Dracula Exotica is a fun film from the beginning of the eighties. It combines a fun original story, with nicely done sex scenes, great locations, and some light comedy to create a film that is definitely worth checking out. The release from TVX Home Video is sadly very poor and is not worth picking up. [read the full review]

Tired of police harassment and the daily grind of the life, a group of big city prostitutes led by the utterly gorgeous, aspiring comedian, Nancy Suiter, goes about moving their illicit trade off of the streets and into a taxicab company. Of course, the company takes off like wildfire, which--itself--brings about its own slew of problems. Such is the case in "Taxi Girls" (81 min, 42 sec), an exceptional, 1979 release from VCX and director Jourdan Alexander. [read the full review]

review from 6/20/2015:
A former stewardess possessing the looks of a brunette goddess, it's easy to understand how the lovely Leslie (Lesllie) Bovee skyrocketed to the top of the adult film industry in the 1970's. Indeed, with a sexuality that matches her beauty, she was a one-of-a-kind performer, and this ultimately landed her in the AVN Hall of Fame...as well as in the hearts (and balls) of her many fans. Collected in this release, "The Golden Age of Porn: Leslie Bovee" (Gentlemen's Video), are five sexy sequences featuring this sultry siren of yesteryear that, while clocking in at just over an hour, still serve nicely to highlight the actress's varied and distinguished carnal career. Synopsis Ah the old days, bad acting and big bush, lol. This one's a comedy, with a running joke that involved private eye, Marc Wallice being the only one who thinks its raining, sticks his head outside his office and gets a bucket of water to the face. The plot device is Marc spying on Rachel Ashley's hubby, Mike Horner, to see if he's having an affair. Turns out that both Ashley & Horner are just voyeurs who love to masturbate while watching others masturbate. Ah love. The Cast Unquestionably the selling point. Selena Steele is stunningly hot. Charli, no, not the mid 90s one, is here in a RARE dvd... I think iv'e only seen her in ' Star 90' too. Anyhow, she's smokin' hot. Rachel Ashley. MILF. Sexy milf, with big brestesses. Nice. You blond lovers will enjoy all natural Sascha Strange. Long curly blond hair, suprisingly w/out implants. Cool. The Sex Umm, not all that remarkable. [read the full review]

review from 5/14/2006:
As with the TVX release of (Anna) Obsessed, the film "For The Love Of Pleasure" and the TVX release of said film are very different, so different in places that when watching the uncut version it almost feels like a new movie. That said, the following is a review of the original uncut version off of a 1986 Essex Home Video tape. Anyone even marginally familiar with hardcore films of the 1970s has undoubtedly heard of Annette Haven and Jamie Gillis and as familiar as I am with their work, their roles in this 1979 film has always seemed a bit odd, even by 70s hardcore standards. The plot: **HEREIN MAY LAY SPOILERS** Jamie Gillis is Simon, a down on his luck, petty thief who makes the mistake of breaking into the home of a woman who, upon seeing him, forces him to have sex with her then shoots him to death when her husband comes home. It should be noted that Jamie keeps his gym shoes on throughout the entire sex scene... Gillis ends up in the afterlife where he is greeted by Annette Haven (God?) who provides him with an endless supply of women, food, and finery. [read the full review]

Oddobsessionmovies'
review from 5/10/2006:
How does one review a cut version of an alternate cut? I suppose I'll begin with a bit of background. In 1976, when the term talent in relation to hardcore films didn't mean that a movie included 5 anal scenes or an "actress" was willing to do a creampie, many TALENTED filmmakers lent their hands (and minds) to high class, high budgeted, hardcore productions. Barriers were broken as more and more controversial material was allowed into hardcore productions. Even so, some still pushed the line a bit too far. (Anna) Obsessed was born in 1976, and released simply under the title Obsessed (a title which inexplicably remains on every single video I've ever seen of this film, even though all the boxes say Anna Obsessed). The film was either to strong, or perhaps to depressing and realistic for both critics and audiences, for it disappeared from screens as quickly as it had arrived. Towards the end of 1977 however, Obsessed reemerged as Anna Obsessed. [read the full review]

