The Movie |
Jane Bond Meets Thunderballs is the second of the Jane Bond adult movies to come out in the mid-80s following License to Thrill. Like the first entry, the plot is almost non-existent essentially serving as an introduction to each sex scene. In a slight improvement, there are a few non-sex portions that were shot. They don't add up to much and this is far from a movie that I would recommend for the story. There is also no real attempt to keep the scenes within the story. For instance, Odd Joint (Scott Irish) is presented as having the deformity of having a cock that kind of looks like it has a french tickler on it. After the blow job, for the actual sex scene with Judy Ross (Beverly Glen) and cum shot his cock is normal.
In this entry, Doctor Yes and Octopussy (Krista Lane) have been captured by Jane Bond (Stacey Donovan) and Thunderballs (Sasha Gabor) tries to get them back. The sex scenes are nicely shot and the cast looks good. If you are a fan of one of the stars, there is nothing within the scenes themselves to turn you away from the movie, with the possible exception that Sasha Gabor keeps an eye patch on during his scene. The sets are cheap and rather generic, which was average for this time period. Jane Bond Meets Thunderballs is the standard fare for what passed for a feature film in the mid-to-late 80s. Jane Bond Meets Thunderballs is followed by Jane Bond 0069 Meets Octopussy.
The Edition |
Jane Bond Meets Thunderballs was shot on video and is presented in the full screen aspect ratio. Caballero's presentation of the movie displays a soft picture and contains mild video glitches. The colors are a little muted. The movie is presented with a Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural presentation which is adequate for the material being presented. The disc is poorly mastered with the movie spanning over two title tracks. The only extra contained on the release is a photo gallery.
Final Thoughts |
Jane Bond Meets Thunderballs is your average mid-to-late 80s shot on video feature movie; it is light on plot but features decent sex scenes. Caballero's presentation of the movie is adequate.
