While I've
had a break from the series, Private have continued the DVD re-issue of
Woodman's self-explanatory Castings series at a rate of knots. No change
in the formula, of course, as Castings 14 provides the usual mixture of
girls in interview and glimpses of them at work for Private, in videos
and photo shoots.
Krisztina Schwartz
The first sight of this Hungarian brunette, who went on to work extensively
for Private, sees the plain but pretty hairdresser openly admit she's
in it for the money, but there's a genuineness about her genial smile,
especially when she readily admits lesbian tendencies and an interest
in masochism. The interview concludes with Krisztina stripping, displaying
a lovely slim, tanned body, before we see her in action in a scene from
The Pyramid 2. Akim, AKA Alain Deloin, has her sucking his dick in the
midst of a harem full of writhing lovelies, before he bangs her pussy
and ass. Krisztina tosses him off into another girl's mouth, but this
seems like a somewhat shortened version of the scene.
Next, it's on location at a photo shoot where Krisztina demonstrates her

Obviously that was before she saw the miniscule pay cheque! Lots of spunk

Françoise
Having taken in all of the coverage Françoise receives here, I am tempted
to say this elfin Russian beauty, a model all of 21 years old, is one
of the most attractive girls in the series, to my mind anyway - she's
up there with Blondie and Lolita. There's a certain sense of unease about
Pierre's ruthless pursuit of these Russian dolls, but I can't deny that
I simply wanted to see her doing it. And that's shown in a pair of photo
shoots following the interview - both in a tropical hot spot (Bali? The
Seychelles?). In each, Françoise looks absolutely exquisite - somewhat
reminiscent of current favourite Alissa - taking on two and then three
guys for anal, double penetration and facials. Naturally, the sex suffers
from the constant posing for photos, but it's worth seeing just for this
girl.
In an interview that slightly suffers from some rather loose translations
of what is said, she seems cool and reserved but her admission that she
has an idea what Pierre is about and her confession of sexual activity
broader than one might have expected hint at hidden depths. There's some
misunderstanding of her attitude to sex and porn, but once it's all cleared
up she eventually shows a fabulous slim body that, quite inexplicably,
she has a complex about, apparently due to some idiot boyfriend. Firm,
high breasts, slender waist, gently flaring hips and a pert bum - as Pierre
says himself, it's perfect. Françoise is just an angel.

Pearl
Some contrast, then, to Pearl, a much more upfront individual. She's a
pretty, dark haired and fine featured French politics student whose fancy
black pattered tights appeal to me, her confession, however honest, that
she's only in it for the money less so. As Pierre verbally probes her
about sex, she almost casually tosses in a revelation that her "experience"
of anal sex came through being raped. Pierre weakly responds that we better
not talk about that. Yes, let's just stick to the fantasy world.
To that end, after Pearl has concluded the interview by stripping (she
has sizeable boobs, full hips and a slightly dimpled big bum) and posing,
as Pierre requires, the action shifts to a photo shoot. However, the footage
is of such execrable quality that it's not worth bothering with. Somewhere
amid the storm of snow and picture break up, Pearl takes on four guys
in typical fashion, but the crappy video camera can't cope with the rapid
flash used to capture the stills of the come shots. All in all, a waste
of time.

Patricia
This 20-year-old, wholesome looking Hungarian blonde is already looking
at a selection of Pierre's magazines (the usual tactic in these castings
when it comes to breaching the subject of S-E-X…). She seems to know what
it's all about, agreeing to multi-partner and girl-girl scenes, as well
as anal, but refusing DP. I suspect the unusually verbose interpreter
(a man, rather than Gabriella, who usually does these Hungarian interviews)
has an undue influence on proceedings - he certainly has too much to say
for himself as Patricia strips to show a fine body. A nasty tattoo detracts

Coverage of a photo shoot seems to be a snapshot of Patricia's total contribution
to the Private canon. Set in a restaurant, the location clip sees her

after all. Two things of note here, besides - first, just how bored the
guys look on a shoot of this type, as no real sex takes place, just posed
shots. Second, and better, is the wide-eyed look on Patricia's face as

This is an interesting interview, in two parts. After an interruption
by Tania Russof, once underway the first sees the young and slightly uneasy
Russian Julia (who gives her name as Ines) expressing some interest in
working for Pierre, but feeling unable to do so at that point. Then, some
months later, in a second interview, Julia shows off a new, sexy image
that's refined her rather strong, slightly ethnic looks as well as a greatly
improved command of English. I am not sure I find her totally attractive,
but her attitude is charming and it's clear that she's given the matter
a lot of careful consideration (which is a great relief to guilty consciences
about enjoying this stuff). She's clearly ready to do the job now, detailing
some sexual fantasies as well as highlighting another negative anal experience.
She's also able to show her body - lovely and slim, though she's another
with a totally unjustified complex about having a tummy!
Then it's time for Julia to get into action, with a sex scene from Cape
Town, as she gets a mouthful of Philippe Soine's dick, before he slips
into her vagina. The leggy girl's body looks delightful during some lusty

Apart from just accepting it and enjoying it for its own sake, I really
don't know what to make of this scene with blonde, tanned 18-year-old
Colette, all doe-eyes and baby soft boobs. She's a high-school student
who'd like to do some photos, but porn is definitely not on her agenda.
Like virtually every other casting I've seen that Woodman did around this
time, in this room (casting for Tatiana), the girl proves to be reluctant
to the point of wanting to leave, needs off-camera persuasion to go on,

cast, the auditions must have taken months at this rate!

Overall
After a short break, it's a pleasure to pick up my acquaintance with the
series, with a good volume that features some really lovely girls, some
interesting interviews (which often tell us more about Pierre than the
girl in question) though some of the photo shoot coverage is of marginal
interest. Françoise is a treasure, Julia Spain intrigues, Krisztina delights,
and Zsanett just teases! The mileage you'll get from this entirely depends
on your interest in Private starlets, but this is diverting viewing without
ever being totally enthralling.
DVD Comments
As is always the case with this series, the picture quality on the photo
shoot reportage is patchy (some good, some bad) but that goes with the
territory, and sometimes you have to live with it if you want to get behind
the scenes. The sound is okay, nothing special. There are English (a "live"
audio track without dubbed translation to be exact), French and German
audio options, with English also among a half-dozen subtitle languages
too. Interesting to note the variance between the English audio and subtitles
- there are some serious inaccuracies, and sometimes they just make it
up! The packaging of the extras on this series is a strong point. Each
girl has a profile page, linked to her casting scene and stills set (where
available), and detailing her appearances for Private. There's also a
set of stills of Woodman on location, plus notes on each scene. There
are some trailers too. The DVD-Rom section has been revamped - a smaller
catalogue section with still pics, plus a standard selection of wallpaper
pics.