A budding, young woman with some unique daddy issues, the cute-as-can-be Lysa Thatcher, finds herself running toward New York City to find her twin sister after an unexpected sexual encounter with her mother's boyfriend, Jamie Gillis, goes awry. What will ultimately become of young Lysa and her journey...and what the Hell's actually going on, quite honestly...end up as the burning questions of the day. Starring: Jerry Butler, Buck Adams, Jamie Summers, Sheena Horne & Cassandra Leigh, with a cameo by Jamie Gillis (1987) Thoughts... Just because a porn flick is from the "Golden Age" doesnt justify it the status of "Classic" This reasoning isnt allowed in mainstream and as far as I am concerned, I dont allow it in porn. There is true classic stuff to be had from the 80s; and Raw Talent II aint it. I had heard over the years about the "Raw Talent" series, but never seen any of them whilst I was discovering porn in the 80s. So when I seen this title, along with "Raw Talent III" available for review, I snatched them both up thinking I had a mini classic goldmine on my hands..heck..even "Hustler" graced the back cover with a blurb stating: "An Orgy of physical sex"! Wow..Hustler must have been paid off to say that stuff cause as far as Raw Talent II is concerned, its not true at all. [read the full review]

Highlighting one of the classical beauties and true sexual goddesses of the 1970's era of adult films, "The Golden Age of Porn: Serena" from Gentlemen's Video certainly delivers the goods. Indeed, despite its short running length and handful of scenes, this compilation packs a punch, providing one solid Serena sequence after another. review from 5/22/2018:
A young heiress, played by the blonde beauty, Catharine Burgess, finds herself becoming more and more despondent, as her sexual obsession with a possessed mirror in the attic of her childhood manor grows. Of course, the mirror itself serves as a conduit to Hell, and its demonic inhabitant, played deftly by the master thespian himself, Jamie Gillis, is intent on beckoning her to the other side, where it can both own her soul and her sexuality for eternity. In so doing, it takes on the form of Catharine's deceased father, for whom her feelings are "complicated", at best, and whether she will ultimately succumb to its erotic seductions or escape from its clutches and return to a normal (albeit boring) life becomes the question of the day. Such is the case in "Through the Looking Glass", an exceptional, 1976 release from Video-X-Pix and director Jonas Middleton. [read the full review]

review from 9/2/2017:
It's a dark and lonely world for a corporate prostitute, Tish Ambrose, who, despite having all of her material needs met and then some, only finds true happiness in the letters of a mentally troubled war buddy, Eric Edwards, of her deceased brother. Indeed, Tish appears to have it all as the longstanding head-lady of R. Bolla's cadre of corporate cuties, who provide sexual services to both the better employees of his firm and corrupt politicians alike, yet her heart yearns to quench its emptiness. It's solely Edwards' writings that can fill this void, so it's with great happiness that she greets him when he finally gets up the courage to surprise her with a visit. Of course, this doesn't sit well with Bolla, her boss, whose strong-arm tactics clash with the pair's feelings for one another violently. How it will all end up--happily or in blood...or both--remains the unanswered question of the day. Such is the case in "Corporate Assets", an exceptional, 1985 release. [read the full review]

review from 8/2/2004:
1001 Erotic Nights #2 is a 1986 feature recently released on DVD as a VCA Classic, which is not a strong testament for porn of that era. While the action has moments of heat, this is typical 80s smut heavy with dialogue, poor attempts at humor, period costumes, and bad acting. The story opens with a 3-on-1 blowjob. Francois is the Sultan, and also the lucky recipient of the oral pleasuring by Kristina Barrington, Bunny Bleu, and Sandy Summers. There is too much slow motion in this nine-minute scene for my taste, but you can sense the enjoyment Francois is experiencing before he blows his load on their faces. The Sultan decides to throw a contest to find the sexiest girl in his kingdom. Blonde cutie Patti Petite applies and gives servant Jon Martin a fantastic hummer under the watchful eye of the Sultans assistant, Jamie Gillis. Petite takes Martins load in her mouth. In the token girl-girl scene, Tami White (aka Ariel Daye) works her way through Rayanne Drews extremely hairy bush while Gillis observes. [read the full review]

