I don't automatically hate compilations, but I am of the opinion that even when they're good, they're just okay; when they're bad, they stink. (Apologies to the memory of Mae West.) I've always felt that their purpose was as a sampler of movies, not as a fulfilling experience in their own right. That said, "Sodomania Slop Shots 9" is just okay; it's a collection of 55 short clips from various Elegant Angel flicks, many of which excerpt some hot and nasty sex, despite the brevity of the scenes (all scenes are around two minutes in length). Roughly half are decent or above, with about a quarter of the remainder falling into the "avoid at all costs" category. On the negative side, the overall female attractiveness level is fairly low. True, there are some cuties here, and some of the women I enjoyed watching weren't what you'd call gorgeous. I'd recommend a rental for those inclined toward more than a few of women listed, or those interested in a large collection of short, raunchy clips and able to tolerate some skankiness.

I had an interest in only a few of the female cast going in (in no particular order, Mirage, April, Aurora, Silvia, Dominica, Asia, Kristina, and Jade), and I liked all of their scenes here. I can't say that I added anyone to my "must see" list, but I counted 21 scenes that I would watch again (with twelve that I'm sorry I watched, due to the high skank level of the clips in question). Not too shabby for this sort of thing. The men (all uncredited; I recognized about half, I guess) ranged from the tolerable to the rather gross.

As expected, the sex is quite raunchy throughout; just about every scene ends with at least one facial, and there are anals galore, multiple DP's, a little cum swapping, some fetish wear, a few gangbangs, etc. There's also a threesome involving a she-male (the scene with Danyele Evangelista and Isis Fischer), if you're interested. The heat level is generally good, with a few really hot scenes. Again, with clips this sort, it's difficult to really get into a scene, but I did find some that I'd re-watch.

The sole extra (sorry, I don't count the advertisement for Elegant Angel's website as an "extra") is a collection of about ten stills from various scenes in the DVD. The way the chapter menu is set up is pretty lame, too; there are only eleven stops displayed for 55 scenes (although, in fairness, each scene does have its own chapter stop; they're just not accessible from the menu).

The A/V presentation, as you'd expect in a compilation, varies. The video portion is never great, nor is it ever terrible; it's mostly clear, sharp, and well-lighted, but with some orange-tinted flesh tones in a few scenes. I didn't notice any compression errors nor any pixelation. The sound is good, and I appreciated that the music was kept to a minimum.
