Savannah: the Lost Footage review summaries:
fu_q's
"Savannah: The Lost Footage" is advertised as a "tribute" to one of the true stars in the history of adult films, Savannah. Released a bit after the 15 year anniversary of her tragic passing, this movie promises her fans a renewed look at the actress via offering up some rare footage. Sadly, these promises are largely empty, as the DVD is full not with the "4 Hours of the 'Legendary Savannah'" displayed on the front of the disc, but instead with fifteen scenes--only three of which actually feature the star. In all, the only reason that this DVD received any stars here is due to Savannah. The fact that only three of fifteen scenes include her is shameful. The claims of "4 hours" when there are barely over three is also inexcusable. The lack of a Main Menu and any type of bonuses is unfortunate, as well. I would avoid this disc unless you are the most avid Savannah fan imaginable and have to have everything that she has done. Indeed, Savannah deserves much better than this. [read the full review]

A grossly unequal inheritance pits a lowlife real estate jockey, Ron Jeremy, against his super-do-gooder brother, Herschel Savage, and--of course, this being a porno--all manner of sexual machinations and hi-jinks ensue. This is a horrible movie. It's downright dumb with boring sex. The technical aspects are weak and there's no real care put into the extras. If you're given a choice between watching this movie and being punched in the gut, even if you haven't been working on your abs the punch to the gut is going to be less painful. Barbara Dare's Affairs review summaries:

Proving that you sometimes have to give some head to get ahead, Shanna McCullough uses her beauty and sexual prowess to make her way in the cut-throat, corporate world. Unfortunately for her, this includes mixing herself up in a high-end, pay-for-sex ring run after-hours out of her office that quickly jeopardizes her legit career. Such is the case in "Barbara Dare's Affairs" (a.k.a. "Corporate Affairs"), a very good, 1986 release from Gourmet Video and director Carlos DeSantos. [read the full review]

Buttman's Bend Over Babes 1 & 2 review summaries:
Tongue in Groove's
Brandy Alexander had a great ass. So did Angela Summers and Kym Wilde. If you ever had a doubt, just check out Buttmans Bend Over Babes #2. Buttman (aka John Stagliano) spends at least half of the two hours pointing his camera at these and other behinds. Some might say thats about 30 minutes too much, since Stagliano almost entirely neglects the other aspects of the sex going on while he stands behind the babes. Blowjobs are given only token air time. Intercourse gets even less as Stagliano keeps his roving camera almost stuck to the girls posteriors. This makes the sex almost unbearable to watch. We all enjoy the sight of a great pair of buns, but to shove the shots down our throats endlessly is a bit of overkill. So we can barely appreciate the antics of Carolyn Monroe and Porsche Lynn in a threeway with Tom Byron, where the girls share a great double face frosting. Or Byron at it again with Tashawna, where he gives her the high hard one up the keester. [read the full review]

Bend Over Babes #1 is from John Staglianos Buttman series, which is okay if youre really, really, really into looking at womens butts. However, if youd also like to see other parts of the female frame (like a cock in her mouth), you might be greatly disappointed. Stagliano goes overboard with the butt shots. Hell show 30-40 seconds of a girls backside, then switch to maybe 10 seconds of her sucking dick, then go back to the rear view. Too much! Be advised that this Volume (there were six original B.O.Bs) is mostly a compilation, with only four fresh scenes. The other 10+ scenes were snipped from Mystic Pieces, Dance Fire, Salsa Break, Bare Essence, and The Legend of Reggie D. Its really a mish-mash of scenes, with the old clips edited in at odd times and places. The older clips are only partial scenes, and many end with no cumshot. [read the full review]