A fireside conversation between two lovers, Jamie Gillis and Delania Raffino, and the suggestion of a trip to Lake Shasta prompts the latter of the pair to recount a story from times past, when she last visited the lake with her ex-husband and Senator, Jack Wrangler. Of course, the trip was anything but typical, as it involved all manner of horny high-jinks, two of the participants--including Raffino herself--getting seriously lost, an assortment of awkward moments and interactions, and...finally...a trio of "protestors" intent on taking hostages and raping members of the party. review from 2/11/2017:
A curious, young woman (Veronica Hart) finds herself further and further entranced by an enchanted mirror that she and a friend happen upon in the back of a low-rent, New York City clothing store. Offering up myriad sexual visions and flashbacks of times past, the mirror pulls her deeper and deeper into its erotic, though ultimately devious, web. Such is the case in "Pandora's Mirror", a very good, 1981 release from Caballero and director Warren Evans (Shaun Costello). [read the full review]

From my local smut peddler, I recently picked up a used DVD of PANDORA'S MIRROR (1981) with the lovely Veronica Hart as Pandora, a woman who becomes obsessed with sexually charged trysts revealed in a mirror at an antique store. This top-notch 88 minute Warren Evans-Shaun Costello production expands on the bewitched mirror motif used in mainstream films like DEAD OF NIGHT (UK, 1945) to include tales of sexual obsession and perversion as told by this enchanted mirror. If you've seen it before, you know Coed Fever is one of the must own classics. If you haven't and you are a fan of the classics, this is one to pick up now. The movie has been given horrible treatment on the disc by Caballero, as per their norm, but for it's age, it isn't too bad if you can forgive the horrible disc mastering. The disc is hard to find but is well worth seeking out and well worth the purchase price. [read the full review]

A young, aristocratic woman, played by Terri Hall, falls headfirst into Jamie Gillis' dark and ultimately deadly web when she has a chance encounter with the harsh, unfeeling millionaire one fateful evening. Indeed, from the moment of their initial meeting at an establishment of fine-dining, Hall finds herself entranced and enveloped by Gillis' austere and mysterious demeanor, and the dark, sinuous path upon which the two set forth turns not only sinisterly sexual but dangerously controlling, as well. How it all will turn out for the pair is anybody's guess, but the outcome certainly looks ominous...at best. review from 1/15/2007:
Tis a shame that great film like this are treated like dirt by the companies that release them. Gerard Damiano's powerful and majestically shot masterpiece inspired by the great French Novel "The Story Of O" is one of the finest hardcore films EVER made by one of the genre's finest directors. Jamie Gillis is Jason, a wealthy socialite who discovers he is dying of a rare (although unnamed) desease. He thus "adopts" a young woman, Joanna (Teri Hall) to keep him company during his final days. She however is unaware of his ailments. Their relationship quickly turns from one of short term lovers to a violent bondage filled endurance test for poor Joanna who is tormented in just about every way possible. Slowly, as their profane relationship continues to develop, Jason becomes weaker and weaker due to his mysterious ailment while Joanna grows stronger and stronger through her torments... Damiano's great strengths as a director are present in every aspect of this masterpiece. [read the full review]

review from 3/25/2003:
Terri Hall......as Joanna Jamie Gillis....as Jason Zebedy Colt.....as Griffin Juliet Graham...as Gina "The Story of Joanna" from 1975 has the most highly developed storyline of any porn film I have seen. I don't want to give to much of it away, but it involves Jamie Gillis being a millionaire who picks up this woman and sets about degrading her for a special purpose he has for her later in the movie. The degredation of her though is very central to the plot of the movie and after what I had read of how this was one of the rougher movies of the 70's I was surprised by how tame it was. The acting in this movie is top notch, I have not seen a porn film with acting equal to this one. The music is excellent and the sets are beautiful. The audio and video on the dvd for this movie are not that good though, about equal to some of the classics VCX puts out on dvd. [read the full review]

