Initial Expectations: I remember watching Twist of Fate long ago on VHS and loving it. I’m hoping for a great DVD as well.

Initial Reaction: It’s nothing too deep, but it’s a nice story with some very good sex.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of Kylie Ireland or Anna Malle and anal sex

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for really hardcore sex or who doesn’t like a plot with their sex.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is normally nicely balanced but seems a little cut off at times when switching from one view to another. It’s also a little uneven in spots. There are also a few minor problems with the video. There are a few small relics near the edge and lighting is very inconsistent. Normally Wicked’s technical quality is much higher than this, but this is an older feature shot on an extremely tight budget.

Music: The music is pretty standard porno music. It’s a little loud at times, but normally nicely balanced.

Menus: The menus are fairly simple, but well done and feature Kylie on each screen.

The Feature: Once upon a time, Kylie Ireland was one of the good girls of adult film, rather than the limit-pushing nasty girl she’s becoming today. Twist of Fate takes the form of a semi-autobiography of Kylie Ireland telling about how she got into the adult film industry while working in her first anal scenes. Much of it is formed around her writing a letter to her parents to let her know that she’s all right and not to worry, even though she’s gotten into adult films. As she looks for a job, she stays with her friend Juli

Raven-tressed Paige Anthony opens things up with Tony Tedeschi, a sleazy agent. Paige is very average looking with a pierced tongue and slightly smaller than average natural breasts. Tony puts his tongue into overdrive to work over Paige’s pussy and ass before pulling her down to suck his cock. It’s a great scene that’s helped out a lot by some excellent chemistry between the three ladies, all of who do a great job.

Dawn Burning, an a good looking bleached blonde, shows how far she’d go to get a part with Mitchell Gant and Steve Hatcher. She eats Anna’s pussy a little before Alex comes over to join in. Before long, the girls are teaming up to give Alex head before both riding him, with Kylie on his cock and Anna on his face. Once again, Kylie takes it in both holes with Anna only taking it in her mouth. Alex finally lets go with his population pudding on Kylie’s ass to end the scene. As with their earlier scene together, both Kylie and Anna really do a great job here. It’s another hot scene that’s sure to please Kylie Ireland fans.

If you’re a fan of Kylie Ireland, which I readily admit to being, this is one of those DVDs you must have. Although the two scenes without Kylie leave a little to be desired, the rest of the scenes are extremely good. Kylie does everything here, from couples with boy girl, to all girl group, to group with boy and girl. This feature is all about Kylie, and she really shines here.

Extras: The both the production and behind the scenes photo galleries lasts a little over two minutes each with about five seconds per photo. The photos are a nice balance of full screen photos and snapshots and normally look pretty good. A few are a little fuzzy, but I guess I’ve come to expect that from photo galleries of older features.

Audio bios are also included for Kylie Ireland, Juli Ashton, Anna Malle, Tony Tedeschi, Steve Hatcher, Alex Sanders, and Tom Byron. As Wicked has been frequently doing lately, the audio bios are tailored just for this DVD. The audio bios include a few stills, some decent personal information, a listing of the star’s Wicked credits, and a link to the star’s scene.

Of course, Wicked’s standard extras are here as well. Wicked has went all out on trailers this time. Trailers are included for Crazed , Double Feature! , Dream Quest , Flashpoint , Heartache , Hell on Heels , Knockout , Pornogothic , Satyr , Sex Safari , Spellbound , The Bride of Double Feature , The Kissing Game , Vengeance , and Working Girl . Wicked’s AVN and Wicked DVD nominations and winners are also included as well as Wicked’s promotional materials, the Wicked Casino, the Wicked Wen, and a company profile.

Although there isn’t a commentary with Kylie Ireland included, which I would have really loved, there is an interview with Kylie that lasts about seventeen and a half minutes with Kylie as she takes a bubble bath. Kylie talks about what she remembers about shooting the movie and how autobiographical the feature is. She also tells a little bit about her history with Juli Ashton as well as some of her other favorite performers are. She tells a great story about shooting Western Nights (which I really hope we see show up on DVD sometime soon). She tells how she got into porn and what she’s learned while working in the adult film industry. Kylie comes across as a really nice, as well as very real person throughout the interview. It’s a great extra, especially with how personal this feature is to Kylie Ireland fans.

Finally, there’s a Kylie Ireland photo gallery Easter egg. It lasts a little over two minutes with five seconds per photo and looks pretty good. A few of the photos are a little fuzzy, but that’s to be expected for the age of the feature.

Overall: Currently, Twist of Fate can be found online for between about $22 and $29, with several stores offering it at the low end. If you’re a fan of Kylie Ireland, this should be at the top of your adult wish list. Kylie’s three scenes cover almost everything and are all very hot. Sadly, the other two scenes aren’t quite as good and the technical quality is lacking in spots. The extras are Wicked’s standard above average selection, with the addition of a great interview with Kylie.
