review from 3/17/2017:
When the ladies are looking for a good time or to simply escape the mundane, there's only one place to go, and that's down to John Leslie's local, country-themed watering hole, where the sex flows as freely as the liquor and the pussy party's always on. Such is the case in "Urban Cowgirls", a very good, 1980 release from Caballero and director Tsanusdi. [read the full review]

review from 9/9/2017:
A frustrated, young housewife, the lovely Jesie St. James, finds her inhibitions quickly eroding away when she befriends the neighbor's daughter, Laurie Smith, who also works as a dancer and a prostitute at a local sex club. Of course, it doesn't help matters that Jesie's philandering hubby, Jon Martin, treats her like shit, ignores her sexually, and goes away on "business" far too frequently. So, when she encounters the club and all of its various trappings, a sexual powder keg is set to blow...and that's exactly what it does. Such is the case in "Indecent Pleasures", an overall-good, 1984 release from Caballero and director Phillip Gem. [read the full review]

review from 3/19/2012:
"Anal Security Squad (A.S.S)" (Caballero / Bruce Seven) is an unexpectedly exceptional production from the late-80s featuring the likes of Barbii, Fallon, Bionca, Nina DePonca, and Renee Morgan. In a nutshell, the A.S.S. is an instrument of a tyrannical government bent on prohibiting anal sex amongst its populace. Those who are caught enjoying the pleasures of the backside are imprisoned immediately and without due process. Barbii plays the role of an A.S.S. agent who, after going into deep cover in the "Underground", has seen the errors of her agency's ways and has decided to go rogue...aiding the very people whom she was sent to investigate and arrest. What results is a fun tale of the tail that has its ups and downs (and ins and outs) before closing on a high (and sexy) note. [read the full review]

"Prom Girls" is a very good (strong 4-star) late-80s film from director Alex DeRenzy that focuses on the high jinks of the students at an academy as they prepare for their upcoming prom...and also on the attempts of the mucky-mucks at the school to try to curtail their good times. What the viewer is treated to as this all progresses, of course, is a good deal of hot sex featuring both the students and administrators alike...most of whom are quite attractive and into their respective scenes. "Sex Games" is a fun little fuck-flick from the early 80s and Caballero that features Kevin James as a young horndog who, bored with his girlfriend, turns to the newfangled technology of computer dating to sate his carnal desires. Of course, given the date of the production, "computer dating" is a totally different affair in this release when compared with what the viewer may be used to from today. Indeed, Kevin's computer is ancient, and it simply uses a dial-up modem to interact with the dating agency's computer. Regardless, he still manages to "hack" their system, create a fake profile, and use the various ladies' details that he finds as scouting reports to get them in the sack. Ultimately, he gets found out, but it's not before he samples some high-end 80s quim...including the likes of the late, great Shauna Grant (rest her soul). [read the full review]

review from 7/5/2016:
Ball Game is a cheesy, corny, and fun adult film. The film entertains the viewer throughout and has some great sex scenes. All About Anal has a a top notch cast. Lauren Phoenix, Taylor Rain and Cameron Caine are all babes that semm to always give great performances. I was surprised that a movie with such a strong cast could get so little attention. I found it by chance at my local video store. Even though the title is All About Anal, its not an anal only movie like Mark Woods underrated series All About Ass. Theres some dialog before each scene and theres music in the background. Its shot like a Gonzo film, but it has the feel of a feature. All scenes are 1 on 1 and the same guy (Kyle Phillips) is in every scene. Hes an older guy thats overweight (If that bothers you..) I rate all scenes on a scale of 1 to 10. Ten is a perfect score Scene One (Lauren Phoenix) The scene starts with Lauren and the guy sitting on the couch. He wants sex and she wants to go out. He grabs at her, and causes her to bump her head and instantly she has amnesia and suddenly becomes horny. He briefly eats her before she sucks his cock. Lauren gives a great blowjob with good eye contact. [read the full review]

