The fine folks at Adam & Eve are nice enough to send me some movies to watch/review, and I would say we are off to a great start. It''s rare I get to watch an all-girl movie, earlier in my career I had quite the run of girl/girl movies, due to a few certain ladies. And speaking of a few certain ladies, the two who grace the cover of this one, also ended up getting my spotlight scene, our opening scene with Charlotte and Lacy. And coming in a close second is our threeway scene that closes this one, three ladies who are not lacking in the boob or booty area. "Grindhouse XXX: A Double Feature" is a very good production from Adam and Eve that puts forth two features, both done in the over-the-top "grindhouse" style. The first ("Student Assassin") involves Teagan Presley, a student at a local community college who moonlights as a contract killer. Her cop girlfriend (Nina Mercedez) has been taken hostage by a drug kingpin (Derrick Pierce), and it's up to Teagan to rescue her...the hard way. The second ("Massacre at Pine Lake") features Alexis Ford and her crew of camp workers at the Pine Lake camp the day prior to its seasonal opening. After a monstrous serial killer (Lee Stone) escapes from the police and happens upon the camp, the whole place turns into a bloodbath. Fortunately for Alexis, this beast is a pansy when it comes to standard women's self-defense maneuvers--too funny. (All performers, male and female, are identified by clips in the credits, which is a thoughtful touch.) Director: Andre Madness Production date: 8/24/01 Length: 101 min. Extras: Well designed sex menu, 9 min. bloopers, a slide show with 20 photos, and 4 previews. Audio/visual quality: The camerawork nicely mixes long, medium and close-up shots. The focus stays consistently sharp (except for menus and credits, which creatively incorporate a few intentionally fuzzy images). Minor problems with shadows and overlighting are present, but not often enough to interfere with my overall enjoyment of the DVD. There's a low audio hum in places, though it's not overly distracting. The balance is occasionally a little off, especially in scene four. Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for fun sex and who likes girls in glasses Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who thinks heat is dependent on the number of cocks a girl can take at one time Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty clear, but there is a fair amount thats slightly unbalanced.