Liberation Of Honeydoll Jones, The review summaries:
fu_q's
It's all about the redneck rompin' and the backwoods boffin' as two fornicating families of horny hillbillies rekindle an old, chicken-stealing feud when the son-in-law of one clan is caught rolling in the hay with the hot-pants daughter of the other. Making matters worse is the impact that it all has upon the budding romance of the film's star-crossed lovers, "Bobby" (from one family) and the lovely Virginia Winters (from the other). Of course, plenty of sexual high-jinks ensue as the fiasco unfolds, with--in true country kinkin' style--everyone ending up throwing the ho down with everyone else. Such is the case in "The Liberation of Honeydoll Jones", a surprisingly good, 1977 release from director Carlos DeSantos and VCX. [read the full review]

The virginally naive Candy Christian (played by the blonde bombshell, Carol Connors) unwittingly embarks upon the sexual adventure of a lifetime when her father ends up in the hospital after catching her getting it on with the hired help. Thereafter, Candy finds herself bumbling her way from one end of the country to the other, being taken advantage of by strangers, doctors, a cult leader, and even family members along the way. Fortunately for her (...and the viewer, as well...), she's more or less too ditzy to realize any of it and simply goes along for the sexy ride. This 1978 golden age classic by Bob Chinn is a lot of good, dirty fun. The set is convincing, and many have thought it was shot in a hospital although it was really shot on a sound stage in San Francisco. The acting is reasonably good, although the plot isn't complicated: a bunch of hospital patients who are more horny than sick, and three candy stripers willing to serve any way they can, including sexually. Many have commented that the women in classic porn are not as good looking as today's crop. Although that is generally true, Amber Hunt, for example, could hold her own even in today's porn biz. Arrow has done an outstanding job restoring sound and picture, and one of the cutest things about this movie is the song that was composed and performed for it. The fact that golden age adult films frequently had a song written specifically for them is one of the things that separates them from the current industry. [read the full review]

NOTE: This is not your typical review. Others have done an excellent job reviewing the content, scenes, performances, etc. of this porn classic. This "review" concerns itself with how the DVD's contents compare with the complete, uncut original release version of the film or an early (before prior self-censorship) VHS version. The Ratings given refer either to the "original" version of the film (Performers, Plot, Sex, etc.) or to the DVD version (Extras, Value, etc.) and are relatively arbitrary. The important info is that which follows. CANDY STRIPERS ALL THERE Bob Chinns 1978 classic, Candy Stripers has been brought to DVD by Arrow Films, who has done a great job of restoring the film as well as giving us ALL of it (sort of). For those who havent heard, there are two infamous scenes in the film (both involving fisting) that have long been cut out for fear of the dreaded porn police. Both scenes are present on the DVD, but not in their original positions in the complete film, which remains edited in this presentation. [read the full review]

Alexandra (VCA) review summaries:
classic connoisseur's
Length: 92:48 Year: 1983 The VCA dvd of Alexandra is presented full screen and the picture is as clear as can be expected for a film 20 years old. The audio is in excellent shape and comes through clear at all times and I didn't notice any hard to understand dialogue. Now on to the plot of the movie. This movie has enough plot to keep a soap opera going for 6 months, but don't let that discourage you my fellow porn viewers. I found the story well developed and if you follow it closely it is quite interesting and it will hold your attention. You do have to pay attention though to know what is happening. This is not a film you can fast forward through and know what is happening. The plot involves 3 couples of whom the men of the 3 couples all have one thing in common they have all dated Alexandra. Alexandra remains a mystery throughout the movie. Alexandra has something in store for these 3 couples though, she wants the guys, girlfriends to think that she is about to tell their boyfriends about their secret sexual shenanigans. California Fever review summaries:
fu_q's
With little planning or prospects, the naive, bubbly blonde, Candie Evans, bounces her way to California by way of Ohio, looking for beaches, fun in the sun, and just about anything that comes her way. Of course, what comes her way is a stream of men and women alike who are looking to use the innocent lass for food, money, and sex. Fortunately for the airy Evans, she's typically too dopey to really care and blithely moves on from one sexual situation to the next, always managing to see the glass as half-full. How she'll ultimately make it in a land of such predators, and whether she'll figure out what it takes to fit in remain the questions of the day. Such is the case in "California Fever", an overall-good, 1987 release from director Jack Genero and Cal Vista Classics. [read the full review]

