Review brief: Let My Puppets Come is a real oddity in the world of adult film being the first, and only, adult puppet musical movie. The film is an adult puppet show that lampoons the adult film industry, with well-made puppets, extensive musical numbers, and a good heaping of low-brow humor. Let My Puppets Come isn't going to be for everyone in fact, the viewers that will genuinely enjoy the film will be in the minority. For the right viewer, though, Let My Puppets Come is a fun film. Vinegar Syndrome has done an excellent job with their Blu-ray and DVD combo pack with excellent picture and sound quality.

Review brief: A Climax of Blue Power is an interesting roughie. A Climax of Blue Power was initially made as the softcore roughie The Impersonator by Lee Frost and then was converted, with inserts, into the hardcore roughie A Climax of Blue Power. Some of the inserts were well done and others, not so well done. As an exploitation film, despite being quickly made, A Climax of Blue Power works well. As a hardcore film, A Climax of Blue Power works poorly, and the inserts add nothing to the film at all. Vinegar Syndrome has done a nice job with their Blu-ray and DVD combo pack of A Climax of Blue Power with good sound and picture quality.

Review brief: People Trap is an adult short film from a pseudonymous director going by the moniker Prestho. People Trap is one of the entries from Sutter Cinema's First International Erotic Film Festival, and the least enjoyable of the entries that this reviewer has seen thus far. The other entries from Sutter Cinema's First International Erotic Film Festival that this reviewer has seen all played with the adult film format and were likely made by film students. People Trap is a more standard all sex film with slightly more content than the 8mm loops that were being made at the time, and feels like a more established pornographer made it. Vinegar Syndrome's streaming-only edition on Exploitation.TV looks and sounds good.

Review brief: Sexual Liberty Now! is a pseudo-documentary that uses the backdrop of President Lyndon Johnson's Commission on Obscenity and Pornography report as an educational stand to present pornography on the big screen at a time when pornography had to have educational value to avoid prosecution. As an actual documentary on the Commission on Obscenity and Pornography report, filmed pornography, and sexual practice in America Sexual Liberty Now! is an utter failure filled with a lot of suspect information. As entertainment, Sexual Liberty Now! makes for fun viewing. Intentionally, or not, Sexual Liberty Now! has amusingly absurd moments that allow the antiquated film a new life. Vinegar Syndrome has done a nice job with their streaming-only edition on Exploitation.TV with good video and audio quality.

Review brief: This edition doesn't contain the original version of The Love Witch but instead only includes the modified version of The Love Witch, which has cheaply produced courtroom segments that were created by Louis Peraino with Harry Reems. Honestly, The Love Witch is a mess with the original version of The Love Witch massacred by the new footage and inserted dialog (This isn't to say that The Love Witch was a good film before the alterations based on what is presented here it wasn't.). This film is an easy pass. Vinegar Syndrome has done a nice job with their streaming-only release on Exploitation.TV with good video and audio quality.

Review brief: Hopefully, at some point, Vinegar Syndrome will release a DVD of their Leo Productions short adult films from the First International Erotic Film Festival since they seem to have several. It seems unlikely that they would ever be able to put back together the festival itself since Leo Productions was not able to secure distribution rights for any of the entries they didn't produce. However, even a release of all of the Leo Productions shorts would be nice, even though the short films are flawed, since the different directors were all trying to actually do something with their short films. Roses for Zingara is a flawed but interesting short film from director Preston Holmes that is a tale of unrequited love. Vinegar Syndrome has done a nice job with their streaming-only edition of Roses for Zingara on Exploitation.TV with good audio and video quality.

Review brief: 5 Films 5 Years Volume 1: Golden Age Erotica is an excellent limited edition Blu-ray collection of five classic adult films. The set contains Too Naughty to Say No, Hot and Saucy Pizza Girls, The Ribald Tales of Canterbury, Prisoner of Paradise, and Dixie Ray Hollywood Star. The films on the release span from 1978 to 1985 and, honestly, fans of golden age adult films should find several to their liking, even if not all of the films included are favorites. None of the films on this release have ever looked better on home video and 5 Films 5 Years Volume 1: Golden Age Erotica is definitely worth picking up before it is sold out.

Vinegar Syndrome has done an excellent job with their Blu-ray/DVD combination pack of Throat: 12 Years After with an absolutely beautiful picture and excellent audio quality.

