Fallen Angels (Alpha Blue Archives) review summaries:

review from 7/2/2021:
While held in disdain as a selectively-edited hatchet job against the adult film industry by some insiders, 1985''s "Fallen Angels" nevertheless provides an interesting, contemporaneous behind-the-scenes look at the skin flick world of the mid-1980''s. Re-released digitally by Alpha Blue Archives and streaming on AdultEmpire.com''s Unlimited service, this film largely focuses upon a trio of porn starlets new to the industry (Kristara Barrington, Lisa Lake, and a short-termer named Kim), interviewing them (and, where applicable, their boyfriends) at various points over a several month period. Cheated by an unscrupulous, lustful banker and about to lose their ranch, what's a hard workin' (...and harder fuckin'...) country family to do? Well, if you're Molly Malone and her girls (Samantha Fox, Heather Young, and Daisey Mae), you strike up a partnership with Billy the Kid (Eric Edwards), start up a brothel, and get down to the lucrative business of boinking. Such is the case in "Pussycat Ranch", an overall-good, 1978 release from director John Christopher and Cal Vista. [read the full review]

Waterpower review summaries:
fu_q's
review from 10/17/2016:
Surrounded by the dirt and grime of 1970's New York City, a pervy, imbalanced porn shop creeper and window peeper, Jamie Gillis, finds himself pushed over the edge when he witnesses both an erotic enema at a local brothel and also the object of his obsession having sex with another man. Convinced that he can "cure" women of their perceived "impure behavior" via an enema (whether they like it or not), he goes on a spree that ultimately has him becoming a notorious and deranged rapist. Whether he'll be caught or whether he'll continue to terrorize the city's female population remains to be seen. Such is the case in "Water Power", a very good, 1976 release from Global Media International Films. [read the full review]
Flash's
review from 11/8/2015:
Waterpower is a bizarre film to come from Shaun Costello that has an even more bizarre release history. The TLA Entertainment Exclusive DVD contains two versions of the film on the disc. One called the original version and one called the director's cut. Neither is, to the best of my knowledge either the original version or the director's cut. The video quality is very good on the original version and varies from very good to poor in the director's cut. As of now, The Historic Erotica version appears to be the best release of Waterpower to have come out as of yet, but hopefully someday a definitive version will get released. [read the full review]

Classic 80s feature about a heavy metal" group, The Sextelettes, who seduce their way to the top of music industry food chain in an effort to get the elusive "airplay" for their video, "Hotter Than Hot." The D-Man's
review from 8/17/2009:
You know, even with a steady stream of gonzo flicks, I think that there's always room in for some old-school porn. Of course, to me, old-school means mid-1980 and before. One film I remember seeing on VHS years ago was Rock Hard, with Taija Rae as Adonna, leader of the Sexelettes (with the sexy and legendary Nina Hartley as Cindi and Patti Cakes as Ultra-Box). As you can guess, these ladies will do anything and anyone (DJ's, managers, etc.) to get to the top. [read the full review]

A frustrated, young housewife, the lovely Jesie St. James, finds her inhibitions quickly eroding away when she befriends the neighbor's daughter, Laurie Smith, who also works as a dancer and a prostitute at a local sex club. Of course, it doesn't help matters that Jesie's philandering hubby, Jon Martin, treats her like shit, ignores her sexually, and goes away on "business" far too frequently. So, when she encounters the club and all of its various trappings, a sexual powder keg is set to blow...and that's exactly what it does. review from 1/3/2016:
"Wacky World of X-Rated Bloopers", an overall-decent, 1989 release from Gourmet Video and narrated by Kimberly Carson, is exactly as its name would imply--a collection of bloopers and behind the scenes material from a number of 1980's releases. Funny moments, true missteps, wood issues, and micromanaging directors are all highlighted. A number of stars from the era make appearances, some more so than others, and the release does provide a nice look at life on a porn set from a time period when BTS material really wasn't mass-produced and readily available. While it's not so much a production to get off to, it's certainly interesting and reasonably worth a watch. [read the full review]

It's like a totally awesome time, for sure, like ya' know... when a pair of 1980's LA dykes lose their source of income and opt to pimp out a local group of valley girls as a means of making ends meet. review from 9/2/2017:
It's a dark and lonely world for a corporate prostitute, Tish Ambrose, who, despite having all of her material needs met and then some, only finds true happiness in the letters of a mentally troubled war buddy, Eric Edwards, of her deceased brother. Indeed, Tish appears to have it all as the longstanding head-lady of R. Bolla's cadre of corporate cuties, who provide sexual services to both the better employees of his firm and corrupt politicians alike, yet her heart yearns to quench its emptiness. It's solely Edwards' writings that can fill this void, so it's with great happiness that she greets him when he finally gets up the courage to surprise her with a visit. Of course, this doesn't sit well with Bolla, her boss, whose strong-arm tactics clash with the pair's feelings for one another violently. How it will all end up--happily or in blood...or both--remains the unanswered question of the day. Such is the case in "Corporate Assets", an exceptional, 1985 release. [read the full review]
