Sweet Hearts (Vivid) Review

I've been kind of on a Paul Thomas kick lately, so I thought I would check out one of his lesser known titles. Now I know why this is one of his lesser known titles.

The Movie: I'm going to keep this pretty short, and not do a scene by scene. All the sex is decent, but if you are a fan of anyone in the cast, then you can probably find better stuff. Everything here is very middle of the road.

The plot of the movie is this: Savanna and Dale use to be a big deal porn couple. Savanna has moved on to Lee Stone, and Dale just hasn't moved on. Dale sees the light though when the company they work for says that both of them have to perform in a scene together again, since they both owe the scene for their contracts. So, now Dale is trying to get Savanna back, but there is also Dru, who wants Dale. Who will end up with who?

My response to the plot above is... who cares. The plot is really jumpy, and very oddly handled. Everything sounds pretty straight forward, and all the acting is top notch, but the editing is WAY off. Scenes don't makes sense, and the flow of everything is really jumpy. It also doesn't help that the camera work sucks!

Still, as I said earlier, all the acting is top notch, with Lezley Zen impressing me here (as she did with Debbie does Dalles: The Revenge), and Savanna and Dale play their characters very well. Dru does what she has to do, but her accent makes her lines come off odd, and she doesn't always look her best in this movie.

The sex is nothing special. If you want good Savannah, you can find it elsewhere. If you want good Dru, you can find it elsewhere. If you want good Lezley, you can find it elsewhere. Everything here s pretty average.

Tech Stuff: The picture is the usual Vivid Film to DVD fair. Everything is grainy, and blotchy. They really need to get someone better to handle the DVD transfers. The audio isn't that great either. This is more because of how the movie was filmed, and less because of the DVD though.

Extras: The usual. The behind the scenes stuff is rather dull, but the rest holds up to the usual Vivid standards.

OverAll: I would say skip it. Paul Thomas has way better movies out there, and so does Savannah. If you have to have every Savannah movie, then get it, but otherwise, get something else. Bad Wives, HeartBreaker, The Awakening, and the Masseuse are ten times better.
