Directed by: Bob Chinn

Review brief: The China Cat is the tenth film in the Johnny Wadd film series and a spoof on Charlie's Angels. While not the best entry in the series, the film is still a fun one and worth watching. I-Candy's transfer does leave something to be desired though.

Starring: John Alexander, Bud Coal, Debbie Collins, David F. Hurry, Tim Lowery, Marie McLeod, Bill Oleander, Jamie Orlando
Directed by: Bob Hollowich

Review brief: Sexcula is a bizarre adult film to have come out of the 70s. The concept behind the initial story holds promise but the execution, and I am assuming severe production issues, render the film to a jumbled mess that is hard to watch. Impulse Pictures has done a great job with the video and audio presentation on the disc.

Directed by: Bob Kirk

Review brief: Alpha Blue Archives' XXX Spy Sex-O-Rama collects three titles from the early 70s, all with a spy theme, Agent 69, The California Connection, and Jane Bond. Two of the films, Agent 69 and Jane Bond, aren't really worth watching at all. The third, The California Connection, is an enjoyable film that is well worth watching. However the film is incomplete on this release. Alpha Blue Archives poor quality masters make this release not worth watching.

Studio: Excalibur Films

Directed by: Adele Robbins

Review brief: While the concept of the film is ripe for a good adult version and writer Arthur King has proven in the past that he can write some incredibly good adult films, Maxine is a relatively standard 80s shot on video presentation never rising to where it could. That combined with Excalibur Films' poor distribution of the movie makes it an easy one to pass on.

Directed by: Bob Vosse

Review brief: Sex Wars is a fun comedic sci-fi parody to come out of the mid-80s. The story is engaging and the sex scenes are well done. The picture is in good shape but the release is flawed by only being available as a manufacture on demand disc.

Review brief: Ten Little Indians is a great film to have come out of the 80s. It is a parody, yet takes on its own version of the story instead of just mimicking the original. The film has a great balance of sex and story as well as working in true comedy.

Review brief: This release from Vinegar Syndrome collects two films from director Alan Colberg and star John Holmes. Tapestry of Passion, the eighth Johnny Wadd film, doesn't fit in well with the series, but is an amazing adult film from the 1970s and should not be missed. All Night Long is a comedy, which is okay but nowhere on the level of Tapestry of Passion. The presentation of both films by Vinegar Syndrome is amazing.

Review brief: The Return of Johnny Wadd was the last entry in the Johnny Wadd series, which was made without any participation from series creator Bob Chinn. Overall, the movie is your typical 1980s quicky and isn't anything remarkable. This edition contains a later re-edit of the film, has missing footage, and includes a scene never intended for the original film. For this reason, this edition is not recommended.

Review brief: The Danish Connection is the fifth entry in the Johnny Wadd series that doesn't fit in very well with the film canon. It was the first in the series not to be directed by Bob Chinn and is also the only softcore entry in the film series. The film itself is fun and enjoyable, but Something Weird Video's release leaves a lot to be desired.

Review brief: Jungle Blue has been an almost impossible film to come across since its original release and probably should have stayed that way as the film is far better in concept than in application. Vinegar Syndrome has done an amazing job with their release of the film that may interest fans of some of the stars. Unless you are a fan of the film, I would pass on this release.

Review brief: During the Golden Age of adult films, there were many enjoyable adult films produced with good plots and good acting. The birth of DVD has caused a great many of those films to see the light of day again allowing those who enjoyed them in the theaters to enjoy them today along with a whole new audience that never got the chance to see them in the theaters originally. Along with these true classic adult films, the bottom of the barrel of the one day wonders are also resurfacing. Adult films that for all right should have been lost to time that are also being brought back out to the light of day. Unfortunately, Three Cheers for B.J.U. is the latter.
