Initial Expectations: Pretty high since I’ve heard great things about this series (such as reviewer’s review ) and from what I’ve seen of John Leslie’s movies in the past, this seems like a perfect movie for him.

Initial Reaction: It’s great gonzo porn with a nice little twist.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of Buttman and other great gonzo porn, fans of anal sex.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who likes a lot of plot or tame, pretty porno.

Audio /Video Quality: Neither the audio or video are close to perfect. You hear some background noises and the video is plagued by uneven lighting. Although normally I’d complain about this, it’s perfect for the style of the feature.

Music: None.

Menus: Evil Angel has some of the best menus out there. They’re very basic, rather than the animated styles some other studios use, but very well done. The chapter menu lists the chapters by the cast. There’s also a fetish menu that allows you to watch whatever act you want to see.

The Feature: John Leslie’s Voyeur series follows around the Voyeur. Like Evil Angel’s other long running gonzo series, Buttman , the Voyeur always seems to have his video camera handy to catch whatever he stumbles upon. Unlike Buttman , he never acknowledges the camera. Like Buttman, he lives up to his name. The Voyeur never gets completely lucky. He’s just lucky enough to be able to watch many couples have sex and some of them even welcome him to watch. Unfortunately for him, he’s never quite lucky enough for one of those people to be him. Of course, not everybody knows he’s there, so many of the shots are through windows, both clean and dirty, around corners, and otherwise obstructed shots. It’s a good concept, and one that John Leslie’s style of film making enhances to the top of its potential

Selene starts off this third episode of The Voyeur by walking on in a red bra and panties and taking the Voyeur back to see her new spa. It’s a different feel, but it’s different enough that it’s obviously done this way which makes it a lot more artistic rather than appearing sloppy. There is a little regular dialogue, but it isn’t too often. As Jon starts working on her ass and pussy, Jenteal walks in and sits at the end of the row. She watches them and starts playing with herself as she watches both the movie and Jon and Selene. One of the other guys in the movie notices Jenteal and moves up to get a little closer look. Although this is only the first episode I’ve seen in The Voyeur series, it’s already near the top of my favorite gonzo porn. It’s a different feel that sets it apart from other gonzo porn. The Voyeur, although always there, isn’t as present as in most other gonzo features. It’s a great twist and one that I’m looking forward to watching more of.

Extras: There are plenty of extras here for John Leslie fans. Not only is there a bio for John, but there’s also a short commercial for the John Leslie Blues Band. Almost seventeen minutes of trailers are also included featuring Dirty Tricks #1 (which also features Selene), The Voyeur #4, Fresh Meat #2, The Voyeur #5, and The Voyeur #6 . The photo gallery contains 28 snapshots. They vary in quality a little, but overall are pretty good. There’s also a website link.

The most impressive extra is the sex outtakes which lasts almost fifty six minutes. This has become a pretty standard extra on John Leslie’s Evil Angel DVDs, and it’s a nice addition to the overall DVD. It’s all extra footage and includes stuff from almost every scene. Fans of the film making process will really like this as well as fans of the stars. You see other angles of the scenes as well as hearing some of the directions the stars are given. On the negative side, nothing seems that new since you’re just getting a different angle.

Overall: Currently, The Voyeur #3 can be found online for between $23.50 and $30 with most stores offering it for about $25. It’s a little different from other gonzo porn movies, but extremely well done. The transfer appears to be well done although the audio and video aren’t what you normally expect. There aren’t a lot of extras, but what’s there is very good, especially Evil Angel’s menus.

Note to Evil Angel: A little intro to each of the sex outtakes listing the performers in each scene would be a nice addition. Other than that, it’s another great release!
