Wild and Wicked #6 is anything but. Theres nothing wild or wicked about the plot, women, or sex in this 1995 movie. It is rather bland; vanilla is more exciting. Alicia Rio is the hostess of a radio sex talk show. She talks (seemingly forever) to her callers, then the fantasy or scenario is acted out. Ho hum! Her first caller is Nici Sterling, who tells Alicia shed like to try a woman Alicia being her first choice to break her lez cherry. They end up in bed, going through the motions. I had viewed this and Knockout back to back, and I have to say, this one stuck with me more, but don't expect your usual Wicked fare with Indigo Delta. While not extreme in the sex department, it is much darker, and more violent than I was expecting. The Movie: Okay, I have to say, this movie captures the feel of a pulp thriller perfectly. Everything feels seedy and yet hot. The story and the sex flow together very well, and in the end, I couldn't have been more impressed. The sex in this movie starts very light, with a fantasy sequence from one of Serenity's books. It's a false safety net for what we can expect later on, and over all works. As the movie moves on though, the sex gets darker, and more extreme, since most of them come from Serenity's twisted mind. This DVD is your typical no-budget porn disc. There are a few girls who could rank as "cute", and the only girls who are borderline hot are Asia Carrera and Kitty Yung. In fact, Asia Carrera has been in the business so long that it seems like she's in every single video that has the word "asians" in the title. I don't even watch her anymore! Too many of the other chicks are skanky ho's. In fact, some of these girls don't even look asian. How did they get on this DVD? The sex is mostly uninspired and boring. The only redeeming quality I could mention is that in a couple of scenes it's fun to watch small Asian girls get pounded by huge black dicks... but even in those scenes, the girls really don't seem like they're into it. They make noise, but in some cases it sounds more like cows mooing than chicks getting rammed. The only extra feature to speak of is a series of phone sex ads. Boooooooring. "Bad" is probably the weakest John Leslie movie I have seen. Even weak John Leslie is usually better than 90 of the usual porn, but this movie is a true disappointment and deserves it's title. Still I have to say that weak John Leslie films are ten times better than weak Paul Thomas movies. One of the problems of this DVD is that it is so edited down. IAFD lists the original as 82 minutes and the DVD version runs 67. It has a huge emphasis on storyline and style, rather than sex, which at times makes some of the sexual scenarios seem pointless or uninteresting. The plot itself is amazing: Ironic, full of twists and turns, and unpredictable. It is the porn equivalent of a Hitchcock movie. Ona Z plays a lonely woman who likes to watch her neighbor Ellen's (Shanna McCullough) daily trysts with lover George Anton (John Leslie). Ona's in love with George and thinks that he should be hers. Who Should Watch It : Anybody whos more interested in plot than sex Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants to see pop shots and penetrations Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but a couple background noises do intrude into the movie. There are also a couple spots that appear to have been dubbed. The dubbing appears to have been very well done, but things still dont seem to quite line up like they should. The video is often a bit dark, and also has a bit of grain. I know this feature was made in the late nineties, but the video quality makes it look more like it was from the early nineties. Since there is a substantial plot to the movie, I digress from my usual synopsis/sex scene listing/conclusion review formula to describe the way the movie unfolds from start to finish. Review : After the (hokey-looking) Femme logo, we are treated to soft music and Missy examining a set of photographs she apparently took for a New York ad firm (yes folks, she's a renowned photographer allright) when Sharon Mitchell as her best friend enters the scene. Pretty star-studded lineup, eh? Well, when Raw's under the Vivid line (both sort of "co-promote" this DVD) you can expect a lot of names. From a site standpoint, to make the template for this review, I copied The Other Side Of Chloe's file, which is rather appropriate - this is in the same style as that great DVD, but hosted by the charming Asia Carrera. She strips, fondles and plays with herself while introducing a bunch of separate scenes. Much like TOSOC, the scenes have nothing to do with each other, other than that they're all introed by Asia and they all have sex in them. For some reason, I'm horrible with names while watching this - either they look different or I can't recognize them. For instance, I can't find Dyanna in here, although I looked through all the scenes, and the extras. Maybe I'm just blind. Watching all these DVDs will do that to you after a while. :) No problems with any of the scenes, but my favorites were the lez scene between Asia and Kobe Tai (way too short, though) and of course, Chloe's m/f scene.
