Firestorm review summaries:

Hired to ghost-write a book by a wealthy socialite (Kay Parker), Eric Edwards encounters--and takes advantage of--a world in which just about everyone is corrupt. From Parker''s and her husband''s (John Leslie''s) cheating ways to an au pair with sticky fingers (Rikki Harte) to Edwards'' quasi-girlfriend/stripper (Tina Marie), everybody seems to have an angle. The only innocent one? Parker''s and Leslie''s blind daughter (Joanna Storm)...who''s naively looking for love. So goes "Firestorm", an exceptional 1984 release from director Cecil Howard and Command Video. [read the full review]

Spitfire review summaries:

From its catchy opening score, cleverly-cut credits, and nostalgic shots of old-school New York City, it''s clear that the audience is in for a fun and sexy treat with "Spitfire", an exceptional 1984 release from director Cecil Howard and Command Video. Reproduced beautifully at Hotmovies.com, this production is in many ways pornographic poetry in motion from start to finish. Exquisitely captured and edited, this film is centered around a corrupt professor-turned-politician (R. Bolla) whose "chastity belt" agenda has caught on nationally and is bringing in millions. Of course, he''s actually a perv and a fraud, his daughter (Tigr) is an insatiable nymphomaniac, and his wife (Samantha Fox) is a gold digger in every sense of the word. Needless to say, the storyline is intricate, well-crafted and comical, the acting is superb throughout, and the end result is a true Golden Age classic that should not be missed. Fallen Angels (Alpha Blue Archives) review summaries:
fu_q's
While held in disdain as a selectively-edited hatchet job against the adult film industry by some insiders, 1985''s "Fallen Angels" nevertheless provides an interesting, contemporaneous behind-the-scenes look at the skin flick world of the mid-1980''s. Re-released digitally by Alpha Blue Archives and streaming on AdultEmpire.com''s Unlimited service, this film largely focuses upon a trio of porn starlets new to the industry (Kristara Barrington, Lisa Lake, and a short-termer named Kim), interviewing them (and, where applicable, their boyfriends) at various points over a several month period. Taboo Identity: The Evolution of Kay Taylor Parker, A review summaries:
Flash's
A Taboo Identity is a great documentary for fans of the adult movie industry, especially fans of the golden age of adult films. Not only does A Taboo Identity chronicle what Kay Taylor Parker has done since she retired from acting in adult films, the movie also tackles the stigma of life after adult movie acting and the difference between how adult actors and actresses are perceived by the public versus how the actors and actresses view themselves. Soundview Media Partners and MVD Visual have done a nice job with their DVD release of A Taboo Identity with nice audio and video quality. [read the full review]

Taboo 2 / Taboo 3 (Vinegar Syndrome Blu-Ray) review summaries:
Flash's
Taboo 2, while not as good as Kirdy Stevens' original Taboo, is an enjoyable feature adult film. The cast does an amazing job with their sex scenes and do a great job with the non-sexual scenes. Taboo 3, on the other hand, is a massive let down with a poor story that does little to connect with the first two films and seems like just an attempt to cash in on the Taboo name. Most viewers likely won't have any interest seeing the film more than once. Taboo 2 makes this release worth picking up. Vinegar Syndrome has done a great job with this release. Taboo 2 has some issues with the video and audio but is still the best release of Taboo 2 on the market and Taboo 3 looks absolutely stunning. [read the full review]

X-Rated: The Greatest Adult Films of All-Time is a fun look at a series of films and movies that are culturally important to the adult entertainment industry from 1972 until 2013. X-Rated skimps on the historical impact that each of the included films had. However, the documentary is a nostalgic look through some of the best films to ever grace the blue screen. After the documentary is over, if you are a fan of feature films, you will want to rewatch films you had forgotten about and seek out others that you have missed. The fine folks at Vinegar Syndrome have scanned and restored two classic flicks from their original 35 mm camera negatives. Both films feature real life lovers Arcadia Lake and Eric Edwards and one of the films, BELLA from 1980, might just be one of the best from that era, while the other flick, ROBIN'S NEST from 1979, is a solid little xxx comedy. So, PEEKARAMA: ROBIN'S NEST/BELLA (2016, Vinegar Syndrome) becomes an easy rave recommendation for those classic fuck flick aficionados, who will finally get to see BELLA in a beautiful wide screen restoration along with some solid BELLA extras including a video interview with cinematographer Carter Stevens and a terrific original trailer. Too Naughty To Say No (Vinegar Syndrome) review summaries:
Rick L. Blalock's
In the 1984 film, TOO NAUGHTY TO SAY NO, "Betty"(Angel) is a good little Catholic Schoolgirl, who attends the local convent. Betty is studying her scriptures hard, as it is the day before the school's final exam. However, no matter how much she studies, she is hung up on a single, word, which appears several times throughout the writings. That would is "begat". She's not quite sure what it means. However, little did she know that soon enough, she would get at a heavy dose of "begatting"(of orgasms!). That's because soon, Betty doses off to sleep, as she subsequently finds her in a world unlike the one that she is accustomed. To her, it all looks the same, that is until things take a turn for the perverse. [read the full review]

Too Naughty to Say No is a fun adult film that features a good story and a stellar cast. The sex scenes are well done and the film is entertaining. Vinegar Syndrome has done a great job with this release. There isn't much for extras but the transfer is beautiful. [read the full review]

Private Afternoons Of Pamela Mann, The (Video X Pix) review summaries:
fu_q's
When a wheeling-and-dealing businessman, played by Alan Marlow, suspects his ultra-active wife, the lovely blonde, Barbara Bourbon, of cheating on him during her various afternoon activities, only a pervy, self-described "peeping tom" and private eye, Eric Edwards, can help him uncover the truth. Of course, as it turns out, that truth may not be everything that it initially seems. Such is the case in "The Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann", an outstanding, 1975 release from Video-X-Pix (and DistribPix) and acclaimed director Radley Metzger. [read the full review]

Christy Canyon Triple Feature 4 review summaries:
Flash's
Alpha Blue Archives' Christy Canyon Triple Feature Four brings together three mid-80s shot on video movies that are only related by the fact that Christy Canyon stars in all three of them. The three movies contained on the release are John Stagliano's Evil Angel, a hardbody feature, Hal Freeman's Sinfully Yours, an essentially all sex movie, and Mark Carriere's Savage Fury, a video roughie. Sinfully Yours is the best of the movies on the release with both Evil Angel and Savage Fury feeling like they were rushed productions. Overall, this is a rather disappointing collection of Christy Canyon movies. Alpha Blue Archives has done a poor job with their release of Christy Canyon Triple Feature Four utilizing some rather abysmal transfers. [read the full review]

Pussycat Ranch review summaries:
fu_q's
Cheated by an unscrupulous, lustful banker and about to lose their ranch, what's a hard workin' (...and harder fuckin'...) country family to do? Well, if you're Molly Malone and her girls (Samantha Fox, Heather Young, and Daisey Mae), you strike up a partnership with Billy the Kid (Eric Edwards), start up a brothel, and get down to the lucrative business of boinking. Such is the case in "Pussycat Ranch", an overall-good, 1978 release from director John Christopher and Cal Vista. [read the full review]

Captain Jack's
I remember this movie from when it first came out. It combined two all American passions: Cheerleaders and football. This was the era of NFL cheerleaders posing in men's magazines and TV movies about the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders so the adult industry had no choice but to capitalize on it. But looking back on it now, you can tell the era it was filmed in. The lighting isn’t that good, the sex scenes are short and the women are very average looking. [read the full review]
