The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, including when Christoph talks with the girls from behind the camera. The only time there’s close to a problem is in the second scene when there’s sex with on a speedboat going down river, and that’s fairly understandable. The video is very well done. There’s barely a hint of grain and the lighting is very well done.

Menus: As usual, Evil Angel has put some nice effort into their menus. The main menu has a little animation and a bit of the movie for a good first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene, a range of chapter numbers, and even the name of the girls in each scene. There’s also Evil Angel’s standard fetish menu, which lets you jump directly to specific sex acts such as toys, anal, or cumshots.

With his Euro Angels Hardball series, Christoph Clark lets his nasty side out. Of course it’s a vignette style movie, and Christoph normally starts things out with a sexy tease. This time the theme is Super Hard Sex, and ever girl takes plenty of it.

Scene 1 - Jenny Blair, David Perry, Alberto Rey, and Kid Jamaica

Scene 2 - Marylin, David Perry, Greg Centaruo, and Bruno SX

Yes, there was a bit of noise due to the wind there, but all things considered, I think Christoph did a great job with this scene technically. That said, there’s something about this scene that didn’t quite work for me. I think it might be the limited camera angles due to everybody being on a boat, but I’m just not sure. The other thing that threw me was Greg Centauro as a bleached blonde. As a completely straight guy I can say that Greg is one heck of a hot guy, but the blonde look was definitely not the right move! It’s a pretty hot scene, but something about it held it back from being quite as hot as the previous scene.

Scene 3 - Sandra Mark, Nikita, Ian Scott, and Jean-Yves LeCastel

Sandra and Nikita start out the third scene in black and red, respectively. That said, there’s enough passion and energy here that I didn’t have any problem getting into the scene and staying in it. This is a very nice end for the movie.

Not surprisingly, Hardball 22 is one heck of a great porno. There’s plenty of nasty anal sex as well as lots of energy through the entire movie. The girls all look like there’s nothing they’d like to do more than fuck their partners in each scene, and don’t seem to be afraid of anything sexually. As usual, Christoph does a great job capturing it all, and takes five similar scenes and does them so well that I couldn’t look away. He balances his shots very well and moves around without drawing notice to it. The editing is also very well done, and helps to give the scenes a very natural feel. The only scene that didn’t quite work for me was Marylin’s scene, and I’m not quite sure why it didn’t. Sandra Mark easily stole the movie with her performance, but Jenny, Maya, and Camelie also did fantastic jobs. Hardball 22 is another well done addition to Christoph Clark’s recent string of great movies.

The Extra Stuff

The bonus footage lasts just over sixteen minutes. After a few minutes of oral between Marylin and the guys, they start fucking with the boat still speeding along. Currently, most Evil Angel releases can be found online for between $18 and $28 with many stores offering them for around $20. As usual, Christoph has put out a release that’s well worth the time and money. With the exception of one scene (which is still pretty good, the sex is smoking hot and the technical aspects are great. There’s even some nice effort put into the extras. This is a great DVD!
