review from 7/1/2019:
Having pissed off a group of poker-playing hicks, a rough-and-tumble biker gang, and a couple of low-rent mobsters, two unemployed, wannabe cowboys (Rick Lutze and Paul Thomas) and a young, runaway bride (Amber Hunt) find themselves on the run and in hiding. Whether their constant string of good-for-nothin' shenanigans has finally caught up with them or whether they'll escape and live happily ever after remains to be seen, but--either way--the one thing that's for certain is that there will be a heapin' helpin' of hot and horny fucking along the way. Such is the case in "Lipps and McCain", an overall-good, 1978 release from director Bob Chinn and Alpha Blue Archives. [read the full review]

5 Films 5 Years Volume 1: Golden Age Erotica is an excellent limited edition Blu-ray collection of five classic adult films. The set contains Too Naughty to Say No, Hot and Saucy Pizza Girls, The Ribald Tales of Canterbury, Prisoner of Paradise, and Dixie Ray Hollywood Star. The films on the release span from 1978 to 1985 and, honestly, fans of golden age adult films should find several to their liking, even if not all of the films included are favorites. None of the films on this release have ever looked better on home video and 5 Films 5 Years Volume 1: Golden Age Erotica is definitely worth picking up before it is sold out. [read the full review]

An already-bereft, World War 2 Navy man, John Holmes, finds himself stranded and fending for himself on a near-deserted island in the South Pacific after his ship goes down out at sea. Compounding his problems, he soon discovers that he's not alone in this "paradise", as the Nazis have set up a small, nearby radio-monitoring camp staffed by a pervy, lushy letch of a commander and his two carnal-crazy fraulein underlings. In attempting to rescue a pair of nurses also held captive at the camp, Holmes soon finds himself both a prisoner, as well, and at the mercy of this kinky, sadistic, Hitler-obsessed crew. Such is the case in "Prisoner of Paradise", a very good re-release from Vinegar Syndrome and directors Gail Palmer and Bob Chinn. [read the full review]

review from 10/17/2009:
Wacky classic feature about two elevator repairmen, Ralph and Morton, who get up to all manner of sexual hijinx with various women. A young, rich woman goes missing, and it falls to a low-rent private investigator, Johnny Wadd (played by the legendary John Holmes), to find and ultimately save her from the clutches of a down and dirty, no good kidnapper. Of course, along the way, subterfuge, chicanery, and greed are all served up in spades...as is a strong side of fucking. All my old movies mags state that “Johnny Wadd” is to John Homes as James Bond is to Shawn Connery, but for years I have never been able to verify this analogy. Nothing but trouble (...and sex...) follows, when Johnny Wadd (John Holmes) is called down to Mexico to help his old war buddy (Damon Christian) take on a drug dealer who's married Damon's junkie ex-wife (Veronica Taylor). Such is the case in "Tell Them Johnny Wadd is Here", a tepid 1976 release from Arrow Productions. While the plot is fairly good for a porno of its era (...despite its narrated storyline motif and jumpiness at times...), and there's a decent amount of cheesy, shoot-'em-up style action, the sex itself is incredibly tame...especially given that the legendary cocksman, Holmes, is involved. Indeed, there's plenty of fine fucking to be found in releases from the time period, just not here. There are also better plots from the era, as well. [read the full review]

Overall, Tell Them Johnny Wadd is Here is an average adult film. Viewers that are new to the series will probably want to check out some of the better entries first as this film may not want them to see the rest of the Johnny Wadd series. review from 11/16/2004:
With all the talk about rape scenes being taboo now in porn, it's interesting to note that "Little Orphan Dusty" (from the 1970's) is still available, with at least three flat-out rape scenes. The movie, in fact, begins with a major rape scene. Dusty (the actress is a dead-ringer for Farrah Fawcett back when she was on "Charlie's Angels") is walking down the road, when a group of Hells Angels types on motorcycles pull up to her. She seems happy to see them at first, but when one of them pulls at her blouse, she gets the idea that they're not very nice guys and makes a run for it. The bikers chase her through the woods, whooping it up, and eventually corner her in a clearing. Dusty is laid out on top of one of the motorbikes, while a group of bikers hold down her arms and legs (and a lone female biker watches from a distance). The leader of the gang takes out a knife and cuts off her panties, then the others rip off all of her clothes (while she screams "No! No!" to no avail), leaving her nude (and virtually spread-eagle) atop the bike. [read the full review]

review from 8/22/2004:
This 1978 golden age classic by Bob Chinn is a lot of good, dirty fun. The set is convincing, and many have thought it was shot in a hospital although it was really shot on a sound stage in San Francisco. The acting is reasonably good, although the plot isn't complicated: a bunch of hospital patients who are more horny than sick, and three candy stripers willing to serve any way they can, including sexually. Many have commented that the women in classic porn are not as good looking as today's crop. Although that is generally true, Amber Hunt, for example, could hold her own even in today's porn biz. Arrow has done an outstanding job restoring sound and picture, and one of the cutest things about this movie is the song that was composed and performed for it. The fact that golden age adult films frequently had a song written specifically for them is one of the things that separates them from the current industry. [read the full review]

