Reviewed on: 10/17/2015

Studio: Kink.com

Starring: Dylan Ryan, India Summer, Wenona, Lorelei Lee, Aiden Starr, Ariel X, Dragon Lily, Chanel Preston, Maitresse Madeline Marlowe

Review brief: Barbarella: A Kinky Parody is the web series from Kink brought to DVD, which is short on plot but long on fetish. If you are looking for a feature film, this will be an easy pass for you. If you like the fetish sites of Kink and dislike too much plot getting in the way of the sex scenes then they have done an excellent job with this release.

Review brief: The Dating Game XXX: A Porn Parody is but one in a long series of parodies being put out by the adult entertainment industry in bulk. Sadly, it falls into the pitfalls that hinder most of the parody movies being produced there isn't much of the parody and the sex scenes seem forced into the movie. The Dating Game XXX: A Porn Parody ultimately ends up being rather standard fare. Vivid has given the movie a good presentation on DVD but the extras are lacking.

Review brief: Marriage 2.0 is an ambitious movie to come from Lionreach and Adam & Eve, trying to pair a mainstream feel with an adult movie. While it isn't entirely successful in this endeavor, the end result is a nice relief for fans of feature films from the standard fare coming out of the adult movie industry for the most part these days.

Review brief: Not Another Low Budget Porn Movie is a completely unremarkable adult movie that generally serves no purpose. If the movie was trying to be amusing, it completely failed. In trying to create the low budget porn movie feel, the sex scenes themselves are diminished to the point of making this truly bad porn.

Review brief: ...And Then Came Eve is a mess of an adult film from the mid-70s. If there was a coherent plot at any point in its existence, it has long since been removed from the film. While the sex scenes aren't bad, the utter incompetency behind the creation of the film and the lackluster release from VCX makes this an easy film to skip.

Review brief: Bible! is a silent softcore telling of three biblical tales by gay pornographer Wakefield Poole. The film, designed for heterosexuals, is an arty journey through the stories of Adam and Eve, David and Bathsheba, and Samson and Delilah. The presentation from Vinegar Syndrome is outstanding with a beautiful feature presentation and tons of extras that relate to the feature film.

Review brief: Scarlette's Family Affairs appears to be several shot for the internet scenes collected together and loosely connected with narrative footage now being presented as a feature movie. The total lack of character development removes the taboo nature that the movie intends to depict and slipshod shooting of the movie removes any potential that the movie might have had. This is an easy title to pass on.

Review brief: Depraved is a relatively standard compilation of scenes from unrelated adult films spanning from what looks like the 1970s through the 1990s. Review brief: The Private Pleasures of John Holmes is notable because it is the only gay film to have starred John Holmes. Directed by: Edward D. Wood, Jr., Richard Benedict

Review brief: The Young Marrieds collection from Alpha Blue Archives, fully titled The Young Marrieds Plus the Lost Films of Alice Friedland Five-Film Collection, brings Ed Wood's believed-to-be lost film The Young Marrieds along with the films Kiss My Analyst, Analyze Your Sex, and The Adventures of Flash Beaver. Discerning readers will note the list only includes four films, not five as the full box title states. The obvious highlight of the collection for many interested people will be the only hardcore film on the release The Young Marrieds, being one of Ed Wood's lost films, which, honestly, is a rather disappointing feature. Analyze My Sex is honestly not worth watching by anyone for any reason. Kiss My Analyst was not an awful but has a sub-par transfer. The Adventures of Flash Beaver was an awful film with a transfer that was not of watchable quality.
