review from 4/11/2021:
Hired to ghost-write a book by a wealthy socialite (Kay Parker), Eric Edwards encounters--and takes advantage of--a world in which just about everyone is corrupt. From Parker''s and her husband''s (John Leslie''s) cheating ways to an au pair with sticky fingers (Rikki Harte) to Edwards'' quasi-girlfriend/stripper (Tina Marie), everybody seems to have an angle. The only innocent one? Parker''s and Leslie''s blind daughter (Joanna Storm)...who''s naively looking for love. So goes "Firestorm", an exceptional 1984 release from director Cecil Howard and Command Video. [read the full review]

review from 4/10/2021:
From its catchy opening score, cleverly-cut credits, and nostalgic shots of old-school New York City, it''s clear that the audience is in for a fun and sexy treat with "Spitfire", an exceptional 1984 release from director Cecil Howard and Command Video. Reproduced beautifully at Hotmovies.com, this production is in many ways pornographic poetry in motion from start to finish. Exquisitely captured and edited, this film is centered around a corrupt professor-turned-politician (R. Bolla) whose "chastity belt" agenda has caught on nationally and is bringing in millions. Of course, he''s actually a perv and a fraud, his daughter (Tigr) is an insatiable nymphomaniac, and his wife (Samantha Fox) is a gold digger in every sense of the word. Needless to say, the storyline is intricate, well-crafted and comical, the acting is superb throughout, and the end result is a true Golden Age classic that should not be missed. When Jamie Gillis, sporting a dick-nose pair of glasses, throws a party, all of the masked, costumed freaks--from maids to furries to doctors to magicians and so on--show up...and fuck. What results is a hardcore, nonstop entanglement of flesh involving the likes of John Holmes, Sharon Mitchell, Mai Lin, Misty Dawn, Ron Jeremy, and several other notable performers of its time...and the ensuing action is hot! review from 6/10/2017:
Living a superficial, upper-middle class life with his mundane, flimsy facade of a family, a mediocre psychiatrist (Ron Jeremy) finds himself stuck with an unfaithful wife (Lisa B.), who's cheating upon him with his best friend (George Payne) and also their daughter's quasi-boyfriend (Sean Eilliott). Thrown into the mix is said budding, but "invisible" daughter (Tigr), who's covertly exploring her own sexuality in all manner of bizarre and dangerous ways. Of course, for his part, Ron is cheating with a slew of prostitutes and his clingy secretary (Copper Penny), who happens to also be banging Payne, as well. On top of it all, Ron finds himself harassed throughout the film (during cut-scenes) by a large, talking white light, the identity of which is fairly easy to figure out, though it isn't formally revealed until the end of the flick. Such is the case in "Scoundrels", a very good, 1982 release from Command Video and acclaimed director, Cecil Howard. [read the full review]

review from 9/2/2017:
Scoundrels is an excellent feature adult film from the golden age of adult films. The film was crafted with care and it shows in the end results. Scoundrels is a rather dark drama that uses hardcore sex along with the non-sexual portions to tell a story, instead of just having a story that exists to have sex scenes. Scoundrels is a must see for fans of feature-style adult films. Command Video has done an amazing job with their limited collector's edition Blu-ray and DVD combination package for Scoundrels with stellar image and audio quality and a wealth of extras. THROAT...12 YEARS AFTER. Again, tells the story of two very different couples. The first being "Walter"(George Payne) and Marsha(Michelle Maren), who have now been married for 5 years. And it is during that time that the couple has had little to no sexual interaction with each other. Despite Marsha's mother urging her on to bring about grandchildren. review from 6/28/2017:
Writer/Director Kemal Horulu's 1983 drama-thriller, NEVER SLEEP ALONE, begins with an ominous tone right out of the gate. This as the camera captures a scene outside of a court building, where all we can hear are the ongoing proceedings of a trial. It is then that the film takes us back in time to chronicle the life of Lisa Alexander"(Tina Marie) and her husband "Dan Alexander"(John Leslie). Lisa and Dan, maintain an unconventional lifestyle. They are swingers, and often go to parties thrown by their neighbor "Diana"(Honey Wilder) at a local club called "Plato's Retreat", where basically anything goes, when it comes to sex. Both Lisa and Dan are very open in their relationship and are allowed to have relations with others, however, they have but one rule. They are not to sleep with each other's friends. This is something that they have been able to manage. However, soon, things get complicated, when Dan begins to have eyes for Diana's new roommate, "Natalie"(Joanna Storm). [read the full review]