When two gas station attendants, Jamie Gillis and Bud Wise, read an article about Hollywood starlets who are supplementing their incomes in the real estate business by treating high-end clients to the times of their lives, they both know that they have to get in on the deal. Of course, this means pretending to be wealthy, oil tycoons who have struck it rich and are looking to score some property from the ladies. And, to be fair, the pair does, indeed, eventually strike it rich--but in pussy, not crude--and they do score quite frequently, as well--just not in picking up property. A weekend camping trip in Hawaii for a pair of couples, Ginger Lynn & Ron Jeremy and Stacey Donovan & Jamie Gillis, quickly devolves into the ultimate sexual fantasy when they discover that they've "stumbled upon" a private set of sex games that are taking place upon the island. Of course, this works out perfectly for the guys...and for Ginger...and the only real holdout ends up being the less secure, and more prudish, Stacey. Indeed, the question as to whether she'll eventually succumb and partake in the perverse proceedings remains unanswered until the final scene of the film. Things go from bad to worse for a young woman--the blonde stunner of porno yesteryear, Jean Jennings--when she's committed by her parents to an insane asylum upon being discovered doing drugs with a friend. After finding nothing but rape and torment in the loony bin (...driving her to near insanity in and of itself...), she ultimately winds up in the clutches of a sick, sexual cult run by an evil, perverted "doctor". Clearly, her situation fails to improve, and whether she'll eventually escape--or whether she'll even want to--remains anyone's guess, as the brainwashing and "awakening" proceed. review from 7/7/2003:
Defiance (or Defiance of Good) is a dark, relatively unknown, horror-tinged movie from 1974. The central character is Cathy (Jean Jennings), a teenage girl who, after being discovered with drugs, is sent by her parents for psychiatric observation. However, the hospital she attends is a hellhole where she is harassed and raped by her fellow inmates so, when the opportunity to move to another clinic presents itself, she jumps at it. Unfortunately she soon comes to realise that her new doctor, played by a very hirsute Fred Lincoln, is actually closer to a brutal cult leader than a traditional medical practitioner. The film has quite a dark tone and (arguably) some philosophical under-currents but its neither as shocking as Through The Looking Glass or as thought-provoking as The Devil In Miss Jones. Defiance covers some rich narrative ground - bringing to mind One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, The Story of O and the Manson Family but never quite manages to be as interesting as it should be. There are a couple of nice directorial flourishes but somehow its all rather pedestrian. [read the full review]

Length: 71:50 Year: 1974 DEFIANCE! aka DEFIANCE OF GOOD as it says on the print used on this dvd is a film from 1974 and I went into this film not knowing much about it, excep having read a brief outline of the film and it sounded interesting. The outline to this story is that Cathy (Jean Jennings) a young girl is caught using drugs by her mother and her parents decide that it is best for her to go to a psychiatric hospital for a short period of observation. This hospital is a hell hole and all manner of strange men and women approach her in this place. She is raped by patients (one of whom is played by a very young Jamie Gillis) and the nurses and just when we think she may never get out of this place along comes a doctor who promises to get her out of this place. Fred Lincoln plays this doctor. He does an excellent job as this creepy doctor. He takes her out of this horrible hospital to his private clinic and submits her to his treatment which involves her being tied up and forced to have sex with other patients. [read the full review]