Sexy Nurses On and Off Duty review summaries:
Draken's
Pre-Viewing Expectations What guy, in the unlikely event of being pent up in a hospital, hasn't fantasized about a sexy nurse coming into their room and doing a bit of (to borrow from the song) Sexual Healing? Does "Sexy Nurses On and Off Duty" fullfil this fantasy? About the only thing the case says on this one is that the nurses will make sure you are sexually healthy whether or not they are on duty. It does point out that this is from their "Classic Collection" meaning it has been digitally remastered and re-released on DVD format. The Main Event The first scene opens with a nurse saying it is 10 midnight and she's waiting for four doctors to join her in the room. She's wearing a white outfit, and the typical white hat with the red cross sybol on it. Do nurses even wear such hats anymore? Soon enough, the four guys enter, already nude. Glad I don't see nude doctors walking around the halls when I'm unfortunate enough to be at the hospital. [read the full review]

Hot Rackets review summaries:
fu_q's
The "frigid", brunette legend, Candida Royalle, goes to investigate when her husband, Jon Martin, is spending far too much of his time at the local, members-only tennis club and far too little of it with her. Of course, what she finds is that the club is predominantly a horny haven for husbands and ho's, whose focus is distinctly more on fucking than it is on fuzzy balls and rackets. Whether Candida will get totally pissed off by her discovery or merely succumb to the club's various sexual trappings becomes the pressing question of the day. Such is the case in "Hot Rackets", an exceptional, 1979 release from Cal Vista and director Robert McCallum. [read the full review]

Directed by Robert McCallum 1979 Runtime: 1 hour 20 minutes 38 seconds Truly a classic adult film. That it is a product of the seventies is clear from the opening credits where the screen is broken into four parts with a tennis ball in the middle. Over the tennis ball are displayed the names of the cast and primary crew, and the four screens play various clips from the film whetting the viewers appetite and preparing them for what is about to come. It all starts when Herb Adler (John Martin) wakes up and rolls over to his nude wife, Liz (Candida Royalle). He begins to grope her and tries to arouse her, but she will have none of it. Through an angry exchange on Herb's part, we find out that this is their usual behavior. Herb claims she is frigid. She does not deny this, and Herb storms off to get a shower. In the shower, the maid Sally (Chris Cassidy) expresses her sympathy for Herb. [read the full review]

One of the best American hardcore films ever made (by director Gary Graver) has been given a TERRIBLE DVD release by Caballero. Here is a Harold Lime/Robert McCallum classic from 1982 that is still famous over 20 years later. It won six adult film critic awards, including best picture. Because it was filmed near the end of the "golden age," there aren't quite as many exterior shots as there would have been in movies a few years older. The plot involves a madam named Amanda (Veronica Hart) who, as a favor to her former pimp and lover (Jamie Gillis), sets up an S & M session for a local politician. The girls that she sends for this session (Lisa de Leeuw and Samantha Fox) are later found dead. R. Bolla plays the straight-arrow homicide detective trying to solve the case, without much help from Amanda. To make matters worse, there's a corrupt vice squad cop (Ron Jeremy) who is constantly getting in the way. By today's standards, this is couples' fare, with relatively short sex scenes, and loads of plot. It's so good-hearted, it could almost be on the Family Channel. Veronica Hart gets to over-act and ham it up ridiculously. It's a good movie, but a poor DVD. [read the full review]

Chameleons: Not The Sequel review summaries:

All isn''t as it seems at Ashlyn Gere''s spicy, underground sex party, as a shape-shifting "chameleon" (Deidre Holland) has infiltrated the scene. Preying upon the life-forces (and lusts) of the weak, she quickly attracts Gere''s attention and adoration... with potentially disastrous consequences. Of course, that''s all assuming that Deidre is the only predator of her kind... So goes "Chameleons: Not the Sequel" from VCA and director John Leslie. [read the full review]

