EAST MEETS WEST 2, a 2000 release from VCA Interactive, does for asian female stereotypes what David Spade does for modern cinema. While the depiction of asian female characters in EMW2 doesn't quite rank up there with portrayals of asians like Kato from the "Pink Panther" films or the slanty-eyed, buck-toothed, English language mangling Mr. Wong from the now defunct Icebox.com cartoon website, I'm sure that the filmmakers would be well advised to make sure this flick doesn't fall into the hands of any local asian activist groups. EAST MEETS WEST 2, a 2000 release from VCA Interactive, does for asian female stereotypes what David Spade does for modern cinema. While the depiction of asian female characters in EMW2 doesn't quite rank up there with portrayals of asians like Kato from the "Pink Panther" films or the slanty-eyed, buck-toothed, English language mangling Mr. Wong from the now defunct Icebox.com cartoon website, I'm sure that the filmmakers would be well advised to make sure this flick doesn't fall into the hands of any local asian activist groups.
