porn focusing on women, thats tastefully edited, or thats an anal and D.P. spunkfest Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty normal for gonzo porn. The audio is often a little off balance, and much of the dialogue seemed just muddy enough that when combined with a British accent I couldnt understand it. Theres a fair amount of camera shakes, extreme close-ups, and shots where you cant see any of the real action.

The audio is decently balanced, but some of the audio is a little muddy. The video is okay but doesnt have a lot of detail. Music: The music has the same cheesy feel as most porn of the mid-eighties, and is a bit on the loud side. Menus: The menus are extremely basic. You have the choice between watching one or both movies and previews. There isnt any animation in any of the menus, but this was also a very early DVD release.

Im not expecting anything different here. Initial Reaction: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Who Should Watch It : Amateur porn fans without much money who like older women Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants full sex scenes or decent technical aspects Audio /Video Quality: The audio basically sucks. No, its often clear, but its rare for the audio to be from the actual scenes in the movie. You rarely hear the girl in the solo scenes, and even the vibrator noises are obviously dubbed there. Unfortunately, when theres real audio theres nothing edited out so you hear things like the cameraman asking the performers to look at them before you see a flash of the still camera and the crew talking between each other. The video, however, is surprisingly good even when one doesnt consider how horribly done the audio is.

Initial Reaction: Theres some decent care to the feature, but its not my thing and almost put me to sleep. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants to watch mostly dressed women only Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants nudity or real audio Audio /Video Quality: Theres no audio outside of the music, which disappointed me. The video is surprisingly clear right out to the edge of the screen and well lit. Theres a little pixelation, but not much. Music: The music reminded me of things like elevators and the dentist office. Disc Problems / Complaints: Theres no time stamp here, which always ticks me off. I like to be able to jump around in movies, as well as knowing things like how long the movie is and how much is left. Without the time stamp, Im left in the dark.
