5 Rooms: Devinn Lane, Dee, Kelsey, Kristal Summers, Gauge, April, Sandy Knight, Sabrina Love-Cox, Breena (Wicked Pictures) Directed by: Jim Enright Basic Plot - Devinn is the only person working in a hotel on New Year's Eve. So she must handle all of the duties (desk clerk/bellhop/room service/maid/etc). This movie reminds me of the old silent comedies in that Devinn's performance is entirely physical. She doesn't speak until the last few minutes of the movie. There is a slight editing glitch at time index 0:10:56. Looks like just an abrupt cut that didn't fit together well. First up is the bachelorette party with Breena, Sabrina Love-Cox and Sandy Knight. The stripper they hired didn't show so they bribe Devinn into stripping for them. Devinn does a very good job of dancing badly. Once she is done they of course drag her onto the bed to have sex with them. This scene is not up to Devinn's usual standard's. This movie is very dialogue heavy, and all the sex is very spaced out. There are several really well done strip scenes, but I don't know if many would find them all that worthy of wank material. This is certainly one of the better Vivid feature I have seen as of late. The cast is very respectable, with some great performances from Raylene, Ryan Connor, April, and Kylie Ireland. The reason this DVD is not getting a higher score from me is because, even though there is some real heat generated in some of these scenes, it was never maintained for very long, because if bad editing decisions and poor camera work. It really is a shame in my opinion because you can see that there are some excellent performances here, but they are not captured as well as they should be. CAPSULE'S REVIEW Flesh Peddlers 9 by Michael Adam (90 min.) Featuring: Bailey, Sydnee Steele, Houston, Dominica Leoni, Juliet Sheridan, Jessica Jewel, Kitten, Candy Cotton, and April Synopsis: Fun in the sun sex! Overall: One word: Mediocre. DVD Quality: Metro's encoding technology is very poor. The image quality looks almost like VHS! On re-viewing the sex scenes, I found many of them to be better than I remembered, so I suppose my initial impression might have been too negative. By any other standard, "Misty Rain's Worldwide Sex Vol. 2: Wild in Paris," is a complete success and shows that the brilliant hardcore gonzo videos directed by women still live thrive, even in Shane's absence (recent volumes of "Shane's World" have not lived up to the predecessor of their departed originator). So with that in mind, it should be noted that like "Misty Rain's Worldwide Sex Vol. 1: Cannes Festival Du Film 2000" this title is actually an all-around winner of a dirty movie. However, when compared to "Volume One" of Misty Rain's best video work yet (her "Misty Cam" work of the late 1990s was a bit lackluster, I thought), "Volume Two," like all sequels of certified blockbusters, falls just a wee bit short of true greatness. Naturally, Misty does terrific work whenever she performs for the camera, and her opener with English-illiterate Titof is simply Misty magic, with all the passion and extended foreplay one expects from this sex kitten.
