The Affairs of Janice is a perverse feature adult film from Zebedy Colt. Colt brings to viewers a twisted tale of love, adultery, and revenge with The Affairs of Janice. The Affairs of Janice tells the viewer the story about the death of George King (Zebedy Colt), as told by George himself. The story starts with the introduction of the catalyst that would eventually lead to his death, the lovely Janice (C.J. Laing), the protégé of George's wife Martha (Crystal Sync) who, like George, is a painter. George and Martha's relationship has been troubled. Janice, who has been having an affair with Martha, moves in with the Kings and falls for Martha's model Kirk Lansing (Ras Kean) and George falls for the innocent looking Janice leading to a series of complications.

Viewers unfamiliar with the work of Zebedy Colt may be lulled into feeling that The Affairs of Janice is a tame adult film. However, viewers familiar with Colt know that danger lurks around every corner. As far as Colt's body of work, The Affairs of Janice is among is tamer adult films and also one of the best that this reviewer has seen so far. For the not-so-easily turned away viewer, The Affairs of Janice is a nice and well-done adult feature film that should be seen.

When one goes into one of Colt's films, they never quite know what they are going to get as far as the technical details go. Some are rough around the edges and others are polished and beautiful. The Affairs of Janice is the latter with tight editing and nice camera work including some special effects and underwater photography. There is even a painting of Ras Kean made for the film by painter Nils Nilsson, who has a cameo as himself in the film as well.

The cast does a great job with their roles, both sexually and non-sexually. They bring out the different characters in the film well and give them their own personalities, which carry over into the sex scenes. The sex scenes are well done as well and fit well into the film itself. The end result is an enjoyable film, and quite possibly the most accessible film that was made by Colt over his unique adult film career.

The edition of The Affairs of Janice that was screened is the streaming only version available from Vinegar Syndrome on Exploitation.TV. The Affairs of Janice was shot on film and it looks like Vinegar Syndrome utilized a film print for their release. The Affairs of Janice is presented in the academy aspect ratio of 1:33:1. The print that Vinegar Syndrome used shows signs of being heavily used over the years. As can be expected, there is print damage, artifacts, and grain in the presentation. There are places that the colors look overly light. There is also very heavy damage for a short period in the middle of the film. None of this makes the film unwatchable in the least.

The Affairs of Janice is presented with an English monaural audio track. There is a hiss present throughout the film and there are pops aplenty as well. There is also some significant damage to the audio for a short period roughly halfway through the film. The dialog is clear and can be understood at all times during viewing.

Vinegar Syndrome hasn't included any extras for this release of The Affairs of Janice.

The Affairs of Janice is an excellent feature film by director and actor Zebedy Colt that should be on the to watch list of all fans of the genre. The story and acting in the film is top notch and the sex scenes are enjoyable making for a great feature film. Vinegar Syndrome has done a nice job with their streaming release of The Affairs of Janice on Exploitation.TV. The print is worn and damaged and the audio has some damage, however, the film is very watchable.