This is a compilation of some of Seka's best work - most of them from older Swedish Erotica loops. For those that like sex within threesomes, this is your tape as most of the loops feature two women (one of them being Seka) with a guy. Some are incredibly erotic - like the one starring Seka with Jamie Gillis and a very attractive young woman (who is uncredited, but appears to be none other than Lysa Thatcher - a hot little vixen from the Golden Age of Porn). The sex in this loop is extremely erotic - starting with Jamie spreading and holding the young vixen's sleek silk-stockinged legs apart with his hands - and then feasting on her sweet pussy while Seka undresses. Jamie finally pulls his tongue out of the squirming vixen's sopping pussy and loosens his grip on her stockings. With the vixen's pussy now fully primed by his cunning tongue, Jamie comes up behind the girl (who's laying on her back) and digs his massive cock between the back of her silky thighs up into her still-spasming snatch. Juicy Lucy is a typical 90s porno from VCA and director Alex deRenzy. Thats to say, it has a decent plot, terrible acting, and soft sex. The only thing unique about this flick is what may have been this reviewers first sighting of female squirting. Debates on whether squirting is real or just faked peeing abound on other websites. Suffice to say it was still a bit of a taboo through the 70s and 80s. This is the first time I can remember where the storyline centered on squirting. Rebecca Steele is the squirter here. She was not all that attractive, what with her body inked up terribly (another thing not seen too much in the old days). But she mastered the art of expelling liquid from her pussy and shows her skills in the first scene with Tom Byron. After taking him up the ass, she masturbates until she gushes. Her roommates (this is at a college somewhere in the Midwest) overhear her orgasm and a rumor spreads around campus about a squirter. Jamie Gillis, as a clinical doctor, offers a reward of $25,000 for the girl who can squirt. [read the full review]

The purpose of this review is to offer an alternative viewpoint from which to consider the merits of the movie. Ironically, I never would have written this review at all were it not for the fact that I'd just purchased this movie (based on some Internet research) and then almost immediately after receiving it happened to see Flash's review. I heard so many good things about Taxi Girls before I saw it. But, of course when I eventually saw it, well, I was less than satisfied. The premises is promising enough: hookers form a taxi company with the added bonus of sex, but when the film gets down to it, there's just too much sex. Characters and characterization is sacrificed on the alter of carnality. Promising subplots are thrown out in exchanged for excess screwing. There are a few amusing moments, but the film wastes its excellent cast, among them the always welcome Serena and the magnificent Nanci Suiter on material more suited for a perverse elementary school play. Jaacov Jaacovi isn't a bad director technically, but he just doesn't seem to know when a scene has gotten tiresome and repetitive and he must move on. [read the full review]

Alex deRenzy's "Pretty Peaches 2" is a lighthearted, fun sex epic that doesn't try to be anything more and therefore suceeds. The story, which never takes itself seriously, involves a girl named Peaches (Siobhan Hunter), desperate to learn about sex. She is interrupted by her mother (Tracey Adams) during her rendezvous with her boyfriend Bobby (Peter North). Bobby hides in mom's room and is found peeking at her. So what does she do? Fuck him, of course. Meanwhile, Peaches is growing more frustrated. She goes to visit her dad (Herschel Savage), who warns her not to be a tease. She then decides to go visit her uncle (Ron Jeremy), a crazy Vietnam vet. On the road, she is picked up by Buck Adams and gets a room with him, watching him fuck Jeanette Littledove (who was once Buck's real-life wife). At the same time, Tracey and Herschel get together to find Peaches. It turns out that they're divorced, but they reconcile (not until after a session from F.M. Bradley, though, however). review from 3/1/2004:
Title: Pretty Peaches 2 Released by: VCA You know, its not too often when Ill come across an adult DVD that has something that just takes me by surprise. But, wouldnt you know it, I found one here! Alex de Renzys "Pretty Peaches 2" is a sequel of sorts to his original 1978 movie. Well it was a sequel in title and director only. Where the first movie was about a young woman with an accident-induced amnesia, this movie is about a 20-year old woman by the name of Peaches who was desperate to get laid. So heres the story: Peaches (Siobahan Hunter) tries to score with her boyfriend (Peter North). Her mom calls down from her bedroom for the boyfriend to go home. Somehow (and Ive yet to understand why), he doesnt go out the door. He instead goes to the mothers bedroom. The mother is played by the very sultry and voluptuous Tracey Adams. And lets face it, SHE is the real star of this movie, because she gets naked and gets laid far more times in this story than anyone else. So while the boyfriend is hiding, the mother gets naked to get ready for bed. [read the full review]

