Running Time: approx. 81 minutes Director: Nina Hartley Cast: Nina Hartley, Malitia, Mandi Frost, Tony Tedeschi, and 2 other gentlemen Audio/Video Quality: There was some grain in the picture. And the audio was a little soft at times. But overall it wasnt that bad. Extras: Bio of Nina Hartley. The lettering was too small and there was no voice reading it as there often is on Wicked Pictures disks. Themes: Oral, straight, orgy, touching/masturbation, and rimming (male>female). Review: I got no sexual experience in the world and found this disk to be educational. I also thought it was enjoyable to see the women naked and used as instructional aids. It sure beat looking at drawings or even pictures in some book. This is not to say that such videos can't be informative, but obvious discussions on the art of lovemaking are usually peppered with obvious suggestions like, "Take your time. Be sensitive to your partner's needs. Enjoy the experience..." (Well, duh!). So, after noting the title of this feature, I braced myself for a methodically boring instructional video of sorts, with some graphic but sterilized scenes of oral sex. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" Watching this was pure bliss (sorry for the pun) The Movie: This has to be one of the best adult movies I've seen in a while. This is not just a porno. You cannot watch this and fast forward through the dialogue. You would miss SO much! The characters and the plot are extremely well written, and very involving. You have three couples: Carla and Justin, Gwen and Eddie, and Max and Nikita. Carla can't stop cheating on Justin, and Justin can sense that something is wrong. Gwen can't stand Eddie because he lies to her, but he won't agree to a divorce. Max is an asshole, plain and simple, and Nikita wants to find a way to get back at him. Okay, this sounds like a basic porno... it's not. This movie is very dark, and very depressing. No one gets a real happy ending, and the sex, in most cases, is not meant to be romantic. The Plot: Okay, I have to hand it to Vivid. Rarely, if ever, do they produce a movie that doesn't have a plot. Or at least a semblance of a plot. Okay, maybe a hint of a plot. True, the plot's don't always make sense, but you at least get some motivation behind why Actress A is working her way through Actors B, C, D and the sheep in the corner. Starring contract stars Juli Ashton, Vicca and Nikita, as well as Nici Sterling and Melanie Stone, "Vortex" employs the same digital special effects and background setting used (and sometimes over-used) in classics like Michael Ninn's "Sex" and "Latex" but they do not distract from fuck and suck scenes (which are, after all, the raison d' etre of porn).The DVD cover art has a simply stunning picture of Juli Ashton, decked out in a skin-tight silver outfit in a quasi-martial arts-action pose. Unfortunately I did not read andyblake's review before purchasing. I had rented the VHS video and it was fantastic 4.5 stars with outstanding scenes from Tricia Devereaux(love the glasses) and Missy. So I had purchased the DVD for a permanent copy expecting better picture and sound. What VIVID did to the DVD is just wrong. To get their multiangle shots they just cut up the scene. I had rented the VHS video and it was fantastic 4.5 stars with outstanding scenes from Tricia Devereaux(love the glasses) and Missy. So I had purchased the DVD for a permanent copy expecting better picture and sound. What VIVID did to the DVD is just wrong. To get their multiangle shots they just cut up the scene. Company: Evil Angel -Actually, I don't own this DVD. I rented it & it looks nice. The DVD could have been better, as well as some of the film. This film is more like a how-to-do/instructional film instead of a typical XXX film. However, this does have some nice butt-sex, assplay and such. On another token, I think it could have been better as far as the female stars (personally, I do not like Nina Hartley). Some of these females could have been replaced with other hot females. Period. I do like it, but it is filled with a few flaws (bad picture & audio quality, some unattractive females & not enough work on the DVD). [read the full review]

After watching the guide I wanted to run right out, get me some toys, and well, practice.Thats not to say that it is a perfect DVD. There is repeat footage both in the movie itself and in the behind the scenes. The poor audio sometimes makes it difficult to hear some of the side remarks, the ones you most want to hear. The camerawork could have been better the video quality is average porno.
