Review brief: Expectations This is the third DVD I am watching from this fledgling company. The two I have already reviewed were both surprisingly strong releases. Therefore I am really looking forward to this one, especially since the theme is right up my alley - Double Penetrations. Capsule Review Wow! In just three releases this studio has really come into their own. This release is as strong as most of the Red Light District DVDs I've reviewed, and almost as good as Anabolic. I will no longer refer to DVSX as a startup company... they are now a force to be reckoned with! Technical As in the previous two DVSX releases, the audio, video, mastering and lighting are very strong. The menus are professional and attractive. The sets are good and the wardrobe is attractive, as is the makeup. Review brief: I wish I knew what the original French title was for this film because Im sure it was nowhere near A Knight in Paris. There are no knights and no knightly behavior. The characters here are all underworld types: hustlers, pimps, housebreakers, jewel thieves. No one is a good guy, but there are good bad guys and a bad bad guy. It begins with a young guy returning to his lover/partner in crime from a successful bit of thievery. He tosses his loot and himself onto the bed and a nicely passionate bit of sex ensues. Being French they are both naturally uncut. The returning thief has shaved an inch or so of his pubic hair above the dick making it appear larger. His ami is slender with raven hair. Review brief: Like Leisure Time's other feature, "Amateur Video - Public Sex In California", Public Pleasures is another limp effort to cash in on current popularity. This 4 hour DVD contains 18 scenes...about 2 scenes in which chancy public sex is involved (and even those, I'm not so sure about). The first 2 scenes depict the same woman stripping down and masturbating in a parking lot, then in a back alley. The camera pans around to show nearby cars and building, in an effort to portray authenticity. No other people are in sight...which leads me to believe these areas are pretty secluded, and the participants have no real chance of being caught. The rest of the feature contains mostly old footage from various other porn flicks. It's mainly a "greatest hits" of videos featuring sex outdoors...but not depicting any true element of risk. The bottom line: These are not "secret videos...of ordinary people" as it states on the cover.

Review brief: Yet another disappointment from Leisure Time. I suppose in the competition to get out a product that's "trendy", there will be plenty of sub-par items to choose from. This video is a prime example. Amateur Video...Public flashing..? Not really. While most scenes in this feature take place outdoors, it's obvious the taping is being done in secluded areas. Really no risk-taking here, which takes the fun out of what we're expecting. Much of the footage is even recycled from old porn movies...like from the 80s (check the poofy doos on the chicks). I give a zero for audio quality, as it is badly dubbed. I guess many studios do this ensure background noise is filtered out for clearer audio. What a shame...I'd much rather take my chances and hear the authentic moans, screams, etc...even if I have to put up with a little extra noise. The bottom line: This 4 hr DVD is nothing special and not what it is advertised to be. The women are fairly attractive and most of the scenes contain enthusiastic performances...but again, the footage is not true to it's description.

The video has some shakiness and uneven lighting and shadows, as well as light reflections and specks of dirt that were on the camera. Theres also a varying amount of grain from scene to scene, with some of it being very pixelized.

Review brief: While pople who have never seen a Michael Ninn film before will be favorably be impressed by Perfect, fans of Ninn may feel let down. At least I did. The new technology has not been used imaginatively. The overall look of the film is far superior to most porn, but it is not up to the standard set in the best porno of all time, Ninn's Shock, and his other geat, Dark Garden (and even Ninn's somewhat bizarre, David Lynch meets porn, Ritual or the more playful and very hot Cashmere). Ninn has basically trademarked himself, using the same kind of music, for example, and visual look. The plot is basically non-existent, with a few, repeated voice overs that sound bloated. The cinematography is good, but not as good as Shock or Dark Garden, and the talent, while good enough, just isn't as good as the babes of the earlier films, in my view. Even the sex is less adventurous, confined for the most part to women on women (they're very beautiful, but what happened to all those amazing Euro babes like Vicca and Lea Martini?).

This 4 hour DVD contains 18 scenes...about 2 scenes in which chancy public sex is involved (and even those, I'm not so sure about). The first 2 scenes depict the same woman stripping down and masturbating in a parking lot, then in a back alley. The camera pans around to show nearby cars and building, in an effort to portray authenticity. No other people are in sight...which leads me to believe these areas are pretty secluded, and the participants have no real chance of being caught. The rest of the feature contains mostly old footage from various other porn flicks. It's mainly a "greatest hits" of videos featuring sex outdoors...but not depicting any true element of risk. The bottom line: These are not "secret videos...of ordinary people" as it states on the cover.

This video is a prime example. Amateur Video...Public flashing..? Not really. While most scenes in this feature take place outdoors, it's obvious the taping is being done in secluded areas. Really no risk-taking here, which takes the fun out of what we're expecting. Much of the footage is even recycled from old porn movies...like from the 80s (check the poofy doos on the chicks). I give a zero for audio quality, as it is badly dubbed. I guess many studios do this ensure background noise is filtered out for clearer audio. What a shame...I'd much rather take my chances and hear the authentic moans, screams, etc...even if I have to put up with a little extra noise. The bottom line: This 4 hr DVD is nothing special and not what it is advertised to be. Review brief: DVSX is a newer studio on the block but they have come out swinging with several series and the one here deals with the female posterior or booty if you will. Director Bryan Xin has found 7 lovely ladies to show off their asses and he leads off with the delicious Malorie Marx. So, when I saw that Wicked had created a feature starring Devinn Lane that was all about women in costumes, I knew I had to check it out! Capsule Review What a great feature flic! The setting is Puerto Rico and all through the film the background music is Latin songs that appear to be from old 78s and sung by the chipmunks. Review brief: While pople who have never seen a Michael Ninn film before will be favorably be impressed by Perfect, fans of Ninn may feel let down. At least I did. The new technology has not been used imaginatively. The overall look of the film is far superior to most porn, but it is not up to the standard set in the best porno of all time, Ninn's Shock, and his other geat, Dark Garden (and even Ninn's somewhat bizarre, David Lynch meets porn, Ritual or the more playful and very hot Cashmere). Ninn has basically trademarked himself, using the same kind of music, for example, and visual look. The plot is basically non-existent, with a few, repeated voice overs that sound bloated. The cinematography is good, but not as good as Shock or Dark Garden, and the talent, while good enough, just isn't as good as the babes of the earlier films, in my view. Even the sex is less adventurous, confined for the most part to women on women (they're very beautiful, but what happened to all those amazing Euro babes like Vicca and Lea Martini?).