I used to have a VHS copy of John Leslie's Chameleon, in which Tori Welles seemed to have the ability to change shape at will - although there was a certain element of ambiguity about the events that no reviewer has seemed to pick up on. What exactly was real? The not-sequel from 1992 features Deidre Holland and Rocco Siffredi as a couple of vampiric shape-changers and Ashlyn Gere as an adventurous woman who is seduced and intrigued by them. The plot is less ambiguous this time around, although not exactly mainstream. I suppose the viewer is aided by the obvious loans from other movies, most obviously Tony Scott's The Hunger. Watching the movie I was struck by a realization of how much I had been missing real and intriguing plots in porn. Chameleons is by no means a perfect movie - I did not get the opening scene, which appears to be taken from an entirely different kind of movie. All it seems to do is to establish the bitchiness of the Ashlyn Gere character, and not very effectively. [read the full review]

'Chameleons' is one of John Leslie's later creations for VCA.. shot on film with a substantial (if not great) plot and (for the time) good production values. It centers on Rocco Siffredi and Deidre Holland as a couple of shape-changers who can turn into any person they like if they drain their sexual energy; and on Ashlyn Gere as a woman who gets involved with them.. They first meet at an orgy-style party where one can briefly see a young and hot Sunset Thomas riding on hubby Zach. Deidre stands in a corner looking bored while being touched by another woman. Meanwhile Ashlyn goes to the bathroom and is interrupted by Deidre who suddenly turns into Rocco, the 'real' Rocco still having fun at the party. A sex scene follows between the two and there's quite some energy between them, Rocco finally shooting on Ashlyn's chin and breasts. After the orgy, on their way home, Rocco is grumpy since his energy has been partially drained by Deidre during her transformation... Things get worse when Ashlyn turns up again at their home. While titled as sequels to Damiano's 1973 masterpiece, DMJ 3 /4 is closer to a remake, or even more appropriately, a re-telling of Damiano's tale. In fact, besides the name of the heroine and the film itself, as well as the basic premise of a woman dying and ending up in Hell, this film has no similarities to either of the earlier two entries in the series. VCA has collected Devil in Miss Jones 3: A New Beginning and Devil in Miss Jones 4: The Final Outrage together for this set which makes sense since the two films are actually one film split in half. Gregory Dark's set of two films is very different than Gerard Damiano's original film and are very much a product of the 80s in their visual stylings. The two films are well done and definately worth seeing. VCA has done a good job with their release of the two films on this set with good video despite lacking extras. [read the full review]

Distraught over dirty dreams, an innocent, God-fearing, young woman named Peaches (played by the big-busted brunette legend, Keisha) embarks upon a journey of self- (and sexual-) exploration that takes her on one hell of a wild (...and often awkward...) ride. Such is the case in "Pretty Peaches 3", a very good, 1989 release from acclaimed director, Alex deRenzy, and VCA. [read the full review]

Directed by Alex De Renzy, "Pretty Peaches 3" garnered much in the way of critical and popular acclaim when it was first released back in 1989. Now, over a decade later, the video holds up only middlingly well despite it's "classic' status. I am not at all sure if today's "XXX-Generation" (those who maintain a steady diet of Max Hardcore and Sodomania) videos will have the patience for it. Shot on film, the DVD is much sharper and has better colors than its original VHS incarnation. For an old-timer like me, it was great to see actresses like Rachel Ryan, Victoria Paris, Tianna and Keisha back in action, although their best work has yet to hit DVD.The movie follows Keisha "on a quest for spritual enlightenment," but her encounters are more physical than anything else. Despite the fashion period of that time, Keisha looks great in just about every scene she's in. However, for whatever reason, Director De Renzy has chosen to mute her sexual performance and the results are disappointing. [read the full review]

Plot Synopsis: This movie is the story of Peaches, a young and naive virgin, trying to find answers to her confusing emotions. The film begins with Peaches (Keisha) and her friend, Sandy (Lynn LeMay), talking about Sandy's experience of letting a guy look at her "under the sheets."
