Rock Hard (Cal Vista) Review

Rock Hard is a mid 80’s romp that revolves around the rock band, The Sexolettes and their quest to make it big in the video rock world. Starring Tajia Rae, Nina Hartley, and Patti Cakes as the The Sexolettes, we are treated to various combinations of the girls having sex with each other and various guys and a dominatrix in their quest to Rock Hard. What is actually nice about this blast from the past is that it takes us back to the early days of MTV and the low budget videos that no names bands produced and were in the rotation. The music video, while a little corny, was very entertaining. I kid you not, if the rock video scenes in this were pulled from the disk, sanitized a little for television, The Sexolettes could have easily been on MTV. As far as the sex goes, well, it was the mid 80’s when this was shot, so you know what to expect compared to now days. You get the constant going back and forth between the sex act and the facial reactions so we know how good it feels. You also get the fuzzy muffs as was the custom back then and you also get cumshots to said fuzzy muffs. At various times during this release, two different sex scenes are going on, so we jump back and forth between them and sometimes it’s almost like you need a score card to keep track of the players.

Bottom line on this release: You’d be hard pressed to really rub one out to the sex, but it is nice to revisit Tajia Rae and a very hard bodied Nina Hartley.

Extras: Cal Vista Classics realizes that they are putting out rather short movies so they load up the extras with 4 bonus scenes from other late 70’s/early 80’s features.