A feature from the early 80s. Kay Parker is a therapist brought in to coax withdrawn teen Tom Byron out of his shell. Mainly MF sex with one FF bathtub scene, one solo-female scene, and a brief j/o by Tom Byron. Your opinion will largely depend on whether you like Playboy or Hustler, as this is definitely the former. Sex is vanilla and not so explicit as modern stuff. Kay Parker is only in one sex scene. If people want to have sex for my entertainment, who am I not to watch them? That means, among other things, that I have absolutely nothing against "old school" porn. By the same token, however, I don't think "classic" movies are inherently better than what's made today. With that in mind, Blue Ribbon Blue presents itself as a greatest hits package of classic stars. Unfortunately, it's not. In fact, it was produced years ago before its performers were even considered legends, and its poor mastering reflect just how much of a thrown together effort it actually is. Had they known that it would be released in the 21st century, it's producers may have paid closer attention to what they included. [read the full review]

Most of what I wrote about "The Ecstasy Girls" also applies to this film. This is a 1982 Harold Lime production, directed by Robert McCallum. With Veronica Hart and Annette Haven, there's more star power in this flick, but the final product is not quite as good as the wonderful "Ecstasy Girls." The plot is "Ecstasy Girls" in reverse. Here, Georgina Spelvin is the publisher of a soft-core porn mag called "Panther," featuring centerfolds of smart college girls. Some morality guardians form a committee called Morality over Madness (MOM), and try to put Panther out of business. Spelvin has to round up her centerfold graduates to go out and seduce the committee members, retain evidence of the hanky-panky, and ultimately blackmail the members into ceasing their assault on Panther magazine. The video is average and the audio echoes in spots, but is much better than other adult films of this age, such as the Original Debbie Does Dallas. The Review: Centerspread Girls kind of reminds me of my youth. It revolves around MOM trying to stop porn (or at least not let me have it). In this case, MOM is Morality Over Madness, a moral majority group which has been trying to shut down Panther magazine for years. [read the full review]

"The Violation of Tori Welles" is a good 1990 release from Caballero that’s essentially a compilation and that brings with it something of a bizarre twist. Weaving the various scenes together is an interspersed sequence of an intruder who’s apparently broken into Tori’s home. He rifles through her photos, magazines, and pictures…and he watches her videos, touches her AVN award, and ultimately sniffs and steals a pair of her panties. All of this is inter-cut between the five segments that make up the disc. [read the full review]

She is looking very scrumptious here and fans of Zara will appreciate this extended scene. Peter North appears and Zara immediately gives his ample member a little tongue bath. This is a very extended blow job starting with Peter out of the tub with clothes on, then he is in the tub with clothes on, then finally he is naked. Zara does a good job of pumping and sucking his timber here. Peter eventually returns the favor with some cunnilingus on the edge of the tub before giving her a little Doggie. [read the full review]

Running Time: 1:15 Director: The case lists Henri Pachard, but the movie lists Jackson St. Louis. Cast: Diedre Holland, Debi Diamond, Melanie Moore, Shaunna, Jenna Wells, Jon Dough, Joey Silvera, and Tom Byron Extras: Photo Gallery, Scene Selection, 800 numbers, and web site. Nothing special except the scene selections, which is the only way to jump ahead in the movie. Yes, another Caballero release with no chapters or time code. Audio Quality: Poor. I had a hard time understanding what little dialogue there was. Some of this was due to the poor balance between the music and talking. You also could hear a lot of background sounds. Video Quality: Average. [read the full review]

review from 9/13/2016:
A simple call from a shady and manipulative ex-lover, Jamie Gillis, for a pair of hookers to service a high-end client goes horribly wrong for a madam with a heart of gold, Veronica Hart, when one of the two ladies meets her untimely demise in a swimming pool whilst on the job. Quickly, and despite trying to get out of the skin trade, Veronica finds herself buried deeper and deeper in a high stakes game of drugs, sex, and murder that can end in only one of two ways for the unsuspecting young woman...and only one of them is good. Such is the case in "Amanda By Night", a phenomenal, 1981 release from Caballero and director Robert McCallum. [read the full review]

