Throat: 12 Years After (Blu-Ray) review summaries:
Flash's
Throat: 12 Years After is an excellent character-driven drama from director and writer Gerard Damiano. Throat: 12 Years After looks at the love lives of two couples and features an excellent cast and an enjoyable story. Ignore the implied connection to Damiano's earlier film Deep Throat and definitely watch this film it is worth it. Vinegar Syndrome has done an excellent job with their Blu-ray/DVD combination pack of Throat: 12 Years After with an absolutely beautiful picture and excellent audio quality. [read the full review]

THROAT...12 YEARS AFTER. Again, tells the story of two very different couples. The first being "Walter"(George Payne) and Marsha(Michelle Maren), who have now been married for 5 years. And it is during that time that the couple has had little to no sexual interaction with each other. Despite Marsha's mother urging her on to bring about grandchildren. Walter and Marsha's relationship dynamic changes. However, when each of them have a sexual encounter independent from one another, with another person Walter with a gum-chewing 19 year old hooker(Sharon Mitchell). While Marsha enjoys a playful romp with "Joe"(Eric Edwards) the couple's long-time meter man. The two separate experiments then, finally open up the couple to experiences of their own with one another as they become more and more adventurous and curious. [read the full review]

The Affairs of Janice is an excellent feature film by director and actor Zebedy Colt that should be on the to watch list of all fans of the genre. The story and acting in the film is top notch and the sex scenes are enjoyable making for a great feature film. Vinegar Syndrome has done a nice job with their streaming release of The Affairs of Janice on Exploitation.TV. 42nd Street Forever: The Peep Show Collection 14 review summaries:
Flash's
42nd Street Forever: The Peep Show Collection Volume 14 is a decent compilation of loops from back when they were shot on 16mm film and released on 8mm film for home viewing. As can be expected from a compilation such as this, some of the loops are far better than others. Impulse Pictures has done a decent job with the release, all of the loops included are in good shape but unfortunately the only identification they have been given is their original name. If you like the old 8mm grinders, you will find a lot to like here. [read the full review]

Inside Deep Throat review summaries:
Ryder7's
A documentary exploring the societal impact the adult film known as Deep Throat had on mainstream America. "Deep Throat" was just another X-Rated adult film when it was made in 1972. Finished in six days, for the sum of $25,000, (financed by the mob) the film to date has grossed over $600 Million dollars. Inside Deep Throat makes a decent albeit incomplete attempt at explaining how & why it became so popular. The documentary explores the subject of pornography, and how the U.S. Government under Nixon had a problem with it. It's interesting to note the timeliness of this documentary in light of the current Bush Administrations' recent witchhunting pronouncement on an all new "war on porn"... It seems the events of 30 years ago are trying to replay themselves and makes Inside Deep Throat a must see. Deep Throat was made by former hairdresser and acclaimed porn director Gerard Damiano and starred an actress who went by the screen name of Linda Lovelace. [read the full review]

I had high hopes for Inside Deep Throat but the film fell short of what I was hoping for. That isn't to say it is not an enjoyable film to watch, but expect more of an overview of culture in the 70s and the rise of adult films then than a documentary that manages to focus directly on Deep Throat. Fans of films from the Golden Age will probably enjoy this film and viewers who don't understand why some adult movie studios are afraid of going to jail for content in adult films should watch this film as well. I'd recommend giving the film a rental over purchasing it. [read the full review]

Devil Inside Her, The (Alpha Blue) review summaries:
Flash's
The Devil Inside Her is a dark and gritty film which probably won't appeal to most viewers. The female cast, as is common for the time, isn't the best to look at. The story is interesting, but the sex is unerotic. If you are into the classics and like a satanic theme, rough sex and non-consensual sex, you might want to rent the title. Otherwise, I'd recommend passing on this one. [read the full review]

Produced, directed, written and edited by Armand Weston, EXPOSE ME LOVELY (1976, Video-X-Pix) follows on the heels of the domestic film FAREWELL MY LOVELY (1975) as Ras Kean plays a Philip Marlowe-type character named Frosty Knight, who sucks and fucks his way through the seedy under belly of NYC and solves a case along the way. Satisfiers Of Alpha Blue, The review summaries:
andyblake's
This 1980 New York production may be the only Gerard Damiano video I've ever seen. Typcially, "golden age" adult movies are pretty tame by today's standards. That isn't the case with this one. Right away there's an anal scene, followed shortly by a double penetration. There's also a scene where a man is penetrated by a dildo. In the original movie, there was a fisting scene and a golden shower scene, both of which have been cut from this dvd (and, unlike Arrow's DVD of "Candy Stripers" are unfortunately not hidden in an easter egg). The plot involves a futuristic society called "Alpha Blue," in which the prevailing custom is sex without commitment or attachment. Herschel Savage (early in his amazing three decades-long career) is happy with this state of affairs, but R. Bolla pines for the good old days of love and romance. Bolla decides that he will woo Satisfier 805 (Lysa Thatcher) into falling in love with him. Bottom line: this is an amazing classic feature, one of the best golden age movies not made by Henry Paris (aka Radley Metzger). [read the full review]

Pandora's Mirror (Caballero) review summaries:
fu_q's
A curious, young woman (Veronica Hart) finds herself further and further entranced by an enchanted mirror that she and a friend happen upon in the back of a low-rent, New York City clothing store. Offering up myriad sexual visions and flashbacks of times past, the mirror pulls her deeper and deeper into its erotic, though ultimately devious, web. Such is the case in "Pandora's Mirror", a very good, 1981 release from Caballero and director Warren Evans (Shaun Costello). [read the full review]

From my local smut peddler, I recently picked up a used DVD of PANDORA'S MIRROR (1981) with the lovely Veronica Hart as Pandora, a woman who becomes obsessed with sexually charged trysts revealed in a mirror at an antique store. This top-notch 88 minute Warren Evans-Shaun Costello production expands on the bewitched mirror motif used in mainstream films like DEAD OF NIGHT (UK, 1945) to include tales of sexual obsession and perversion as told by this enchanted mirror.
