Director: None credited Running time: 2:50 My short review: This NJ Films Euro offering features 4 scenes of b/b/g and 1 scene of b/g/g. Clear and simple, Im reviewing this movie solely to see Lucy in action. After a quick 1st scan, I would like to point out that the camera work is mainly close-ups/zoom of the action and penetration. Its like the camera man was not allowed to leave a 3-foot radius from the performers and had to zoom in as close as possible. Plus, some verbal instructions could be heard from the director in the background. Iron Head 1 - Preview Expectations: The main site I researched this title on, listed this title as being new content, but other's listed it as a compilation, and going from the back of the box and the cast list, I would tend to agree that it is likely a compilation. I've generally been happy with most of the Lexington Steele, and Mercenary Pictures titles I have bought or checked out, so whatever this one is, I hope it keeps up the trend. Initial Thoughts I guess the best way to describe my feeling on this title just to say this title is frustrating. It is indeed a compilation, mainly of Lex's stuff from Mercenary and possibly some of his titles from Red Light District, it is basically the oral only part of the scene, spliced with the pop, now that alone is fairly frustrating that they couldn't even use oral only scenes, but to add to that, they put in much of the opening tease and some of Lex going down on the girls. Shortly after reviewing MASQUERADE for Adult DVD Talk, I had the opportunity to take a gander at THE OBSESSION OF LAURE, a Wicked Pictures DVD from Marc Dorvel Video and starring gorgeous featured actress Laure Sinclair. Well, immediately after glancing at the cast listing of OBSESSION, I was almost convinced that this movie would top MASQUERADE, due to my overwheming partiality to Vicca (now a VCA contract girl) and Anita Blonde who performs in three of thirteen (!) scenes in this video. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" Watching this was pure bliss (sorry for the pun) The Movie: This has to be one of the best adult movies I've seen in a while. This is not just a porno. You cannot watch this and fast forward through the dialogue. You would miss SO much! The characters and the plot are extremely well written, and very involving. You have three couples: Carla and Justin, Gwen and Eddie, and Max and Nikita. Carla can't stop cheating on Justin, and Justin can sense that something is wrong. Gwen can't stand Eddie because he lies to her, but he won't agree to a divorce. Max is an asshole, plain and simple, and Nikita wants to find a way to get back at him. Okay, this sounds like a basic porno... it's not. This movie is very dark, and very depressing. No one gets a real happy ending, and the sex, in most cases, is not meant to be romantic. This video directed by the one and only Michael Ninn occasionally goes overboard with the digital effects used throughout the various sex scenes, but unlike his previous efforts like SHOCK, LATEX and the highly disappointing NEW WAVE HOOKERS, they never distract or get in the way of the eroticism (his best work, DECADENCE and DIVA I through III have yet ato appear on DVD. However, I do have a aesthetic complaint about this film, which unfortunately cannot be helped due to the visual setting and theme of this movie. The powder white bouffant wigs which are placed on the head of every girl gets to be a bit much, and makes most of the girls lookalike. I wasn't sure what to expect as I popped in Coming to Beverly Hills. I expected there to be some good scenes and some attractive ladies but beyond that I had no idea. As I'm sure will be apparent, I really liked this movie and the DVD was well done. As I put the disc in, I was greeted with the Dolby Digital "City" Trailer. Very cool to have. (There is a DTS track but no DTS trailer is included.) Next, come the nicely animated movie themed menus. They're not super fancy but they are pretty good. On to the movie itself Nikita arrives and narrates about her arrival in Beverly Hills. Then the opening credits role and we see various shots of Beverly Hills. These are shot fairly well and edited together well. We then see Nikita enter the house where she is greeted by the maid, played by Dee, who then leaves to go get Madame(played by Christina St. James). Nikita looks around and we see a brief shot of Vicca running by nude upstairs. Madame is poolside sucking Michael J. Cox off. She promptly leaves when given the word that Nikita has arrived. RITUAL VCA Feature Starring: Vicca, Nikita, Katja Kean, Dee, Azlea, Keri Windsor, Jenny MacArthur, Danielle Rogers, Evan Stone, Damien Wolf, Julian, Brick Majors, Randy Spears, Tyce Bune, James Bonn, Eric Price Directed By: Michael Ninn Running Time:Feature: 100 minutes Total: 110 minutes Rating: 7/10 FEATURE: Overall: Since this film actually has a plot I can't just jump straight into describing the sex scene's, instead I will first give a general outline of the plot, its good and bad points, etc. This movie surprised me with its plot. I read other peoples reviews and thought it would be interesting and was not let down. I was still surprised when I found myself paying more attention to the visuals and plot of the film than the sex, especially at the beginning. There is a definite emphasis placed away from the sex, most of the sex is a bit impersonal. It is laboratory sex. This aspect plays right along with the plot however. The thing that surprised me the most was it's comic aspect. [read the full review]
