Initial Expectations: I’ve heard some great things about Pat Myne’s work behind the camera. He definitely has a cast with potential here, so I’m really looking forward to this one!

Initial Reaction: Shane’s World it’s not!

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting something light and fun similar to the early Shane’s World features.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting to see and hear the action clearly

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is, in a word, horrible. It captures the party boat action perfectly as you get to hear 99% party, boat, and atmosphere and 1% action happening on the boat. Even when they get away from the boat you can barely hear the action, and sometimes on the boat you get to see one couple go at it while another fucks. This is easily the worst sounding adult film I’ve seen in a heck of a long time! The video is okay. There’s a lot of natural light used, but the colors aren’t bleached out and the cast isn’t completely lost in the shadows for the most part. There are a few areas where the shadows take over and there is a little bit of grain, but even that is pretty even. Finally, there’s a few remnants that pop up and interfere with things as a well as a couple areas with some bad pixelation.

Music: The music has a cheesy beach and cheesy rock feel and would have been a lot better if it hadn’t been so darn repetitive and loud.

Misleading Advertising: Samantha Sterlyng, Ashley Long, Flick Shagwell, Friday, Austin O’Riley, and Sasha are all featured prominently on the cover, but Friday’s the only one of them to get any real action. Samantha, Flick, and Sasha are only in the tease portions and never get close to any kind of action. Austin and Ashley barely qualify, but at least they get into some of the action. This is misleading enough that I’m dropping a half point off the overall score.

Menus: The menus are pretty good. The main menu has a little animation and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature: Paty Myne has put together a group to go have a little party. It’s a houseboat full of crazed pornstars and all they seem to want to do is fuck around with each other and play in the water. Sometimes they fuck around in the boat and sometimes they head to the beach.

Friday, a bit tittied brunette, starts things out with Christopher Streams, I think. He tongues her twat while she plays a bit to the camera. Afterwards she sucks his cock and takes a small pop in her mouth.

This isn’t much of an opening scene. It’s playful, but not very sexy. It does do an okay job of setting up the feel for the feature, but that’s about it.

After the boat anchors, Friday and Mark Ashley head off to a bed in the woods. Friday gives Mark some nice loving and a little titty attention before having him reciprocate. Mark nails her missionary style before having her turn around and eating her holes before fucking her from behind. Finally, Mark gives Friday a mammoth helping of nutty good ness for her face.

This is a pretty good scene. Mark and Friday put some good energy into things, and Friday seems to be enjoying herself nicely. I was a little disappointed that Friday didn’t take it in the can, but that’s about my only complaint here.

Kate Frost and John West get it on next while the others go swimming. John lets his tongue pleasure each of Kate’s holes before she demonstrates what looks to be the complete lacking of a gag reflex with his long hard cock. John gives Kate a good hard fuck missionary style before letting her ride him reverse cowgirl style. Finally, Kate takes a nice wide eyed facial catching as much of John’s joy juice as she can in her mouth.

This is a hot scene. Kate and John have great chemistry together and both put in some excellent energy. I’ve really liked Kate for a long time, and although it’s been a while since I’ve watched her I was reminded why I liked her so much here. She really gets into it and frequently smiles with her entire face rather than just her mouth, right down to her smiling wide-eyed facial at the end of the scene.

Pat and Britney Jade team up next. Pat tongues Britney’s beaver before going directly to nailing her missionary style. They work in a little doggie action as well before Pat gives Britney a pop on her tongue that she supposedly swallows when the camera pans up for Pat to yap.

This was a pretty average scene. Britney is cute and puts some decent energy into the scene, but I just couldn’t get into it too well. It seemed to have some good chemistry, but as usual the background noises interfered to the point that I couldn’t get into it.

Taylor Lynn and Nikke Frank (I think) get it on in the penultimate scene. He gives her bald beaver a little tongue action before having her suck his cock. Taylor hops on Nikke’s cock to ride him cowgirl style, and takes it nice and slow at first as she appears to have some trouble with his size. They spoon before Taylor takes an anal pounding reverse cowgirl style. Finally, Taylor takes the pop on her tits and tongue.

Once again, this scene was more of a hit than a miss. It looked like Taylor was really getting into it, but the camera work left more than a little to be desired. Shadows overtook much of the scene and the camera angles were off to the point that I had a hard time seeing anything. It’s really too bad because this looked like it had the potential to be a great scene.

The crew has a bit of an orgy next. Angel Long and a guy exchange a bit of oral attention before things switch to Friday. She gets eaten by Mark Ashley and Ashley Long before John Strong sticks her. Ashley gets some attention from everybody around her possible, including Kate Frost who helps her out with the guys, but neither of the girls get fucked long enough to notice. Friday finally takes a pop on her tongue as another of the girls gets fucked.

This is a very forgettable scene. Due to the style of it I couldn’t get into any of it, and the shadows were quite bad here. This should be a great way to finish up a feature, but it bombs here.

Young, Wet, & Wild 2 is a sad porno. It reeks of potential, but seems to shoot itself in the foot repeatedly. First, there’s the idea. Putting a bunch of porn stars together on a houseboat to party is a great Shane’s World type of an idea, especially when the cast is as good as this one. It lets you have sex most anytime while still having fun setups and showing a bit of personality for the stars. Sadly, all that seems to come off in the exactly wrong way. Yes, there’s a bit of personality and Pat seems like a great host much of the time, but I really don’t need to see the girls trying to make themselves throw up by sticking their fingers down their throat when they start to feel a little seasick! Also, there’s some nice chemistry in the sex, but the audio balance at the very least holds back the scenes and in some cases all but ruined it. I felt like I should have watched most of the movie in fast forward mode as I wasn’t going to get close to hearing anything close to the action anyway. Pat also seems as concerned with the playing around as he does with the sex. Although this is normally a good thing, here it hurts the feature as he wants to do it half from above water and half underwater with the music being the dominant audio. I felt like I was watching an MTV reject for a good portion of the time when nobody was fucking. Perhaps the saddest thing is that there really is some good fucking here. Kate Frost is every bit as excellent as one normally expects from her, and she’s not alone. After all is said and done, Pat Myne’s direction on this installment of a young series gets a little too wild and the feature ends up pretty much all wet. He does show some potential here, so hopefully there will be some improvement over his next few movies.

Extras: Trailers are included for Finally Legal 4, Skeeter Kerkove’s Anal Excursions, Ron Jeremy’s On the Loose: Venice Beach, and Pat Myne’s Runaway Teens. The photo gallery lasts about a minute and a half with roughly five seconds per very nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. There’s also internet and phone sex information.

Overall: Currently, many of Metro’s DVDs can be found online for between $12 and $25 with most stores offering them for around $20. I’d aim at the low end here. There’s some hot sex, but the style of the movie interferes with it badly. The video is okay but the audio is some of the worst I’ve heard in a long time and there isn’t much of anything for extras.

Note to Metro: Since you have Pat under contract now, include a bonus scene from one of his other movies as an extra. It should be easy to do and it will let people have a little better taste of his style. You apparently have some good hope for him, so let other people see why! A commentary would also have been fun here with Pat and one or two of his “crew” from the movie. Finally, a little more polish would be good. List the name of at least the girl in the chapter menu or include a cast listing. You have a decent start here, so not start polishing so the shine other companies are putting on their DVDs doesn’t illuminate the wear on yours.
