Initial Expectations: As with most bondage DVDs, I’m not expecting much here.
Initial Reaction: With audio I think this would have been a darn good feature!
Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants bondage action with a softer touch and who doesn’t mind not having audio
Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting hardcore bondage or who wants audio
Audio /Video Quality: Although it looks like it should have it, since there is talking in the movie, there’s absolutely no audio for the feature. Okay, if you turn up your volume all the way you get a hiss that sounds kind of like what happens after I eat Mexican food, but I don’t really consider that audio. The video shows a fair amount of grain, with the picture looking about like a second generation VHS copy.
Music: None
Menus: The menus do anything but give a good first impression. The main menu is unanimated and there isn’t a chapter menu.
The Feature: Erotic Bondage collects two scenes that are unrelated except for the subject. In each scene, Frank Zee, Ona Zee’s half who was born with a penis, works over a girl mixing both bondage and teases. Frank starts out interviewing the girl a little, which of course you can’t hear, before getting into the action.
Frank starts things off with Tatianna, a cute Latin. He helps her show off her body and kisses her tits a little before securing her to a cross. He blindfolds her and rubs her nipples with a fur mitten and a spur. He spanks her pussy and clamps her pussy and tits, while also taking the time to caress and suck them. Frank continues to bring out instruments such as vibrators and whips to enhance Tatianna’s experience, while also moving her into different positions such as standing up with rope bondage or suspended off the ground by her ankles and wrists.
This is a very different scene, and nicely helps the feature live up to its title. Frank does a great job of mixing bondage and eroticism, and makes this one of the sexiest bondage titles I’ve had the pleasure to watch. Tatianna gets into everything very well through the scene, and leaves no real doubt as to whether or not she’s enjoying herself. If only this scene would have had audio!
Redhead Ariel Daye is next. Once again Frank starts out gently helping her show off her great body before giving her the fur mitten and spur while blindfolded. He also flogs her in a few positions and breaks out some hot wax. They finish things up with a bit of spanking and a bit more flogging, which Ariel really seems to like.
This is another good scene, but it ended up lacking quite a bit. Ariel gets into it quite well, but the scene is almost identical to the previous scene. I actually had a case of deja vu watching it, and was thankful it had two completely different looking girls in it and a little hot wax here or I’d be on the watch for Dr. Frank-N-Furter out of fear of doing the time warp again!
Erotic Bondage is a great idea that just doesn’t pan out. Yes, there’s the absence of audio which is a very big part of it. The bigger part is that the two scenes are so similar that if there was a script for the scenes that were each written by a different person, somebody would have been accused of plagiarism so fast that they couldn’t help but get a job at the New York Times! On the good side, however, I really like the idea of this feature. Bondage is almost always portrayed as an extremely dark act without any fun in it, and Frank puts a lot of enjoyment into this one. You can tell the girls are enjoying themselves, and Frank looks like he makes a real effort to make sure they do. Erotic Bondage is far from perfect, but it’s still a very good idea.

Raincoat Factor: High if you don’t need audio. Very low if you do need audio
Condom Usage: None, as with most bondage features there’s no penetration
Overall: Currently, Erotic Bondage can be found online for between $11 and $24 with stores offering it everywhere in between. Since the current DVD doesn’t appear to have any audio, I really can’t recommend this one. I can live with the grainy picture and no extras, but not having audio ruins this one for me. If this actually had audio, I think the action here would have made the feature very worth the low end.
Note to New Machine: As I’ve said before, extras would be nice as well as chapter breaks that actually correspond to something (like where the scenes break). I’d like to add one more thing here: audio!
Final Note: I was contacted by New Machine shortly before submitting this review on another matter. I mentioned the lack of audio to the person who contacted me, and roughly an hour later I had an e-mail back stating “Thanks for letting me know about Erotic Bondage, the disc is in deed lacking audio. We have sold thousands of units and you are the first to mention the lack of sound. If anyone complains we will exchange or a give them full credit for the DVD. It seems that they don’t care and appreciate the visuals of the DVD.”. If you’re one of the people who have already picked up this DVD, I would suggest you contact either the retailer you purchased your DVD through and have them contact New Machine so that you and they can be reimbursed or New Machine directly.