One of the best American hardcore films ever made (by director Gary Graver) has been given a TERRIBLE DVD release by Caballero. A true genre masterpiece which features masterful performances from Veronica Hart, Richard Bolla, and especially Lisa DeLeeuw and Samantha Fox. A superior film in every respect which deserves a lot more than it has gotten on DVD. For that reason, pay more and get an old VHS. [read the full review]

review from 3/7/2003:
Here is a Harold Lime/Robert McCallum classic from 1982 that is still famous over 20 years later. It won six adult film critic awards, including best picture. Because it was filmed near the end of the "golden age," there aren't quite as many exterior shots as there would have been in movies a few years older. The plot involves a madam named Amanda (Veronica Hart) who, as a favor to her former pimp and lover (Jamie Gillis), sets up an S & M session for a local politician. The girls that she sends for this session (Lisa de Leeuw and Samantha Fox) are later found dead. R. Bolla plays the straight-arrow homicide detective trying to solve the case, without much help from Amanda. To make matters worse, there's a corrupt vice squad cop (Ron Jeremy) who is constantly getting in the way. By today's standards, this is couples' fare, with relatively short sex scenes, and loads of plot. It's so good-hearted, it could almost be on the Family Channel. Veronica Hart gets to over-act and ham it up ridiculously. It's a good movie, but a poor DVD. [read the full review]

Running Time: approx. 85 min. Production Date: 1992 Director: Andrew Blake Cast: Tori Welles, Porsche Lynn, Jamie Summers, Paula Price, Heater Lere, Nina Alexander, Erica Boyer, Cameo, Tami Monroe, Lauren Hall, Racquel Darrian, Zara Whites, Jeanna Fine, Veronica Dol, Valerie Stone, Ashlyn Gere, Ashley Lauren, Nichole (Nikki) Wilde, Krystina King, Derrick Lane, Randy West, and Randy Spears with a few other guys in non - sex roles. Initial Expectations: Andrew Blake has great artistic vision, so I expect the movie to be excellent. Unfortunately, Im not expecting Caballero to give it the treatment it deserves. Initial Reaction: As a compilation DVD, the feature itself is pretty good. Unfortunately, Caballero has given this DVD one of the worst treatments Ive ever seen. Audio /Video Quality: The audio quality is pretty good, but the video quality leaves a lot to be desired. It ranges anywhere from average to are those people or farm animals having sex?. The year is 1990, and in Beverly Hills, first-class beaver is Ashlyn Gere''s business...and business is booming. Of course, running a high-end escort service for the elite and the wealthy comes with certain unique risks and eventualities, a fact of which Ashlyn is keenly aware. So goes "Secrets", a beautifully captured and tastefully erotic--though still exceedingly hot--release from director Andrew Blake and Caballero. [read the full review]

review from 7/2/2001:
Well this was a recommended title I was put onto recently as I was looking for a good Zara White facial. This movie is a typical Andrew Blake style movie except there is more b/g sex than I have seen in the other films of his I have seen but I have only seen a handful so there that is but I quite enjoyed this one. It features the lovely Ashlyn Gere in a great role for her. She is riding around in a limo playing with herself in between the sex scenes. Rather than bore you with plot details which I don't really care about let's get to the sex. I will hit the points I really enjoyed in this film and there were many. It starts off with Zara being a voyeur while I believe it was 5 girls get in on with a guy in a room in another building. [read the full review]

Running Time: 88 min. Production Date: 1990 Director: Andrew Blake Cast: Ashlyn Gere, Zara Whites, Jeanna Fine, Kristen, Fallon, Danielle Rodgers, Samantha Strong, Sunny McKay, Nina Alexander, Krystina King, Sabre, Valerie Stone, Nicole Wild, Sheika, Jon Dough, Peter North, Randy West, Rocco Siffredi, Brian Cheeks Williams, and Jerry Ginz Initial Expectations: This is my first Andrew Blake film, but I havent heard a bad thing about his films. I have, however heard horrible things about Caballeros transfer. Initial Reaction: Wow. Now I know why there is always a tone of reverence whenever Andrew Blakes name is mentioned. The transfer definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but Ive seen a lot worse. Audio /Video Quality: The video is better than I expected, but the audio is much worse. The video is very soft and slightly grainy. I dont know why, but it worked for me. Maybe it added to some of the artistic feel. For some reason, I dont think a crystal clear picture would have been as good for Secrets. [read the full review]

