If you've seen it before, you know Coed Fever is one of the must own classics. If you haven't and you are a fan of the classics, this is one to pick up now. The movie has been given horrible treatment on the disc by Caballero, as per their norm, but for it's age, it isn't too bad if you can forgive the horrible disc mastering. The disc is hard to find but is well worth seeking out and well worth the purchase price. [read the full review]

That's not to say that it isn't without its flaws, of course. Indeed, this film--to a large degree--comes off as "trying too hard" to replicate the type of nonchalant, sexual action/attitude that pervades films like "Barbara Broadcast" and so on. This "review" concerns itself with how the DVD's contents compare with the complete, uncut original release version of the film or an early (before prior self-censorship) VHS version. The Ratings given refer either to the "original" version of the film (Performers, Plot, Sex, etc.) or to the DVD version (Extras, Value, etc.) and are relatively arbitrary. The important info is that which follows. MARASCHINO CHERRY DVD IS THE PITS! Radley Metzgers last hardcore effort under his Henry Paris nom-de-film is finally available on DVD from Video-X-Pix. Well, they saved the worst for last and by that, I dont mean from a content standpoint! Year: 1974 Length: 73 minutes approximately MEMORIES WITHIN MISS AGGIE from 1974 by porn director legend Gerard Damiano is a true classic, that is given a truly terrible dvd transfer. Although advertised as available from Arrow dvd by Excalibur films, this is in fact a transfer they themselves have done of the film from an old Arrow vhs of the film. The transfer is horrible and that is the only thing that keeps me from giving this film a perfect rating. This movie is one of the best porn films I've seen, and it holds it's own as a film story wise also, which is important as this one aims to be a feature. The story behind this film is that Miss Aggie is a slightly crazy middle aged woman, who imagines the ways she met her current companion and she has flashbacks imagining herself as a young woman having sex with him as a young man. The first scene is between Eric Edwards and Kim Pope and it's pretty good, they are both very innocent in this scene. It's strange to see Eric Edwards so young looking as he was in this film. Gerard Damiano's powerful and majestically shot masterpiece inspired by the great French Novel "The Story Of O" is one of the finest hardcore films EVER made by one of the genre's finest directors. Jamie Gillis is Jason, a wealthy socialite who discovers he is dying of a rare (although unnamed) desease. He thus "adopts" a young woman, Joanna (Teri Hall) to keep him company during his final days. She however is unaware of his ailments. Their relationship quickly turns from one of short term lovers to a violent bondage filled endurance test for poor Joanna who is tormented in just about every way possible. Slowly, as their profane relationship continues to develop, Jason becomes weaker and weaker due to his mysterious ailment while Joanna grows stronger and stronger through her torments... General Impression This is a truly funny parody of just about every space-themed tv show or movie that I've seen. The humor is closest in temperament to the smirky, wry Mystery Science Theater 3000. The budget for this feature was $200,000 -- about six times the amount that Morgan is usually given. No expense was spared, and it shows in the impressive costumes, stage sets, special effects, and makeup. I found it thoroughly enjoyable, and would recommend it to friends. Several of the actors did a particularly fine job, Evan Stone, Devinn Lane, Mike Horner, and Randy Spears among them. Over the years, Private have seemingly stuck with the same directors which in the end delivered a great deal of features with the same overall feeling. Adamo is undoubtably a good director, with a great eye for beautiful women, however the sex has always lacked. Before his migration to Hustler, Woodman had also very good quality showings. After a while though, it felt like we were seeing the same thing from Private over and over. New Private director Tom Herald takes control of this feature. And even though it isnt the best porn film ever, it is a breath of fresh air that Private so desperately needed. There are some new concepts here, that have been seen rarely from Private, such as guys coming inside the actress, or the woman masturbating after the guy has done his thing! Hustler has repackaged their two part Arsenic film series into this box set. Given that this film isn't as good as Pierre Woodman is capable of, buying this box set makes a much better value for fans of the film and the cast members. Viewers who like a real plot with their film, nasty sex, very tame sex or hate the intrusion of any form of plot will want to skip this title. Fans of Woodman or the cast members might want to check out the title, but a rental is probably a better choice so if you don't want to watch the film again you don't feel ripped off. The protagonist's name has been changed from Dorian Grey to "Darrin Blue," (played amazingly by Wade Nichols). And instead of a painting, his youthful image is captured on a porn film that his liberated 1920's flapper girlfriend (Georgina Spelvin) secretly had made of them making love outdoors. When she shows it to him later, he wishes that the image on the film could get old, and that he could stay youthful forever. You might have guessed that that is exactly what happens. The 1930s have Wade Nichols doing a remarkable imitation of James Cagney, during the 1940s, he's doing Humphrey Bogart (and Annette Haven). During the 50s, he's doing James Dean and making love on his motocycle. During the 1960s, still as youthful as ever, he is, you guessed it, a hippie doing drugs and having an orgy.
