The Mitchell Brothers' "Grafenberg Spot" was a movie described in the book "Bottom Feeders" as a "six-day wonder shot to fund legal expenses". By the sounds of that description, you would think that the movie is a piece of shit. "The Grafenberg Spot", however is a quite watchable, and actually very entertaining film that while doesn't reach the standards of "Behind the Green Door" or "The Resurrection of Eve", is still a must-see in the adult genre. The cast in this movie are amazing. It is certainly a who's who of adult cinema in 1985. Ginger Lynn, Harry Reems, Annette Haven, John Holmes, Amber Lynn, Nina Hartley, Lili Marlene, Rick Savage. Traci Lords was in the original version of the film. Story tells of a comparative literature graduate named Leslie (played by Ginger), who has the habit of pissing in her lover's (Harry Reems) face while getting eaten out. Well, it does not disappoint anyone who expects a good sex flick, but it doesn't reach the category of masterpiece. Plus, it isn't a gonzo, so the scenes are a bit short. The performers, as I've said, are Euros, but they do their role very well. Chemistry is here openly better than many Euro flick, perhaps a good choice made by the director in these matters. There's a not well known Spanish girl called Celia Blanco, who plays a nurse, and she hasn't done many things, so if you want to see her, this is one of a few where she appears. Director Roy Karch apparently feels he might just win an Oscar if he continues using distracting, unflattering camera shots during the action. Case in point, fiery redhead Pason is giving a great blowjob to Steve Hatcher in the fourth scene. But Karch shoots the action through a beveled window, distracting this viewer completely. Innocence Wild Child is a typical Kalli Vanderhyden production. That is, lots of attractive talent in very sterile surroundings having sex while the camera person circles around them almost non-stop. Theres soft background music, making it a good candidate for the couples porn category. There are long strip teases and masturbation before the action begins in each scene. These can take up to 10 minutes, which causes me to reach for the FF button. The action usually takes place on a single couch or bed with a completely white background. This might add to the lack of warmth throughout the sex. And I get dizzy watching the action as the camera spins round and round the performers. Its not often a porno puts me to sleep. Silvias Spell #1 set a new record by doing it twice in the same afternoon. This period piece in set in (where else?) Europe, and it features beautiful Silvia Saint and a bevy of other beauties. But despite every girl getting drilled in the ass and taking a facial, the soft lighting and Muzak background in each scene kept me from staying alert. Slow is not the word for the pacing and the action; glacier-like best describes it. The plot is set during the Renaissance period, and all the costumes seem accurate. Problem: most of the girls dont remove their clothes during the sex. So heres a cute blonde getting drilled and her petticoat and corset hide most of her body. All that shows is her breasts. What, they didnt have hips and butts to admire in those days? Forget the plot. Its told in voiceover and its stupid (something about a royal family and an evil witch).