Ten Little Indians is a great film to have come out of the 80s. It is a parody, yet takes on its own version of the story instead of just mimicking the original. The film has a great balance of sex and story as well as working in true comedy. [read the full review]

review from 5/6/2007:
Although described as a hardcore spoof of Charlie's Angels, this is actually a very dark, almost depressing film featuring outstanding performances from some of the most talented late 70s hardcore actors. The production values and atmosphere are also very effective. A very good film for those who just can't stand modern porn. [read the full review]

review from 2/8/2006:
Very "dark" plot including scenes of kidnapping, bondage and forced sex. The acting is fairly good although the A/V quality isn't the best (e.g. - some sex scenes substitute music for the actual sounds from the actors/actresses). This movie is famous for as lustful a lesbian scene as you will ever see. In it, Leslie Bovee eats, nay, devours Abigail Clayton's sweet, young pussy so voraciously, it borders on cannibalism. The camerawork is terrific as Abigail appears to gasp while Bovee firmly holds onto her squirming, orgasming body - feverishly sucking and tongue-lashing the pretty young actress' spasming pussy with all of her sexual energy until it actually seems that Clayton can take no more (this is one scene where the actual moans, groans and lip-smacking from the actresses would have added to the already volcanic nature of the action). Length: 84:20 Year: 1977 The Caballero dvd of A Coming Of Angels is presented in full-screen which doesnt appear to be correct because during the ending credits the names are cut off on the left and right of the screen, but during the rest of the movie you dont notice anything really being cut off. Unlike earlier Caballero dvds this one is on one track so you dont have those layer changes that cause the pauses, such as on Amanda By Night. The story to this movie is that Mark (Jamie Gillis) is an evil kidnapper who sells the women he kidnaps to various buyers. Before he does this though he and his evil sidekicks train the women how to be sexually submissive. This movie was meant to be a take off of Charlies Angels, with Carrie (Annette Haven), Jennifer (Abigail Clayton), and Robin (Leslie Bovee) playing the angels. Jennifer has been kidnapped by Mark and his gang and so the other two angels are out to find her and that is the basic plot to the movie. Robert (John Leslie) has a serious problem throughout the movie. [read the full review]

Taking one wacky, sex-filled call after another, a radio talk show host and therapist, Tracey Adams, attempts to aid her various, kinky callers with their sexual issues and concerns. Of course, as it turns out, the one whom Tracey really needs to help is herself. Such is the case in "Talk Dirty To Me 6", an overall-good, 1988 release from Dreamland and director Henri Pachard. NOTE: This is not your typical review. Others have done an excellent job reviewing the content, scenes, performances, etc. of this porn classic. This "review" concerns itself with how the DVD's contents compare with the complete, uncut original release version of the film or an early (before prior self-censorship) VHS version. The Ratings given refer either to the "original" version of the film (Performers, Plot, Sex, etc.) or to the DVD version (Extras, Value, etc.) and are relatively arbitrary. The important info is that which follows. PAMELA MANN DVD EDITS After doing a side-by-side, shot-by-shot comparison of the VCA DVD version of Henry Paris (Radley Metzgers) first hardcore porn classic, The Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann, with an old video that appears to have been made from an original release print of the film, it looks like only one major scene, plus a couple of minor recaps including that scene, have been edited and/or shortened for the Pamela Mann DVD. However, the edited scene is a major one, as will be detailed later. [read the full review]
