The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I don’t think I heard a single background noise. The video is even more impressive than the audio despite a slightly soft feeling. It mixes full color and black and white footage for a very nice artistic effect, and makes low lit scenes look sexy and easy. There are a few shadows, but they don’t feel like they’re holding back the scenes.

Music: The music is very well done. It often has a darker feel that fits the movie very nicely, and changes in balance throughout the movie while rarely feeling like “porno music”. Capo’s music definitely helps out the scenes.

False Advertising: The cover states Over 2 Hours right about 6 Scenes. To me, that means the movie has six scenes and lasts over two hours, not that it lasts just over an hour forty and the extras take it over the two hour mark. I’m deducting a half point from the overall score because of this.

Menus: The main menu is nicely done, and works in some good animation. The chapter menu is very generic, however, and just lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature

Gothsend 2 continues the style that Guy Capo began with the original Gothsend. He’s dropped the girls talking about what they like about goth so they can go right to the fucking, but has kept the dark feeling and te goth styles.

Scene 1 - Deja Daire and Sascha

Deja starts things out in a black and red fetishy outfit complete with thigh high black boots fucking her pussy with a clear dildo. Scene 3 - Vandalia and Master Liam

Needless to say, to find your two main reasons in one of the six scenes in a movie was more than a little disappointing. I was also disappointed that the scene ended so abruptly. Katrina and Avy seemed like they still had plenty left to go in them, but since the porno timer went off they had to quit. Other than that, it was a pretty hot scene. The girls had great chemistry and delivered a passionate performance just like I’d expect from either of them. This is a pretty hot scene.

Scene 5 - Shayna Knight and Damian

The frequent stopping of the fucking so the girl could suck the guys cock also started to get really old here, and made me wonder if I hadn’t seen this scene a few times already in the movie. The only thing that helps this scene make it past the average mark is Shayna’s enthusiasm and the chemistry she has with Damian.

Scene 6 - Rachel Rotten and Rob Rotten

Unless you’re extremely into goth styles, which I’m not, Gothsend 2 is a pretty average fuck flick. There’s some decent sex here and there in the movie, but for the most part it seems very limited. The positions are so heavily into doggie and reverse cowgirl that I almost fell out of my chair when Rachel Rotten turned around to fuck Rob in the standard cowgirl during the final scene. The girls stopping fucking to suck cock repeatedly in each scene also got extremely old for me and left me reaching for my remote. On the plus side of things, I can’t deny that Guy Capo does have an artistic eye. I liked the camera angles he used throughout the scenes, and although there were a couple times I wished for a different camera angle they were few and far between. Guy Capo has a good eye for camera work and a nice balance between the music and the action, but that wasn’t enough to help Gothsend 2 get much past the average mark for me.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery contains about forty very nice looking snapshots and full screen photos. Trailers are included for Grudgefuck, Truly Nice Tits 7, Double Parked 10, and Sakura Tales 6. There’s also cumshot recaps, weblinks, a behind the scenes featurette, and solo scenes.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about three and a half minutes. Most of the footage here is just outtakes, and most of them are just little “who cares” types of outtakes. There’s also a bit of Master Lian talking about rope bondage as he ties up Shayna and a little fun with the Rottens. It’s a very forgettable behind the scenes featurette that’s easily skipped.

Solo scenes are included for each girl and last roughly twenty minutes total. They last between a little under two minutes for Katrina Kraven and Victoria Sin to about three and a half minutes for Deja Daire. While most of the girls just work on themselves naturally, Deja adds a glass dildo and fingers her ass a bit for her scene and Rachel talks to the camera for the best solo scene of the bunch. If you enjoyed the style of the movie, this should be a great extra for you.

Currently, many DVSX titles can be found online for between about $13 and $25 with many stores offering them for around $20. Unless you’re into goth styles or a big fan of Guy Capo, you might want to rent this one first. The sex is decent, but it’s definitely driven by style. The technical aspects show some very nice care, and there’s a bit of effort put into the extras. This is a decent movie on a pretty good DVD.

Note to DVSX: The solo scenes are a very nice touch. They’re be even nicer if you’d let the viewer know which scene goes with which star in the menu.