The Films of Phil Prince: Avon 7 Triple Feature is a mixed bag. The Taming of Rebecca is worth having as a film, but the transfer isn't the greatest and the film is missing a little footage. review from 10/17/2016:
Surrounded by the dirt and grime of 1970's New York City, a pervy, imbalanced porn shop creeper and window peeper, Jamie Gillis, finds himself pushed over the edge when he witnesses both an erotic enema at a local brothel and also the object of his obsession having sex with another man. Convinced that he can "cure" women of their perceived "impure behavior" via an enema (whether they like it or not), he goes on a spree that ultimately has him becoming a notorious and deranged rapist. Whether he'll be caught or whether he'll continue to terrorize the city's female population remains to be seen. Such is the case in "Water Power", a very good, 1976 release from Global Media International Films. [read the full review]

Waterpower is a bizarre film to come from Shaun Costello that has an even more bizarre release history. The TLA Entertainment Exclusive DVD contains two versions of the film on the disc. One called the original version and one called the director's cut. Neither is, to the best of my knowledge either the original version or the director's cut. The video quality is very good on the original version and varies from very good to poor in the director's cut. As of now, The Historic Erotica version appears to be the best release of Waterpower to have come out as of yet, but hopefully someday a definitive version will get released. [read the full review]

It's all about naughty nookie and horny hijinks when two young ladies, Sharon Mitchell and Susaye London, decide that they need a break from the city and opt to rent a party home out in the 'burbs. Of course, the two nubiles always find themselves short of cash, as women of their age are wont to do, and they soon discover that the best form of payment for just about anything (...including the rental...) is ass. Fortunately for all involved, this suits the girls just fine, and they happily make good on their payments. 80's porn queen Barbii gets quite the 21st birthday surprise when she's transported to Hell and ends up with her long-lost twin brother, "Jason" (played by Tom Byron), in "Friday the 13th, Part Two". An overall-good porn flick of yesteryear from F. J. Lincoln and Caballero, this release finds the young starlet transformed from an innocent goody-two-shoes into (more or less) a diabolical harlot by the film's end, all under her brother's watchful tutelage. Not taking itself too seriously, the plot is fun and the sex scenes--though short--are fairly hot. With both Barbii and Tom as demons who are bent on causing trouble for humanity, there's enough of a storyline to hold this one together well...and things do get a little kinky at the end. For fans of porno nostalgia...and fans of Barbii...this one is worthy. [read the full review]

Overview Henri Pachard has mad some classic stuff, Budding of Brie, Jailhouse Girls, etc, etc. So does this slice of Golden Age pie taste sweet, or sour ? What I Liked Kinda cool seeing old faves like Rachel Ashley, Taija Rae, and Sharon Mitchell in their prime suckin' and fuckin'. As a lover of full bush ( yum ) , gotta say I dug full coochie rug look sported here. What I Disliked Well, the whole plot of mayhem ensuing on the day of a wedding rehersal, with new wave band guests appearing, and the groom disappearing was just way too silly. The sex was pretty tame, and quick. Anal ? Not here . Facials and big loads period, nah uh. So we have a bizarre plot, weak ass sex. Shit. DVD Quality Transfer of an oldie, you'd figure its not quite modern quality, and you'd be correct. Not grainy and splotchy though, just ok. Extras ? Ha ha ha. Overall Thoughts Not the best golden age flick, no, not by a long ass mile. [read the full review]

If you are contemplating whether to buy the limited edition Lion's Gate release of Wonderland for Wadd or the VCA release of Wadd, despite the fact that the VCA version was apparently changed without the director's permission, this is the superior edition. The movie itself is very close to the version that still bears Cass Paley's name, the extras are excellent and this is the best disc from VCA that I have ever seen. If you are looking for masturbation material, this film isn't a great choice. But if you are looking for a film about one of the most legendary adult stars of all time, John C. When a group of alien mermaids led by Taija Rae finds that the Earth's water is too polluted for their health, they need to leave...pronto. Unfortunately, one of their kind, Vanessa D'Oro, is enjoying the sex on the planet far too much to join them, despite the fact that it will mean her demise. So, as any good alien mermaid leader would, Taija seeks out the help of the rough-around-the-edges good guy, John Leslie--who's apparently a "mermaid whisperer" of sorts--to help. Such is the case in "Talk Dirty to Me 4", an overall-good, 1986 release from Ned Morehead and Dreamland Entertainment. [read the full review]

