Synopsis:
This film is a compilation of scenes involving Shane from prior New Machine films and some scenes from other New Machine films that don't include Shane at all.

Audio/Video:
Shane Exposed has an English 2.0 Stereo track, which works well for the material being presented here. The audio quality varies throughout the film as the scenes are pulled from different films and in some places the audio sounds monaural. Despite the varying quality of the audio, all dialog in the film is clear and easy to hear. No other language tracks have been included on this disc and no subtitle options have been included at all on this disc.

Shane Exposed is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for all of the source material included in the film. The picture quality varies throughout the film from poor to acceptable. There are places with occasional video glitches, colors shifting and the colors being over saturated. Some places of the film are grainy as well. Although in some places the picture quality is rather poor, below that of your standard VHS picture, the film is watchable.

Special Features:
As far as extras go, this disc is rather weak containing only the most basic of extras. There is the Shane Biography which is a short text feature taking about Shane. The photo gallery contains only 10 stills that you flip through yourself. There is the contact info for New Machine Publishing. And finally, there are previews for Burn, Seymore Butts 2, Up & Cummers 101, Please Cum Inside Me 6, and Dirty Debutantes 46.

Navigation:
Although there are 31 chapter stops included in the feature film, there is no chapter menu available for the feature film. This makes it inconvenient for viewers to find a specific portion of the film which is especially poor for a compilation film. There is a time code for the feature film, so time searching can be used to find the portion you are looking for.

General Review:
Shane Exposed is an extremely poor attempt at a compilation film from New Machine Publishing. Don't get me wrong, the young Shane featured in her scenes, from 1994 to 1995, is exceeding cute but this film doesn't offer what the viewer is looking for. The first issue that I have with the film is although the film runs for an hour and 51 minutes, only the first 53 minutes of the film feature Shane at all. The second issue is that other than lesbian sex, Shane never has sex in the film.

The first scene, pulled from More Dirty Debutantes 47, is a let down. She gives a great masturbation scene, but Ed Powers jerking himself off in the back doesn't add to the scene. The closest she comes to having sex is licking Ed's balls at the end of the scene. The reason for the lack of sex is explained by text on the screen that states she can't due to her current contract. The second scene, pulled from Seymore & Shane Do Ireland, is a decent lesbian scene with her and Kylie Ireland. The third scene, pulled from Seymore & Shane: Playing with Fire, features her giving a blow job to fireman Marv, who for some reason has a problem becoming aroused by Shane, but also features no sex. This is the extent of the scenes involving Shane.

The other two scenes don't belong in this compilation but should have been included as bonus scenes in the extras. The only reason for their addition, since they don't feature Shane at all, is to pad out the running time of the film. One is from the recent film Real Female Masturbation 6 featuring April Flowers which is another masturbation scene and the last one is from Up & Cummers 13 featuring Michaela Adkins and Randy West which is the only scene in the film to feature male/female sexual intercourse. The sexual themes in the film are oral and vaginal sex with female masturbation, toys, male masturbation, lesbianism, anilingus and strap-on sex.

Parting Thoughts:
Although extremely dedicated fans of Shane may need to acquire this disc for their collection, other viewers will be extremely disappointed by this release. The poor video quality combined with the fact that there is only one sex scene that actually features sex and the fact that Shane is in only half the film makes this film hard to recommend to anyone. If you are truly interested in this disc, I recommend renting it first as that will probably satiate any desire to purchase the disc. If you do purchase the disc, don't pay much for it.
