Synopsis:
John Wolfe (Joel Lawrence), Private Investigator, keeps seeing a picture from Johnny Wadd's (John Holmes) funeral. Wolfe is hired to solve and ancient murder that keeps leading him back to Johnny Wadd.

Video/Audio:
Re-Enter Johnny Wadd is presented in the full frame aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. The picture for the film, which appears to have been filmed on video, is flawless with no artifacts, blemishes or other marks of any kind. The color levels are perfect.

The available audio track is a 2.0 English Stereo track. At no time does the music interfere with the dialog. The music sounded like it was in stereo where the dialog was only in mono. All the audio special effects appeared to be in low range mono only as they sounded very flat. No other language tracks and no subtitle options are available.

Chapters/Time Code:
There are seven chapters available for Re-Enter Johnny Wadd from the main menu, these allow for decent navigation through the film, but realistically there should have been many more chapters. There is a time code for this feature, so time searching is also available.

Special Features:
Although there are almost no extras available for Re-Enter Johnny Wadd, the first one definitely makes up for that. The Behind the Scenes feature is a humungous 60 minute piece that goes into detail on the set building, behind the sex scenes, star interviews and behind the scenes footage. This is the only feature on disc two. On disc one, available trailers are for: Platinum Blonde, Blonde in Black Leather, Dangerous Obsession, and Fallen Angels. The only other extra available is Main Menus Translated into Five Languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Chinese which are exactly that, just the main menus are translated of disc one. The film is still in English and disc two only has English menus. The addition of the substantial Behind the Scenes documentary compliments the film well and makes for a nice well-rounded product.

Review:
Re-Enter Johnny Wadd is another private eye film by Bob Chinn and he has done a great job with it. Although the disc menu states that the film is a Peter Magnum erotic thriller, this film is not from the Peter Magnum series. The film is well written and the story does more than just connect the sex scenes. None of the cast members are exceptionally good at acting, but for a change, no one is so bad that they stand out.

The film sports decent special effects for an adult film. The sound effects for them unfortunately sound flat. The sets and props are well done. One detail that I liked was that the photo of Johnny Wadd was a publicity shot for the late John Holmes, who played Johnny Wadd.

The cast is good looking, although many of the females have several articles of body jewelry, like tongue rings and clit rings, which I personally don't enjoy. The sex is rather tame for the most part but does include a scene with squirting. Although it is tame, the sex is well done and photographed in true Bob Chinn style.

It is nice to see Bob Chinn doing a non-Peter Magnum film with a much better lead. The John Holmes Johnny Wadd series worked well in the late seventies/early eighties and it is refreshing to see Chinn revisiting it. The way the film is made, it looks like he will be making more entries in the series with Johnny Wadd, Jr. and as Joel Lawrence is a much better lead than Lee Stone (who plays Peter Magnum) I look forward to seeing more entries in the series.

The Money Shot:
Re-Enter Johnny Wadd is a well-done plot based adult film and should appeal to those who like a plot and couples. Those who like nastier sex or hate a plot will probably wish to skip this one. Definitely a good rental and/or purchase.
