Review brief: How, you may ask, can I give 4 stars for the performers' looks and only ½ a star to the film as a whole? Because this is the most irritating film I have ever seen. It had everything going for it: handsome guys, a spectacular locale. But it also had something else: a director who fucked it up. What a tragedy! Mike Esser began his career doing soft pornthe only kind that was allowed in Britain at the time. As a result he still directs as if this is what hes doing. There are scads of double exposures, jump cuts, cross-fades, and much editing and camera-play. Actually these occur every 4 seconds! I actually counted and every 4 seconds something happened to the picture. EVERY 4 SECONDS! I began to feel woozy. Soon I even experienced motion sickness and acquired a headache. Anyone with epilepsy should definitely avoid this film, as it will certainly trigger a seizure. Its like trying to watch sex under a strobe light. Theres a bit of a plot, if you can follow it though all the blips and fades and double exposures. Young Rory has come to Australia.

Review brief: The film opens with Dawson (the smiling guy on the cover) walking on the beach and writing Treasure Island presents and The Meat Rack in the wet sand. As all know, The Meat Rack is chosen cruising ground on Fire Island. Its been the setting for manynow sixof Michael Lucas super films. But comparing this foray into tedium with the films of Lucas would be like comparing a Michelangelo sculpture to a childs creation out of silly putty. Dawson is not unattractive and theres a skinny hairy dude known as Little Joe (did his parents watch Bonanza?) who is rather sexy. But if the rest of the cast appeared on Bravos new show about people and their dogs it would be hard to tell the owners from the mutts. This film proves beyond any doubt that just because guys are fucking bareback it doesnt make for a hot film. It takes much more than that. A good director, videographer and editor are essential requirements. This film seems aimless. The camera shakes and sometimes intrudes into scenes. The editing is a mess. Guys pop into scenes like characters from Bewitched.

Review brief: For those of us who have been watching Brazilian hunks in various films and perhaps have our Brazilian Holiday in the planning stages, this filmuntil we can make the trip in personwill serve paradoxically both as a pacifier and a further stimulus to our travel plans. Young Directors 1 was a great film, and I looked forward to this one eagerly. Alas, it was nowhere near the first of this title. For one thing, Young Directors 1 was actually done by Justin Slater and others with a camera. That is not really the case here. Now and then a guy is given a camera, but it seems merely an inconsistent prop with no true function. What we have are the usual four scenes of twosomes with an occasional intrusion into the action by a cameraman. But the excitement and fun of number 1 is sadly missing.

Review brief: I am a big fan of Brad Poseys photos, so I was really looking forward to this hardcore feature. I suppose I expected too much. At any rate I was disappointed. There are only token setups to the action. Two guys are playing basketball. One throw determines wholl top. Or three guys will just be sitting around and one will say, You owe us a blowjob. No real problem there though as the sex is what were after. But the trouble is it just doesnt engender any heat. There are six scenes: (1) The basketball duo that opens the film. (2) A threesome that takes place on a sofa (you owe us a blowjob) (3) A scene with two guys in the bedroom, joined by a third who comes for the bathroom. (4) A solo on the beach (ironically the best thing in the film. The guy is hot and, as he cums while lying on his back on the sand, the first volley of cum flies over his head. Awesome!) (5) A repeat of scene three with three different guys. (6) A foursome. (Actually two pairs as they do not interact or change partners.) Now and then these youngsters steal a glance at the camera.