review from 12/18/2003:
NOTE: This is not your typical review. Others have done an excellent job reviewing the content, scenes, performances, etc. of this porn classic. This "review" concerns itself with how the DVD's contents compare with the complete, uncut original release version of the film or an early (before prior self-censorship) VHS version. The Ratings given refer either to the "original" version of the film (Performers, Plot, Sex, etc.) or to the DVD version (Extras, Value, etc.) and are relatively arbitrary. The important info is that which follows. CANDY STRIPERS ALL THERE Bob Chinns 1978 classic, Candy Stripers has been brought to DVD by Arrow Films, who has done a great job of restoring the film as well as giving us ALL of it (sort of). For those who havent heard, there are two infamous scenes in the film (both involving fisting) that have long been cut out for fear of the dreaded porn police. Both scenes are present on the DVD, but not in their original positions in the complete film, which remains edited in this presentation. [read the full review]

review from 5/21/2006:
I heard so many good things about Taxi Girls before I saw it. But, of course when I eventually saw it, well, I was less than satisfied. The premises is promising enough: hookers form a taxi company with the added bonus of sex, but when the film gets down to it, there's just too much sex. Characters and characterization is sacrificed on the alter of carnality. Promising subplots are thrown out in exchanged for excess screwing. There are a few amusing moments, but the film wastes its excellent cast, among them the always welcome Serena and the magnificent Nanci Suiter on material more suited for a perverse elementary school play. Jaacov Jaacovi isn't a bad director technically, but he just doesn't seem to know when a scene has gotten tiresome and repetitive and he must move on. [read the full review]

Although Taxi Girls has several elements going for it, the end result is less than perfect. Fans of one of the stars may want to pick up this title for that reason, but due to the coercion scene at the end of the film, which ruins the light hearted feel of the film I have trouble recommending this film to any particular group. Viewers that hate a porn with their plot, like one on one sex scenes or hate the style of earlier sex scenes will want to avoid this film. Viewers that like porn with a plot and don't have a problem with coercion might want to give this film a chance. [read the full review]

Wicked Pictures Proudly Presents A Bob Chinn Feature Presentation The Spa Starring Stephanie Swift, Tina Cheri, Temptress, Devinn Lane, Regan Starr, Gauge, Alexxxis Tyler, with Erik Everhard, Brick Majors, Devin Wolf, Dale Dabone, and Billy Glide. Directed by Bob Chinn Stephanie pulls her convertible up to Erik, whos playing a valet, with Tina Cheri on the passenger side, and when they get out, he makes up an excuse for Stephanie to come with him, so Tina walks on. He asks her where she was last night, and pulls her to a back room when she answers. Stephanie is looking hot, wearing a tiny black top, and long black skirt that flies up when she sits down on a chair, with Erik on top of her, kissing her. He works his way briefly over her pointy nipples and down to her pussy, giving her a good amount of oral, which she then returns onto him, after we see Tina telling two receptionists that the business with the valet seems to be taking a long time today. Although The Spa is not an awful film, it is also not a great film. If you are a hardened fan of the director, cast or film itself, you'll probably want to pick this title up. If you are not, this is a good one to pass up purchasing, although you might want to think about giving it a rental. The Spa should be enjoyed most by couples and viewers that like a plot with their porn. Viewers who hate a plot with a passion or require anal or nastier sex will definitely want to pass on this one. I always go in with high expectations, and theyve rarely disappointed me. Initial Reaction: Its a nice little piece of fluff, but nothing too special. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants couples friendly porn without much plot Who Should Avoid It: Raincoaters and anybody who wants a lot of plot or more extreme sex Audio /Video Quality: Wicked is well known for having one of the best transfers around, and The Spa isnt any different. The audio is clear and well balanced without any signs of dubbing. The video is much the same way, and continues clearly out to the edge of the screen. [read the full review]

review from 5/14/2002:
Overall, not the best film to have come from New Era's studios. The sex is fun to watch but the plot is frankly rather boring. The sex is slightly harder than Bob Chinn's usual for New Era, which is a nice change. If you like the cast and Bob Chinn's style you might consider picking it up if you can find it on sale, other than that I would pass on this one. [read the full review]

review from 5/7/2002:
Satin and Sabotage is a lighthearted film in line with Chinn's earlier New Era films. If you have enjoyed previous New Era films or Bob Chinn's original Johnny Wadd series from the 70s, you will probably enjoy this one as well. If you are looking for nastier sex or hate a plot, this is a film to avoid. [read the full review]

review from 4/10/2002:
Young and Dangerous is well done for a modern adult film, but will leave fans of the classics wanting more from the film. Those who like a plot in their adult film will be satisfied by this venture. Those who can't stand a plot or like nastier sex will most likely be disappointed. This film is a good rental/purchase for couples as well. [read the full review]

Scene 1: Joel Lawrence Joel is a detective. He wakes up after having a nightmare and has sex with his girlfriend (a beautiful blonde) oral and vaginal, no anal. Very nice scene. Scene 2: Lesbians Joels girlfriend meets her girlfriend and they deliver a great lesbian scene with lots of licking and fingering. The girls are beautiful, their lesbian sex is warm. Nice job, girls!!! Scene 3: Joel and Lola Lola is Joels major client. She asks him to find a killer of guy murdered 10 years ago, and they have great oral and vaginal sex after that.
