Juli Ashton: So what’s the story here, Michael?
Michael Ninn: No story – just nice pictures – pictures of pretty women
This back and forth between Juli and Michael sums up the ‘plot’ of Diva Girls, the perfect disc for those who just want to watch beautiful women. Twenty-five of the finest women in porn masturbate to you/ for you. If you really want to get up close and personal with Jeanna Fine or Stephanie Swift or Asia Carrera or your choice of 25 gorgeous women, don’t miss this masturbatory parade. Diva Girls is divided into 25 solo scenes with ‘behind-the-scenes’, candid footage in between each performance. The sets and mood vary depending on the particular woman’s personality.
The DVD includes a short Michael Ninn interview where he explains that the girls had no script and no instruction, other than to be themselves. He told each of them to “treat it like a lap dance” for the movie viewer. The whole notion of first person sex that so many interactive DVDs have attempted is truly accomplished in Diva Girls. The girl is definitely performing for you the viewer – and the excellent camera work puts her right in your living room.
Watching women masturbate is not really my thing, but I was very impressed by the disc as a whole. The ‘Cast’ extra allows you to navigate to each girls scene by name as well as navigate to their bonus scene. The five bonus scenes are all girl/girl sex scenes – very sensual, highly erotic. The ‘Forbidden Scene’ is a fun concept and really gets you to pour through the whole disc. To top it off you get trailers for Cashmere, Diva 4, and Forever Night. VCA does one heck of a job with these trailers. The cover of Forever Night had always turned me off, but the trailer sparked my interest.
If you like to watch women pleasure themselves, Diva Girls is your heaven on earth. With 25 different woman, your type is bound to be there. As Ninn says, “Now, no one has to be alone on a Friday night.”