Few stories, if any, have transfixed the adult film industry--and put its very existence in peril--as that of a young Ms. Traci Lords, who rose to the top of the flesh heap in the mid-1980's, only to have it come out in siren-blazing style that she was underage for almost the entirety of her career. "Traci's Big Trick" (1987 Classic X) from Jane Waters and starring Jacqueline Lorians as Traci gives a fictionalized accounting of these events and of Ms. Lords' time in the X-rated film industry. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" I had mostly seen Jonathan Morgan's comedies, so I decided that this time around I would see how he does with drama, and darker elements, so I watched this and Indigo Delta back to back. I was very impressed with both films, but I've decided to review Knockout first. The Movie: I don't understand why Wicked hasn't pushed this movie more. It really is one of the few adult titles out there that is TOTALLY couples worthy. It has a very sweet, romantic plot with some very hot, and at times rough, sex. Now, when I say sweet, romantic plot, I'm not talking Hollywood caliber here. Yes, the movie does have some very nice dialogue scenes, and some sweet moments between the two lead characters, but it never forgets that it's an adult film. The story and the sex work together very well, and because of that, the sex scenes are enhanced by the plot, which is how a good feature porn should work. The sex here is pretty basic with three boy/girl scenes, one girl/girl scene, and one boy/girl/girl scene. [read the full review]

Initial Expectations: Its a Wicked release. Nuff said. Initial Reaction: Wow. I really like this one. Its got a great story and the sex is hot too. Audio /Video Quality: Both are typical Wicked high quality transfers. Theres a little grain near the end and some of the audio is pretty noticeably dubbed, but thats about it. Neither of these bothered me too much while watching the movie. Music: The music is very well balanced. The music varies during the sex scenes, but its mostly the typical high quality porno music. NOTE: This is not your typical review. Others have done an excellent job reviewing the content, scenes, performances, etc. of this porn classic. This "review" concerns itself with how the DVD's contents compare with the complete, uncut original release version of the film or an early (before prior self-censorship) VHS version. The Ratings given refer either to the "original" version of the film (Performers, Plot, Sex, etc.) or to the DVD version (Extras, Value, etc.) and are relatively arbitrary. The important info is that which follows. BARBARA BROADCAST DVD EDITS After doing a side-by-side, shot-by-shot comparison of the new DVD version of the Henry Paris (Radley Metzger) classic with an old video that appears to have been made from an original release print of the film, it looks like only two scenes have been edited and/or shortened for the Barbara Broadcast DVD. However, these are major edits, as will be detailed later. [read the full review]

Directed by Candida Royalle Production date 1 / 98 Starring Missy, Tony Tedeschi, Miss Sharon Mitchell, Herschel Savage, Mickey G, Chloe and Tom Byron One note beforehand : Raincoaters avert your eyes! As is to be expected, this new release (of an older video) from Royalle's Femme line of couples (and woman-) friendly products is the kind of gentle sex flick one might try to lure his girlfriend into porn viewing. Since there is a substantial plot to the movie, I digress from my usual synopsis/sex scene listing/conclusion review formula to describe the way the movie unfolds from start to finish. Review : After the (hokey-looking) Femme logo, we are treated to soft music and Missy examining a set of photographs she apparently took for a New York ad firm (yes folks, she's a renowned photographer allright) when Sharon Mitchell as her best friend enters the scene. You see, it's Miss Mitchell's house where Missy seems to find peace, even though she feels a "deep longing" for something she can't put her finger on. [read the full review]

Synopsis This 1983 Henri Pachard classic is a wholesome romp. Raincoaters can pass it by unless they are just in the mood for a little fun. The quirky humor, goofy music, and nostalgic feel of Sexcapades may please people who enjoy the feel of Pink Panther movies. The plot involves a director attempting to make a porn film. Scene 1 Joanna Storm and Alan Adrian perform a fumbling audition for two bored porn producers. Her earnest but misdirected enthusiasm is a real hoot. At one point she stops the sex to put socks under her knees to prevent rug-burn. Peter Meter = zero Scene 2 Sharon Mitchell plays a sexually clueless wife in a fluffy, unsexy nightie. Her alternately prudish and giggling responses to husband Eric Edwards will leave you feeling smug. She throws in a few moans for his inexpert cunnilingus. Plot, sex, acting, scenery DMJ II succeeds on all counts. In how many movies do you get to watch Mary Antoinette and Cleopatra suck off the Devils Advocate? Or Cyrano de Bergerac give Georgina Spelvin the first orgasm in hell with his nose? The film opens with an erotic yet humorous seduction. Georgina Spelvin (Justine Jones), ever the siren, crawls toward Cyrano (whose nose is conveniently shaped like a penis) begging to mount him. As she writhes her way to ultimate pleasure Hells orgasm alert starts blaring (the no orgasm in hell rule has just been officiated.)