Unable to grasp the raw sexuality fervently bubbling up and manifesting itself in her erotic dreams, a young woman (Tori Welles) seeks out the aid of a pair of cutting-edge psychologists (Randy Spears and Porsche Lynn) whose dream-viewing machine may be just the ticket to helping her realize her full, fornicating potential. Of course, along the way, Tori's put through her pornographic paces, as she diddles up a storm and whilst her vibrant visions flash across the laboratory's screen. Such is the case in "Night Trips", an overall-good, 1989 release form Caballero and director Andrew Blake. [read the full review]

Starring : Tori Welles, Jamie Summers, Porsche Lynn, Randy Spears, Peter North etc. Directed, photographed, edited and written by : Andrew Blake Running Time : 74 Minutes Review : One of the best-known films of Andrew Blake (and yes, this is shot on glorious 35mm), Night Trips is also his first hardcore outing. All the typical Blake trademarks are here : Fast cutting, beautiful women who are heavily made up and costumized (though less excessively here than usual), and great cinematography and lighting. Indeed, after having been let down by EVERY shot- on-film feature, this was the first that was both properly developed (no extreme grain or bad color correction) and really well shot. Night Trips 2 is an excellent film for viewers that like arty and tame sex. Although there is a minute plot, the imagery is the reason to watch this film. Despite the very poor transfer and the authoring problems, the film is not unwatchable and fans of Andrew Blake's work will still want to pick this disc up. Viewers that are new to Andrew Blake may want to seek out a film that has been given better treatment on DVD and hope that this one gets the release it deserves one day. [read the full review]

Writer/Director: Andrew Blake Videographer: Andrew Blake Running length: 75 min. D.O.P. 1990 Female cast: Paula Price, Brianna, Erica Boyer, Bridgette Monroe, Tami Monroe, Racquel Darrian, Cameo, Cheri Taylor, Lauren Hall, Nina Alexander Male cast: Randy Spears, Jon Dough, Randy West, Eric Price, Derrick Lane Audio/Video: Parts of it were real grainy, mainly the dream sequences, but I expected that. The audio was fine. Extras: Um.. The Movie: Paula Price thinks she has a problem just because she can't stop thinking about sex and masturbates constantly.. Welcome to the club Paula, but right away I can see what the problem is. This woman needs to get off! And the way she half-heartedly walks around touching herself and rubbing up against doorknobs isn't the way to do it. But it looks artistic and sexy. That's what Andrew Blake is all about, and no one does better. How nice it is not to have to fast forward through all the double and triple penetrations, or fight a wave of nausea as someone proudly displays an asshole resembling the Grand Canyon. Starring: Paula Price, Racquel Darrian, Bridgette Monroe, Erica Boyer, Tammy Monroe, Cameo, Brianna, Cheri Taylor, Lauren Hall, Nina Alexander, Jon Dough, Randy West, Randy Spears, Eric Price, Derrick Lane Pros: Racquel's Ass!!!, plot about a girl who touches herself alot, she is so insatiable she rubs her clit on a doorknob(now selling on E- Bay;)), lace, high heels, directed by Andrew Blake Cons: poor Audio/Video, every track is somehow the first track, no chick ID, Erica Boyer's penis envy Plot: A chick touches herself alot and seeks professional help from people who have a machine that reads her thoughts as she sleeps. Note: Since Principal Skinner has already given most of the details of the DVD, my review is not highly detailed. I am merely going to offer my basic perceptions. So when you finally get that Corvette Stingray you have been dreaming about all these years, do you think you will paint it in white and black like a cow? Or how about coat it in astro terf? With one of their bosses as a predatory a-hole (Herschel Savage) and the other a heartless, selfish bitch (Juliet Anderson), Annette Haven and the girls of the Osborne Insurance Office take matters into their own hands. review from 10/24/2004:
Films like this built the reputation of the "golden age" of adult, i.e., the years 1975 through 1982. This 1981 film is, of course, a spoof on the 1980 mainstream film "9 to 5" that starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman. In the adult version their parts are play by Loni Sanders, Annette Haven, Lisa DeLeew, and Herschel Savage. There's even a very nice theme song take-off on the famous Dolly Parton song that went with the mainstream movie. Plot and acting are superior to most seen today, and the sex scenes not only fit the plot, they advance the plot. Although the sex is by today's standards strictly couples fare, this is still a very hot movie and well worthwhile. Technically the disc is quite good, although the reverse angle gimmick was simply annoying. The video quality and audio are very good, given the age of the source material. [read the full review]