This entry features two very different films from prolific adult film director Shaun Costello. Afternoon Delights is one of the best of the vignette films that was ever made by the adult film industry and Slave of Pleasure, the third and final entry in the Dan McCord series, is a hokey detective tale. This release is worth picking up for Afternoon Delights alone. Vinegar Syndrome has done a beautiful job with the audio and video quality on this release.

Review brief: Vinegar Syndrome has done an absolutely stunning job with their DVD release of Roger Guermantes 1971 film Dark Dreams. Unfortunately, the film, itself, isn't that good. Dark Dreams is a horror/adult feature film hybrid which is a dream-based film. Even when the viewer reaches the end of the film, the plot makes little sense and the film is very erratically edited with some less than erotic sex scenes. Dark Dreams looks absolutely beautiful on this release, however, the film itself is impossible to recommend.

There really isn't anything about this film that needs to be experienced by the viewer. Vinegar Syndrome has done a nice job with their streaming only release of The Sins of Johnny X on Exploitation.TV with a nice looking image and decent audio quality.

Review brief: Hollywood Cowboy is a unique and interesting bisexual feature adult film from the early 1970s. What makes Hollywood Cowboy so interesting is the combination of heterosexual and homosexual sex scenes in the film. It isn't all that common to see both within an adult film. Hollywood Cowboy has a lot of issues with it, however, the film is a bunch of campy fun making the film well worth watching. Review brief: Intrusion is one of the most brutal and offsetting adult films ever made and the film is one of the best of the horror-adult hybrid films. The sex is unlikely to be erotic due to the psychological horror aspects of the film and the non-consensual nature of the sex scenes. However, the film is truly chilling due to the great cast and the good script and should be enjoyed by fans of the genre. Vinegar Syndrome has done an excellent job with their DVD release of Intrusion with an amazing image quality and excellent audio.

Review brief: This release from Vinegar Syndrome has two films from Duck Dumont from the same year on it. Both films suffer from the same issue, a lack of a plot and some lacking set design, but both have the same positive to them, some excellent sex scenes. Fans of Dumont will obviously want to pick up this release fans of the genre may ultimately be disappointed by the films on the release. Vinegar Syndrome has done an outstanding job with the audio and video quality on their DVD release of Pleasure Maze and Lovers Lane.

Review brief: P is an absolutely bizarre adult film made by someone known only as Tom, who appears to have little to no filmmaking knowledge, who managed to make about every technical mistake possible. In addition, the film has some strange sex scenes and the most outrageous depiction of a woman cumming that has probably ever been put onto celluloid. It is impossible to recommend P to any viewer and viewers who choose to watch it will question themselves as to why afterward. Vinegar Syndrome has done a decent job with their streaming version of P available on Exploitation.TV. The print they used to master P has seen heavy wear over its life but is still watchable.

Their print has some damage but this is easily the best version of Tongue released for the home market so far. Review brief: Winter Sports is an early hardcore feature, which is honestly a stretch to really call a feature, that manages to fail at every aspect of being a hardcore feature film. The mood, feel, and settings for the film are poorly done. Basically, Winter Sports is a failure as a film. Review brief: LA Plays Itself is a gay half all sex and half vignette adult film from Fred Halsted. LA Plays Itself makes for an interesting watch. There is little dialog and the first of the two parts in the film appears to be without a story. The second part, however, does contain a story even though it still has little dialog. The story is told through the images presented to the viewer. What both pieces put together means in totality is left for the viewer to decide on their own. LA Plays Itself is definitely worth a watch. Vinegar Syndrome's VOD release on Exploitation.TV of LA Plays Itself is a little rough around the edges with a well-worn print but perfectly watchable.

Review brief: Taboo 2, while not as good as Kirdy Stevens' original Taboo, is an enjoyable feature adult film. The cast does an amazing job with their sex scenes and do a great job with the non-sexual scenes. Taboo 3, on the other hand, is a massive let down with a poor story that does little to connect with the first two films and seems like just an attempt to cash in on the Taboo name. Most viewers likely won't have any interest seeing the film more than once. Taboo 2 makes this release worth picking up. Vinegar Syndrome has done a great job with this release. Taboo 2 has some issues with the video and audio but is still the best release of Taboo 2 on the market and Taboo 3 looks absolutely stunning.
