Synopsis:
The virginal Virginia (Michelle Wild) keeps having dreams of the Devil (Dieter von Stein) violating her while Christian (Mick Blue) keeps having dreams of Virginia. After Christian runs into Virginia he finds out that he has to deflower her to prevent the Devil from carrying out an evil scheme.

Audio/Video:
The Devil Deep Inside is presented with an English 2.0 Stereo track which works fine for the material being presented in the film. In a change from the standard way Private makes their films, the English track is the original language track for the film and isn't dubbed. The dialog is clear and can be heard at all times. Private has also included dubbed French, German, Italian and Spanish tracks along with Dutch, Swedish, Portuguese, Danish and Polish subtitles for the film.

The Devil Deep Inside is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the feature film. If it has been cropped, there are no indications present in the film. As with most Private discs, the picture here is in great shape, sporting no artifacts, blemishes, glitches or any other problems. The color levels are correctly set.

Special Features:
The disc has the same standard array of extras that most Private discs have, tailored to the film. There is the making of which runs for 9 minutes and has more images of the filming than anything else. It briefly touches on a lot, but focuses on very little and there is more material on the sex scenes than anything else. There is a photobook, that contains 41 stills that you flip through. There are production notes, which is a short write-up on the title. There is the trailer for the feature film presented in 1.85:1 widescreen. Cast holds a short write up with a little personal info and a Private filmography for all the females in the production. And last, other titles holds previews for Private Eye, Reality 17, Tequila Bum Bum, Castings X 22, and Hot Latinas.

DVD-ROM Special Features:
There are two DVD-ROM extras included on the disc. The first is the standard internet activated DVD catalog, which lists many of Private's releases with info on each one and screen shots for some of them. The other is there are nine different pieces of wallpaper for your PC, one for The Devil Deep Inside, some for Nurses in Heat, some for Michelle Wild, one for Rock Hard, one for Castings X, and some for Island Fever.

Disc Design/Navigation:
The disc starts out with two minutes of warnings that you can skip and an advert for Private's web site, which you can also skip, before getting to the menus. The menus are designed with simple animation and background music. There are six chapters available from the chapter menu. Each one is identified by a video clip. There are seven chapter stops within the feature film itself. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film.

General Review:
The Devil Deep Inside is a plot-based film from Private and Kovi that unfortunately never lives up to its full potential. There are some great aspects to the film and some disappointing ones. The plot ends up working for and against the film at the same time. Some work went into creating the story, but the plot feels rushed in places due to the sex scenes and there are some massive holes in it. The film should have been extended for a half hour to fill out the plot and make the film much better.

Some of the sex scenes in the film actually help to tell the story, like the first one with Michelle Wild and Dieter von Stein, which isn't necessary for the story, but fits in well. The last one with Michelle Wild and Mick Blue also fits in well with the story. The rest, are just sex scenes thrown into the film unfortunately. It would have been nice if they had made them tie in with the film better.

As per the norm with Private films, the females in the film look great and are rather enthusiastic in their scenes. The sex scenes are well done, but could have been better. There were times that I felt that the sexual acts being shown were there just to make the quota of act time necessary for the film as they didn't fit in too well with the scene. For instance, in the sex scene with Michelle Wild and Mick Blue at the end of the film, it doesn't really seem like he is taking her virginity. Especially when they head into the anal sex. It's too bad because the beginning of this scene is excellent. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal and anal sex with hand jobs, anal fingering, P2M, blow jobs, DP, male masturbation, gaping, pussy fingering, female masturbation, pussy eating, and lesbianism. For viewers that care about condom use, there are no condoms used in the film.

The exterior locations used in the film, apparently in Hungary, are excellent and perfectly fit the film and the plot. They are well shot as well, with good attention to detail, making the non-sex portions of the film look great. The interior locations are lacking with sets that look rather hastily assembled. With the work that went into the exterior scenes, I wish they had put a little more time into the interior scenes so they fit in with the film better. I loved the beginning of the sex scene with Mick Blue and Michelle Wild. This is a well planned shot which is well executed (except for a still frame after Mick's dick rises) that shows a creativity level seldom seen in adult films these days that reminded me of films from the golden age. The scene starts with a close-up of Michelle's face followed by you seeing a close-up of Mick's penis rising. Then a medium range shot of Michelle spreading her legs and then you get a close-up of Mick's erect dick. Followed by a close-up shot of Michelle's pussy clenching and unclenching and then it goes back to a close-up of Mick's dick. Then they go into the sex scene.

They did a decent job with the devil's make-up. You can tell that latex was used and where the pieces are from the lines and color changes. However, for an adult film, it looks good. If they had softened the lines between skin and latex more and shifted the differences in color slower and used less lighting in the scenes with the devil, it would have come out much better. They also should have used less close-ups of his face as it is very apparent in them. There are some great morph effects in the scene in which Black Diamond becomes Michelle Wild and Tina Crystal becomes Michelle Wild, which added to the scene.

Scene Synopsis:
The first scene brings us Michelle Wild and Dieter Von Stein and the scene starts out in progress with some vaginal sex. For a little it alternates between some vaginal sex and a quick hand job. Then Michelle gives Dieter a blow job. Then they go back to the vaginal sex. Then the two switch over to some anal sex. Michelle gives him a quick blow job until he cums on her face.

The second scene features Simony, Dike, Choky Ice, and Mick Blue. The scene starts out with Simony and Dike giving Choky a blow job while Choky fingers Dike's pussy a little. Then Choky has vaginal sex with Simony while she eats Dike's pussy and Mick masturbates on the side. Choky goes down to briefly eat and finger Simony before he returns to the vaginal sex. Then Nikita gives Lauro a bj and Lauro anally fingers her a little while Maya sits to the side masturbating with a dildo. Lauro and Nikita go onto some anal sex while Maya continues to masturbate. Parting Thoughts:
The Devil Deep Inside could have been a much better film than it turned out to be, however, it isn't bad. Just be prepared to be let down by the plot when you watch it. Viewers that hate a plot with their adult material, like tame sex only or like really nasty sex only will want to pass on this title. Others may want to give it a view, but I recommend renting it before you purchase as this one may not have much replay value to the standard consumer.
